Sundqvist retirement announcement

Berocka Sundqvist shocked the world when he joined the stage after the Seattle Bears win against Calgary where Sundqvist scored a goal to talk about something other than the win.

 

This is what he had to say.

 

"Hi everyone, firstly I would like to thank everyone for their support. Especially my original GM in the VHLM @GustavMattias for helping me settle in the league, @Rayzor_7 for picking me up 1st overall in the vhlm draft and also @Banackock for selecting me to play for the Bears. So far I've had a lot of fun in my first four seasons and as a s67 player I have only missed one season in the VHL. In my short tenure I managed to play for team world in the WJC and bring home gold, be drafted 1st in the VHLM, be picked about 8 spots above my expected draft rank in the VHL draft and win the S68 cup.

 

I have had a lot of fun playing with the Bears these past two seasons and training with them in the season prior. I believe they have the team to do well into the future they should be quite scary for the next few seasons.

 

Now looking at my play, I have been quite terrible recently and not really helping the team out too much. This is why I say this with a heavy heart but I will be retiring...

 

Yes I think I have played my best hockey already and don't think I can do much better, so I have come to announce that I am done with hockey immediately....

 

Wait, wait, hold on I wasn't finished...

 

Immediately after I have played out this contract and signed for one year after that I will be done. Yes that is right s74 will be my last season.

 

I hope you all respect my decision... Thank you"
