MGS a Pillar in Wolves' Success

Although many names have been emphasized as “Unsung Hereos” in the past week, one name resonates with Wolves fans in Vancouver. Micheal Gary Scott has been pin-pointed as the VHL’s top second-line centre (as discussed here) and he has the numbers to prove it. 

 

Face-offs

MGS has the 7th best FO% in the league at a staggering 56.61%. He is slightly less than 2% behind his 1st line counterpart, HHH. There is no doubt Vancouver’s success is coming from these two elite face-off winners

 

Goals

Although MGS isn’t quite near the top of the VHL in goals, he sits at an above average 25 goals, sitting alone at 23rd in the league. Notably, five of those goals come off the power-play, and 6 of those total goals are game-winners. 

 

Points

MGS also sits 25th in the league in points. His 25 goals and 32 assists are career-high numbers, blowing his rookie and sophomore seasons out of the water. MGS sits 19th in the league when it comes to PP/20 minutes with 0.69. Nice. This has helped MGS be named 1st star of the game 6 times, as well as 2nd star of the game six times this season.

 

Certainly, MGS is starting to turn heads and will look to be a cornerstone player in the VHL, already with his name on the cup from his rookie season. If anyone is deserving of this year’s most improved player award, MGS fits the mold.

So, with all that out of the way, the theme this season is Unsung Heroes (Player or Member); more specifically a member or player that you feel doesn't get the credit they deserve. This can be about a specific historical player, modern player, a specific member; whatever you want. Just pick something from the multitude of members and or players of the league and write about it or do a graphic for it or whatever.

I ain't reading through a thread to find a comment from a Blue to clarify the rules - that shit should be clear on the first post (a lot of rules are unclear these days/not explained well)

It should have been more clear, that was the exact point of why I commented on it, to clarify. It was implied in the OP but not heavily enough so I made it clear.
