Enorama 2,038
After making that dainty lil graphic for my bud @KC15 about him facing down the big boys in the league as a new draftee who was low enough TPE to play down but instead decided to play up, I decided to look a little more into it. I found one other player in nearly the exactly same situation this season; drafted one slot earlier, had 4 more TPE at draft day, also had enough TPE to play down but decided to play up. It's Calgary Wranglers draftee RJ Jubis @Jubis. Just past the trade deadline, both rookie wingers may be disappointed in their production so far, but they really shouldn't be. Lesieur counts up 12-9-21 in 67 GP while Jubis isn't too far behind at 9-2-11 in 66 GP. If we normalize for their time played, their production comes a little closer together at 0.28 vs 0.22 points per 20 minutes played, respectively. For a couple of players punching pretty far above their weight class, they're doing quite respectably. 169 words, theme week baby Cxsquared, Jubis and KC15 1 2 Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/74646-s69-send-downs-that-stayed-up/ Share on other sites
Jubis 1,348
Took me a few days to make that decision. I passed up tearing it up with a crazily good Saskatoon team to see what I could do at the VHL level.
