Guy Lesieur, RW for the D.C. Dragons, is more than excited about his team’s chances in S70. Why? In S68 the Dragons were 20-49-3 (43 points) and improved to 25-41-6 (56 points) in S69. That’s an increase of over 30% in point production in just one year.

And with S70 just on the horizon things just keep getting brighter and brighter. Of course, the core group of young bucks is just getting better. Lesieur, himself, started as one of bottom 10 TPE men in the VHL, but has steadily earned at near max rates all year long and he is joined by Graves, Washington, Tates, and Hooper.

But GMs @Enorama and @McWolf were not content to rest on the improvement in the young core. They went out and got two superstars: John Frostbeard @FrostBeard and Elasmobranch Fish @Sharkstrong. Frostbeard brings 32 goals and 28 assists and the culture of winning from Seattle and Fish (8 goals, a whopping 46 assists, 129 blocked shots, and 177 hits) becomes a companion to D.C. defensive standout Luciano Valentino (11 goals and 35 assists).

To put the Frostbeard acquisition in perspective, in S69 Mikko Aaltonen scored 32 goals but the next highest goal total was 15 (Jerwa and Graves). Adding Frostbeard instantly eliminates the “one tricky pony” feel of the S69 Dragons and vastly improves the chances of the D.C. hockey club.

Yes, indeed. S70 cannot come soon enough!
