Thoughts about my next player, maybe

So with the way things are, I’m going to be retiring Nielsen at the trade deadline during S71 - making my next player a S73 draftee.  Unfortunately, with the way things went I don’t think I would’ve been able to make Nielsen into that much of a better player than he is now considering regression is about to start and I’ve only just recently returned to activity.  So instead of trying to push against the tide I’ve decided to recreate.  Creating a new player is one of the things I’ve had the most fun with in this league.  I enjoy thinking about what kind of position and build I’m going to go with, what nationality and name the player’s going to have, and so on.  I've had a lot of ideas for name and nationality but the position/build choice is what’s been stumping me.

 

After making two hall of fame forwards in Axelsson and Muller (humble brag), my players afterwards have kind of been a reaction to that.  Morozov was supposed to be a sniper and was supposed to be a build that worked well with a smaller amount of TPE since my interest in the league really wasn’t there at the time for many factors.  Nielsen was because I’d wanted to make a more successful defenseman than my second player, Klaus Müller (a S27 draftee).  Now I feel like I’m not sure about where to go.  Do I make another defenseman?  Do I try a goalie again, which I haven’t done in about 30 seasons?  Do I go back to forward since that’s where I’ve been the most successful?  I have even more thoughts about each position but since this is already too long for a Fan 590 I’m just going to cut it off here.
