Writing about Podcasts might sound a bit funny, listening to Podcasts is a much better look. As an FNG, poking around the forum, I decided to give a podcast a listen and see what they were all about. The Podcast I chose was Dok and Spyro's League News Episode 9: Season 71 Playoffs. I was very impressed.

Not only was it a good listen in its own right, but as an FNG, I found it to be a very good option for me to learn what was happening in the VHL and it also gave me an insight into the thoughts of some of the people who help make things go around here.  I have since listened to a few other Podcasts and I have to say I'm finding them all to be worth investing time in.

So, this isn't an advertisement and I'm not being paid by anyone connected with a Podcast, but I just thought I would post this to maybe encourage others who may not have listened to any VHL Podcasts to give them a try. The guys work hard and have lots of fun doing it. As a VHL rookie its also an invaluable resource for learning more about the game. Some of the content may be NSFW: the odd bad language features, but headphones will keep the boss in ignorance, and that's always a good thing.

I was offered to be a guest and speak on a podcast, but I'm far too shy for that, so perhaps this post is my way of doing that and thanking the people who make them for their efforts.

I just played CoD during my podcasting days. Gave me something to distract myself instead of constantly overthinking everything. Was effective enough to get me 82 episodes so I must have been doing something right.

Nice to see how active you’ve been since joining the league!

Thanks for the praise dude, I’m happy you enjoyed the listen! I think this site is a great place to express your creative side and try things you normally wouldn’t (such as making a podcast, even if you’ve only been in the league a couple months) so I look forward to seeing more posts from you in the future. Go out there and get creative with the articles, graphics, media spots, or any other way to express yourself. Most importantly have fun and make some new friends! :D

Nah man, that shit had a following back in the day. More like 15 cumulative minutes of actual content per hour of video though. The rest was me talking CoD usually.
