Slovakian winger Ondrej Ohradka of the Prague Phantoms has always been known as a hard worker although the results have not always been there. S72, his third season in the VHL and first full campaign with the Phantoms is shaping up to be the career year he’s been working toward.

With only 30 games played so far and over half the season left to play, Ohradka has already set career highs in goals (12), assists (11), points (23), shot blocks (15), and power-play goals (5). He contributes on both ends of the ice and he leads the Phantoms in power plays goals and is tied for the team lead in power play points with 10. He is also one behind the team lead for goals and is second in shooting percentage. A mainstay on the penalty kill unit, he has taken the fourth-most face-offs on the team in spite of being a winger. He is also tied for sixth among VHL forwards in shot blocks.

In a recent interview, Ohradka stated, “The stats are nice and I love helping the team by scoring goals or blocking shots. I’ll do whatever it takes to win. But I really want to make the playoffs and bring a Cup to Prague. That’s the ultimate goal.”
