Prauge Draft Review

After a long disappointing season came to an end, Prague was awarded the number 4 Draft pick in the draft. They ended up realizing that their aging forward core would need multiple peices to re-Tool so they ended up trading quality for quantity.

Early in the draft a lot of Defenceman and Goalies we’re avaliable, with good forwards avaliable later, their number one need is upFront so they traded down and added multiple prospects for the price of one. And the prospects that they added truly look like they could be a solid core in the future.

They only had one pick in the first round, but when 15th pick tolled around, They player at the top of their draft board was still avaliable.

”With the 15th pick, Prauge selects From the Miami Murauders.....Andre LeBastard.” @Andre LeBastard

When I hard Miami theyre were a few players I thought could’ve been selected with this pick (They had a severly deep team  and talented for an expansion). LeBastard is the type of player perfect to replace aging center Alex Pearson. He’s a strong Two way Playmaker, who not afraid to hit and is strong in the faceoff Dot. He had a terrific year with 77 points for Miami. He expects to play a prominent role in the top 6 for years to come, and could potentially be that future number 1 Center prauge will need with Fizz and Pearson moving on in Back to Back seasons.

Prauge picked next in the second round, with pick 21 And picked a very household name to Moscow Fans.

With the 21st pick in the Draft, We select from the Ottawa Lynx....Dan Baille Jr @wcats

A household name around the league, This player Agent returns to the European Conference, this time to start his career in Prauge. GM Glasser was Over the moon when Baille Jr was still available as they were thinking about taking him in the first round anyway. A strong PowerForward, Some teams were scared off by his 44 Points, which is less the ideal for a forward in his draft season, but hopefully he can translate his game better to the pros.

Prauge wouldnt pick again until 45 and 46 When they took back to back Forwards in the 4th Round.

”With picks 45 and 46 we are pround to selecte Bobbie Cheechoo and Theodore James St Louis” @Sharkie and @Nick Kirkpatrick

Two back to back forwards who have the potential to be steals here, Cheechoo especially. St Louis looks to cap out as a Welfare and Practice earner, And Cheechoo hopefully can turn his development around after falling off the past few weeks, expect them to join the phantoms in a few seasons. Cheechoo will dress for Yukon and St Louis for Ottawa. Hopefully both players can have breakthrough seasons as overages.

Prauge made the potential steal of the draft with their next pick

With out next pick, we are proud to select Zachariah Kisslinger” @Kisslinger

A defenceman, Kisslinger declared late for the draft, and therefor didn’t get many games in and may have scared GM’s away from drafting him, but Glasser took a chance, and from what I’ve seen, Kisslinger is here to stay, he’s a terrific skater and shutdown Defenceman. Someone to keep an eye on for sure.

With the last two picks, Prauge selected Secel Keller and Jack Oglivey. Kellars career is likely over due to injury, but Oglivey is more of a medium reward low risk prospect, The kind that can really save your team on cap space in the future.

Review: They picked up a fair amount of prospects in this draft and honestly I think they did a terrific job. LeBastard and Baille Jr are future top Liners, and everyone else has the potential to be a steal. I loved the late round picks of CheeChoo and Kisslinger. Both of which have the potential have be VHL players in the future.

I'm proud to have even got 44 points playing like 10-14 minutes a game on an absolutely stacked roster often on the 3rd line haha.

True, Sorry did not take that into account ;)

No worries! I had wondered myself if that's why I dropped so much lol. Happy to be in Prague though!

I like the style of the writing. Breaking down each of the picks individually also helps not just expand the word count but expands it content wise as well. You even talk about some of the late rounders which I think is pretty cool. Mix that in with the setup at the beginning going into the draft and this is a good read. Well done! 9/10
