With only six games left in their S75 season and in the midst of a seven-game losing skid the Prague Phantoms (63 points) are ten points out of the final playoff spot behind the Moscow Menace with 73 points and a game in hand and the HC Davos Dynamo with 69 points. The losing streak that has seen them outscored 27-12 comes at the most inopportune time as the Phantoms have been hovering around the playoffs all season but haven’t been able to gain any momentum. Many of Prague’s remaining games are against top teams with one against the Dynamo.

While there is yet a sliver of hope, missing the playoffs would be a bitter disappointment for a team that will stand to lose three popular veterans from its roster this offseason due to retirement: Defensemen Wolf Stansson Jr, Seabass Perrin, and left winger Ondrej Ohradka.

Our vets deserve better,” said Thomas Landry II, the Phantom's current leading scorer and only point-per-game player on the team.

Ohradka, who set the team’s single-season goal scoring total at 35 last season, concurs while admitting he’s one of the veteran who needs to step it up.

For some reason, I’ve been skunked on the scoresheet recently,” the Slovakian winger and alternate captain said to reporters. “Hopefully, I can finish strong and we can get some wins. That’s what we’re playing for.” Ohradka is currently mired in a five-game pointless streak and has no goals and only one assist in the Phantoms’ losing streak and he is an uncharacteristic -10.
