Davos, SWITZERLAND - Four games into the new season after a controversial off-season for the Victory Hockey League and Davos rookie Matteo Gallo has finally checked into the team's practice facility. Until now, Gallo has only showed up for games, citing personal reasons for his absence during training sessions, and his play has suffered somewhat because of it, scoring only 2 goals and 1 assist through the team's first 4 games. However, as the league is very forgiving under these circumstances he has been allowed to retroactively use his hours with the team training staff that he was unable to attend to in the past 3 weeks.
Further information on the matter revealed that Gallo had been suffering psychological trauma, claiming a feeling of "being lost" and not knowing whether or not "anyone was actually here or not". Teammates and coaches understood, as the league's temporary lock-out caused stress for everyone, and several members came forward as having trouble connecting.
For his part, Gallo claims all problems are now in the past, that he has found his place in the locker-room and is ready to lead his young team to the playoffs.
