  2. A Night Out With Billy Talent, and Niklaus Mikaelson It is very rare to hear about celebrity musicians giving away tickets to their concerts to other celebrities. Yesterday it happened though. The band Billy Talent, gave Pablo Escabar two backstage passes to their concert in Ottawa for that night. The guys told Pablo he could take who ever he liked to the show, afterwards they would hang out. Pablo did not have to decide who to talk at all. Mrs. Escabar was at home sick and unable to attend. A phone call was made and answered very quickly. Pablo had his friend tag along for the night of their lives. Pablo's friend, Niklaus Mikaelson was just as excited to get one last time with his friend before the season started. The night started off with the two of them going out and buying the most classy suits they could find. The boys had to go out being the most fancy guys at the Canadian Tire Center. After they picked the perfect suits in Toronto, they had to jump in the car and get to Ottawa as soon as they possibly could. They managed to get there in record timing. Pablo Escabar and Niklaus Mikaelson looking classy. A few hours later, Pablo and Niklaus got their drink on. They were pounding beers like they were bottles of water. The arena had the most smooth and excellent brands to clench the thirst. When they started feeling great, the concert had started and they were front row. It could not get anymore cereal for them. The bass was bumping, and the drums were thumping. They were perfectly in sync with the crowd jumping. As the show continued on, they were dancing with beautiful girls and getting numbers like nothing. The ladies were lining up to dance them. Pablo and Niklaus were taking care of the girls being the pimps they are, but after a while they got into some shots and had to get in the mosh pit. What is a concert without one, of course. Pablo and Niklaus, rocking out! After the show, the two Victory Hockey League stars made sure they went right back stage. They had to tell the boys that their show was off the chain. Billy Talent was still hyped from the show themselves and were jumping all around giving each other high fives. The minute they noticed Pablo and Niklaus were in the room, they poured shots of 1952 whiskey to make a toast for a awesome performance by them. Almost immediately they poured another for Pablo and Niklaus coming out for their show and partying afterwards. After a few more weird toasts, they all hoped in a limo and went straight to Montreal. Montreal was only a hour or so away, but it had a lot more classy night clubs and bars. The last place they had to stop at was Niklaus' favorite place, Chez Parée. They spent hours there, having a awesome time, buying dances for themselves and the band. The next morning Pablo and Niklaus woke up in Pablo's house not knowing how they got home or when they got home. Billy Talent must have drove them home in the limo and then went to their hotel room. Pablo had a crazy head ache that made him hold his fore head, like Harry Potter does whenever Voldemore was close. Pablo started his morning with a real greasy McDonalds breakfast with a green tea and a bunch of extra strength Advil. This is where most people would say in their life, I am never drinking again. Pablo is a little different though, his response was, so who is coming out next weekend and what is our plans! (627 words, 2/3 Doubles point task)
  3. Pablo Escabar is becoming pretty known around the Victory Hockey League. A lot of players and general managers are sharing words with Pablo. Relationships are being built everyday, Pablo has finally found his home. The relationship between Pablo and his teammates is the strongest relationship he has though, throughout the whole league. They are hungry and ready to strike like sharks in the ocean! Tigers in the jungle. Lynx in the wilderness! The Ottawa Lynx are excited for the season to start and get into the routine of playing hard. Pablo is excited to see the fans going wild at home games and get into the action with him. Pablo is also excited to see the team opening game ceremony when they have Marky Mark and the Funky bunch preforming the Canadian anthem and a few extra tracks during the intermissions. If you guys are excited to see Marky Mark and The Funky Bunch live, purchase you Lynx tickets now at the box office with the promo code "Funky Friday". 50% of proceeds will go to the Walburgers CO. While the other 50% will be donated by the Ottawa Lynx to the Red Cross. We hope to have a full arena, with all you amazing fans present. Till then, Pablo
  4. Pablo Escabar was drafted sixteenth overall to the Ottawa Lynx earlier this week. Pablo is very happy to be representing such a great organization. The coaching staff is awesome and the practise facilities are well organize and always open. Pablo's most favourite part about the team is the fans, they are crazy and wild. Home games get very noisy and pumped up. It strives the Lynx to play so much better when at home, the other teams cant stand it and just end up getting frustrated. It will be interesting to see how the Ottawa Lynx perform this next season. The team is full of a bunch of young guy, but they are all hungry looking to prove them self's go the big show general managers. For Pablo, his main objective for the season to win. With wins comes attention. Come attention comes being notice, that's what a good friend once taught Pablo. The Preseason is coming very soon and Pablo is beyond stoked to see how the season starts off. Currently he has mix feelings because, they all just got drafted and do not have chemistry with each other at all. Chemistry can take one line shift to a whole season, all depends to be honest. So lets get this season 42 started and see what happens !!!!
  5. Next time! *This is my 1st of 3 for doubles media spot.*
  6. Pablo's Off Season In Paradise The Escabar family packed up their summer clothes and escaped to Costa Rica. Its the warmest season of the year in Costa Rica and they were dying to get away. Air Canada was so excited that Pablo wanted to travel through them that they gave him a really good deal that was almost next to free. When they first got to the resort they were overwhelmed. The people were very nice and polite to the tourist. After they brought them to their room, they were way to excited to stay cooped up inside. Immediately they threw on their swim suits and ran for the beach. The beach was way better then they thought it was going to be, the sand was white and the water was so blue. Starring out towards the ocean, the only thing you could see was waves and the horizon. It seemed like it went forever. Looking down the beach it was the same, never ending and beautiful. The restaurants had better food than most back home, the escabar's ate so much every day. When walking through the resort no matter where you were going there was always bars. It was very good for when your beer got too warm, you could just exchange it for a newly cold one. Mrs. Escabar really enjoyed that. There was things for everyone to do every day, it was impossible to get bored. When Pablo was out fishing, his wife would tan on the boat. If Pablo was playing volleyball on the beach, his wife had the relaxing and soothing spa to go to. They were in paradise. They had reservations at all the fancy restaurants for every other night they were there. The second night they went to the sea food restaurant, they ate so much lobster that they were starting to turn into a lobster. The fourth night they went to the steak house restaurant, unfortunately it was a disappointment. The steaks tasted funny to the Escabar's, it wasn't like the rich well prepared beef they are use to back home. The sixth and final night, Pablo took his wife to a special planned dinner. Pablo had the resort set up the most romantic moon light dinner on the beach for the two of them. Pablo caught what he described as dinner here. At the end of their trip they were devastated, they did not want to leave. They were having the time of their lives. The bonding time was what they needed and was bringing them closer together. When they are back home they are so busy, they do not see each other as much as they would like to. Although like all good things the trip had to come to an end, weather they did not want it to or not. Pablo knew he had to get back into the weight room and was dying to get back into the rink. As for most women, Mrs. Escabar was already looking into planning another trip on Pablo's next off season for the two of them.
  7. Pablo Escabar Position: Defence Handedness: Right Jersey Number: 17 Height: 6'6" Weight: 250 lbs. Childhood Pablo Escabar was conceived in Mexico, although born in Canada. The son of Jose and Papi Escabar. Pablo's parents wanted out of Mexico so they snuck across the border and made their way to a little town in Ontario named Peterborough. Pablo and his family thought they were safe in Canada, but Pablo's fathers drug friends were constantly following them. They had they fear of being caught everyday and dragged back to Mexico, where they would be executed for running away. The fear got to be too much that when Pablo was five, his father said enough is enough. What was done next, was all that could be done. The little five year olds daddy went to prison for two counts of first degree murder. Years passed where Pablo had to live without a dad, eventually he found a hobby that took his mind off it all. At age seven, Pablo Escabar was introduced to the game of ice hockey. At first he wanted to quit, he was always falling down and getting so frustrated that his anger would over power his judgement. Coaches would take one on one time to help Pablo control his anger, nothing they did helped. It did not take the coaches nor Pablo's mom to long to realize that his anger could be a positive and motivating thing. Pablo was put on the defensive position of the team, where he was taught to hit with his body. The play of his game became unstoppable, he was scary and intimidating. High School The older Pablo got, the bigger and stronger he got as well. In his junior year at Adam Scott C.V.I., he was named captain of the team. Being awarded the team captain helped Pablo build his Leadership skills on and off the ice. This made him a better and mentally stronger person and player. It was in his senior year that he grew an undying love for the spotlight. When cameras were aiming at him , he pushed that much harder making it hard for anyone to take their eyes off him. At the end of Pablo's senior year he had won the championship twice, been awarded most valuable player three times and had a contact list of college scouts. University Scholarships were being sent to Pablo very rapidly and in bulk. There was a huge decision to be made, on where he wanted to play and attend school. After three long weeks he finally made his decision. Where he would be playing for the next four years would be, Boston University. Pablo social life in university went down hill, although it was his personal choice. All his friends were into partying and getting high, but Pablo just wanted to focus on his game. In his first season they did not even make the playoffs, it was very stressful on Pablo and he began to get irritated. When the off season came, Pablo spent double the time in the training room. If you could not find him in the gym then he was on the ice doing drills over and over trying to perfect them. When the second season game he was raring to go. Finishing the season, Pablo had thirty goals and forty assists. Boston was awarded State Champs, finishing undefeated. That was the last season Pablo played in University hockey, a miracle happened for him. National Hockey League The Boston Bruins general manager could stand watching such good talent being held back. Watching every single one of Pablo's games he saw the passion and inspiration. Pablo got a phone call at three am on the morning of August 14th/2012, it was the Boston general manger offering Pablo a contract to play for them as a first liner. This was a dream come true for Pablo. Making the big leagues was all he ever wanted. After three seasons with the Boston Bruins, Pablo just was not fully satisfied. There was even more to his game he wanted to show the world. There was only one possible league above the national league he could join. Pablo had his agents put an application in for the Victory Hockey League (VHL). Victory Hockey League ( Minors) Pablo worked his tail off for two weeks, trying to prove himself. After the long and stressful draft, Pablo went sixteenth overall to the Ottawa Lynx. The season has not started yet but workouts are intense and Pablo is playing in the Pro Cup. To learn where Pablo Escabar's destiny next follow him on the forums! Pros Defence - Pablo is really confident on defence and does the right plays at the right time. Not afraid to throw himself in front of a shot, or throw his weight around to stop a play. Poke checking is not an issue for Pablo, he loves intercepting the puck. Most importantly, he loves shutting down star players. Skating- Compared in speed with the superhero the Flash, Pablo is very quick on his feet. Mother had him skating since he was eight. Always found where he is needed and never falling behind the play. Scoring- Pablo has a very strong and accurate shot. Goals are not a issue for him. Most goalies fear him for the power of his slap shot. Pablo can be found pinching in plays when he can see a opening or great chance to put the puck in the net. Cons Fighting- Fighting is not one of Pablo's strong skills. Pablo has a tendency of getting to angry to the point where he loses judgement. Getting angry in a fight only makes things worse. Pablo needs to work on controlling the fight while being calm and patient. Discipline- Pablo is in search for his inner peace, but until then he loves taking his anger out on the opposing team. It puts him in the sin bin and does not help his team when they are on the penalty kill. This year Pablo will be working on controlling his anger with a anger management councillor. Experience- Pablo is new to the forum based simulated leagues, but he is willing to put in the time to learn and improve. This skill will take longer than the others but it will be the most valuable.

  9. Pablo Escabar- Big Man On Campus Pablo Escabar, sounds Mexican. Although he has Mexican in his genes, he was born and raised in Canada twenty one years ago. Pablo's parents moved to Ontario, Canada when he was still in the whom. They got into a bunch of trouble with the Mexican drug cartel, and they were looking for a new and better start for their son. Being raised in Canada really gave Pablo a great opportunity to play hockey, it really helps that he grew up to be 6'6 and 250 pounds. All of the kids in school picked on him and made fun of him for being so big, they would call him names like big foot and troll or even butch. Pablo's high school hockey coach saw the potential and skill that Pablo had and helped him strive for his dream to one day come true. The dream to play in the Victory Hockey League. Since Pablo started playing hockey everyone has been comparing him to the Boston Bruins superstar Zdeno Chára, They both are big defenders and have a lot of body weight to throw around, and they both have a wicked hard slap shot. After constantly being compared to Chara so much in his life, Pablo Escabar decided to start learning to play almost identical to Chara's game. He watched practice clips and lots of games, striving to learn as much as possible. Pablo now knows he has the skill to be in the VHLM, but will he have the dedication and passion to reach the Victory Hockey League Hall of Fame? Pros Size: Pablo has a lot of weight to throw for hits, as well as to put in the way of shots. He has never had problems blocking shots or intimidating the opposing team. Pablo likes to make the others players fear going on one on ones on him. Being bigger than his opposition usually tends to rattle the other team that he faces. Defense: This falls under the whole size pro, although it also helps Pablo with his defensive awareness. Knows the perfect time to cut of passing lanes and when to poke the puck away. Pablo is a very good stick lifter and can time it perfectly not to get a slashing penalty. Scoring: When Pablo has an open wind up, he can release a cannon. Pablo's shot is one of the hardest ever seen, he has hospitalized numerous players and fans because of it. Setting up the passes and one-timers is another specialty he has. The scoring aspect of his game is what he intends on mastering to help him become a solid two-way defender in the VHL. Cons Fighting: Pablo grew up in a well raised catholic home. Its not that he can not fight, but he chooses not too. There is no thrill seen in it. If he wanted to be a fighter he would have strived to be in the Ultimate Fighting League. One day he hopes he can go up against the best of them and even knock out a few people and make some of them lose their teeth. Puck Handling: Its something that need improvement, Pablo has plans to build it up has soon has be gets the basics down of the new speed game play he is not quiet use to. In tryouts, he has caused a few turnovers that should have never happened. Experience: This one is for more being in the Victory Hockey League form wise. Pablo is not use to form simulated leagues, and hopes to gain experience learning from skilled and talented members of the league. Hopefully he can continue his experience and it can grow on him. He wants to become a better player and in time he believes he can accomplish that.
  10. Pablo Escabar is looking forward to seeing all of his hard work pay off in the next week or so. Pablo will be entering the VHLM draft as a defender standing at six feet plus and some great body weight to throw around. Although the talk about Pablo in the upcoming draft by general managers is " where the hell did this young talented man come from?" he wants to show that he belongs. In a recent interview we asked Pablo how he felt about this great milestone that he is accomplishing in his life, his response was priceless. " I'm not only here for my good looks, if that's what you think. Well then you are going to be very amazed this upcoming season." Pablo may not be all talk either. Last season for the Peterborough Petes, Pablo got 170 hits 30 goals and 59 assists. Pablo was also awarded the most valuable player and his team won the calder cup.
