After I saw I was not considered to be good enough to be drafted by a VHL team I thought they were crazy. I kept quiet and continued to play very well for my team in the VHLM. I was watching the draft from home because I thought there was no way I would be drafted all the scouts said I was trash. So I did not attend the draft in person. At the last minute I got a call from one of the GMs saying they were willing to take a risk on me and draft me with one of their later picks. I was so excited to hear this I decided to make a plan on my off season training and decided to hire a proffesional hockey coach to help me develop my game this off season. I did not need a break I thought to myself. I thought I must prove every other team wrong by being a steal! In the end I was eventually drafted by the bears. I will not let them down! Interviewer: how did your friends and family react? My parents were overwhelemed with joy. They knew I was good at hockey and I owe everything to them. They sacrificed alot of time and effort into me by sogning me up for hockey school and camps. I also got texts from my team mates from moscow. They told me congratulations and stuff and good bye as I would be switched to A new team. I even got some suprise texts from the superstars already on the Bears roster. So all in all I was really excited. Interviewer: okay last question. What are you going to do with your first paycheck? Super cock: I am probably not going to spend much of it. To be honest I am going to spend some of it moving to a new apartment near my to VHLM team the Oslo Storm. Moscow was fun but now it is time to move on and say hello to my new town and team mates. I am excited to be apart of a new great and organization! So in conclusion I will not be spending very much of my first VHL cheque. The other league was making me play for an hourly wage. Like what is that? Atleast with this league I can actually live instead of work my ass off and barely get by! To win a game you have to play as a team in order to win games younalso have to carry that mentality in the playoffs. No showing off or trying to be fancy, play a simple game such as getting shots on goal for a rebound, finishing your checks, back checking. All of these will help your team compete every game!
