Newer to being active in the league. Not acquainted with you. But, man, that's awesome! Congrats on everything.

Yokohama Expansion [1/2]

Thanks! I do think there are a few similarities but not that much. They could easily exist in the same league. I am just using gif overlays in Photoshop. But I have lightroom and would like to explore that a bit more going forward. -
First point hype. Too bad we lost.

I'd give myself a 6/10 on this one. Not my best work. Not really a lot to work with. Text is a little uninspired. Still hope it gets a little use. @Brrbisbrr

Ottawa Lynx press conference
InciteHysteria replied to diamond_ace's topic in Team Press Conferences
1. Zeno Miniti's current ppg is 2.125, that is the best i've ever seen and is on pace for 153 points, how much do you think he will get? What an amazing display of hockey. Can we just sit back and enjoy what he's doing right now. If he finishes with 140, 150, 160, or whatever, who cares? The dude is on fire and should scare the crap out of anyone that has to face him moving forward. 2. Looking at your stats, how much do you think you will get, will you slow down or speed up. Have you seen my stats? I ain't scored shit. I've got Mr. TwoPoints Okada over here rattling his mouth about being generational. Guess that's all it takes to be generational. Infinitely more points than me I guess. 3. Whats the funnest part of the league so far? Busting the chops of people on my team. Pumping out cool graphics for people I like. Most importantly that it's not the SHL. 4. Any predictions where you will go in the upcoming VHL/VHLM draft. Not sure. Somewhere that'll get a good player that flies under the radar. Kind of my thing. I will say somewhere with a draft pick. 5. Has being on the Lynx affected your outlook on the vhl, what it be like if you were on a worse team. Not really. I am here just to have fun. As long as my teammates are cool - I am happy. I just don't want to go somewhere dead. 6. A constant debate on vhl is team forum activity and discord activity, its believed new players like discord better and don't use the site as often, is this true? I think both have their place. I think the forum is better for long form posts. Anything longer than a paragraph doesn't belong on discord. But as someone who just likes small-talk. I can say that I like discord a lot for that purpose. I think they can exist in a world together. Anyone saying otherwise is being dramatic. -
Ottawa, ON, CAN - Newly signed Ottawa Lynx winger Symere Myles has had a rocky start to his VHLM career. Being left off the scoreboard in his first week of action, being given limited time after his struggles became apparent, and being officially “Pearl Habor’d” by linemate Hiroshi Okada. Needless to say that Myles hasn’t had the most spectacular first week in the league. When asked about the shot taken by teammate Okada, Myles kept a cool head and responded with obvious disappointment in the attack taken by a supposed coadjutor. “Shh man. Okada has tipped a few pucks up the ice and gotten lucky with a talented player finishing. Just remember the last time Japan attacked the US it didn’t end so well. Bro just wish he had my drip.” Despite difficulties and struggles Symere Myles has shown he can keep positive attitude and when the pucks start finding the back of the net he will no longer have to defend himself verbal assaults. Myles looks to pick up his play as the Lynx travel to the Yukon to take on the Rush.

(S69) RW - Symere Myles, TPE: 30
InciteHysteria replied to InciteHysteria's topic in Create A Player
Accepted. Will happily play with you guys. Especially since you helped me get back into the league. To the rest of the teams. Totally open to playing anywhere once the draft happens! -
Symere Myles | Right Wing | Chicago, Il, USA | 6'1" | 197lbs Symere Myles is a prospect declaring for the upcoming VHLM draft. He will be eligible to be drafted into the VHL in the S69 draft. His draft position is currently in limbo but in recent play he has shown he has the talent to be a taken in one of the top rounds. A scoring winger with panache and swagger, Myles is sure to turn heads if his play continues to develop at it's current rate. Myles is a new prospect on the radar and will likely draw attention from a few teams - but being someone just popping up on teams boards, he must sustain his growth and show he will be an important prospect for the team moving forward. Myles is not represented by any agency at the moment and has decided to forge forward with his own interests in mind. Today we will be taking a look at Myles' skills and play and what he can do well and what he struggles at. Myles' calling card is scoring. His tenacity around, and nose for, the net is about as natural for a hockey player as we've seen in years. He has an explosive shot that finds it's way to the back of the net often. Myles also is no slouch in the skating department. He has top end speed and can blow by defenders with ease. While many players possess top end speed, Myles knows how to use his speed. He knows when to turn on the jets and where to lull players into a false sense of security. Knowing how to use his speed allows him to excel in the transition game. Players will never quite understand when and where Myles will turn on his speed. Always making him a threat on the ice. He plays both ends of the ice and rarely is seen long in the neutral zone. Transitioning from end-to-end effortlessly. He finds himself open often and has a sneaky playmaking game hiding behind his penchant to shoot the puck whenever it finds it's way onto his stick. Puck Control is another area that Symere has showed excellent promise. While he doesn't dangle as much as some of the more flash prospects in the draft - that doesn't mean he lacks the ability. His extreme speed has lowered his need to use the puck handling as often. He will usually pull out the skill while deploying the "rope-a-dope" strategy and putting his opponent to sleep before turning on the jets. His best chance is to spend time in the VHLM tuning these skills like the hod rod that he is. Time to marinate and attune for a faster speed will give him the edge needed to compete and eventually have a chance at dominating in the VHL. While he is still a very raw prospect flying well under the radar. Symere Myles has skills that many of the top scorers in the VHL possess. We could see him becoming among the best if he hits his peak. Myles lacks physicality in his game. While he's not as physically imposing as some of his fellow prospects - he's not small either. His refusal to use his body more has left him open to being bullied by more physical players. Finding himself the target of physical play has resulted in games where Myles will disappear completely - either looking for a defender that isn't there or playing entirely in his own head. Lack of physicality doesn't mean he's not a fierce competitor but that he has not properly learned how to use his size. Something that needs to be sorely worked on. Passing is something that Myles has been mediocre at since he first started playing hockey. Going back to some of his tapes from youth hockey he has always had the drive to shoot the puck. Much like a limb not used, his passing has atrophied into a husk. He has the talents but has never chosen to use them. None of his coaches have truly pressed him into doing so either. As he simply puts up numbers with his scoring and nobody can really argue with that. Hopefully once drafted into the VHLM a coach can help coax that skill out of him. We're not holding our breath - but the talent is there. The thing we are most concerned about Symere Myles would be strength training. While not skinny, he is not hockey strong. He needs to hit the weight room and badly. Being able to take the punishment night in and night out will becoming a big issue once Myles begins playing in a more competitive league such as the VHLM. The wear and tear on a human body can become insurmountable and injuries could take a toll on the young winger. Strength Training must be the first thing Myles pushes himself to conquer. "A fantastic addition to the draft class. Great offensive skills. Workable defensive toolkit. Has performed well throughout the last few years in Youth Hockey. Easily among the most entertaining and dynamic players in the draft." -- Porey Cronman from The Athletes "Speed burner with all the offensive upside in the world. One team could get very lucky or very unlucky. Depends on what Myles shows up." -- Chad King from Bros4Hockey "American talents of this caliber are hard to come by. I'd give him a 11/10." -- Kyle Drywall from Monster Energy Sports

Not too concerned. Thank you for the consideration though. If you have a spot I'd love it. But Kristjan is aiming to be a killer player and I finally want to get a VHL player further than the VHLM. So commence TPE whoring! -

Luckily I get to look forward to 3 minutes a night on the Oslo Storm (assuming all teams make it) with my previous player. Who never got off the ground. Haha. Oh well. Time to pack in that TPE. -
Just about one minute in this game. Haha.
