    1. The JST is finally in full swing! We've got 3 days worth of sims out with a W/L/OTL record of 5-4-2 (there will be 4 by the time you probably see this). Standing at the top of the standings by a point, how is your player feeling they're performing so far at the start?
I think im punching above my weight, I'm doing real guud. I just take to many penalties, Like 2 minirs a game. I really need to bring that down to give my team a chance of winning.

    2. Looking at the previously played games, where could we see some improvement made?
Passing i would say, i had 4 apples in one game, That's exactly what i want and made me all giddy

    3. Which team is the most frustrating to play against for your player?
without looking at stats, just following my gut feeling i would say our team cant beat team Clue.

    4. How do you feel your player is meshing with the rest of their teammates?
Very well, again following my big ol'e gut it feels like i have many assists on Gregger McKeggegger's goals.

    5. Would you rather have a lightly cloudy day with the temperature at 75ºF/24ºC or a rainy day with the same temperature and low thunder rumblings?
Lightly cloudy, i love doing stuff in the garden and thunder often means rain

    6. If grass isn't really greener on the other side, what color is it?
    probably brown, its shit-grass Randy.

What is the one burning question all GM’s of the VHL are sitting in their office thinking about?
Sweating, fingers through the hair, Screaming followed by long times of eerie silence and praying to the higher power of their choice?

WHO WILL BE THE BEST PLAYER FOR MY TEAM  IN THIS DRAFT?

To help relieve the GM’s of some stress I have put together a sort of scouting report on Mississaugas Tord Yvel who might just be the answer to the question keeping brass up at night.
Yvel didn’t play the full season in the VHLM but after watching him in the junior showcase tournament as well I think I have enough to make a fair assessment.
    Here Goes.

Joining the Mississauga Hounds in the middle of the season Tord seems to have found his footing pretty fast. Placed on a first pairing with half-man half-machine BIG B
Tord was given a golden opportunity to succeed. While things could have gone better it was in no way a failure.
If you have read the biography you know that he hasn't been skating on any serious level since his fathers abduction in 2020.
To come in and play though first line minutes after a hiatus that long is no easy task.
With 22 Games played in the s87 regular season Tord managed to put up 13 points(1 Goal - 12 Assists) and while points are nice that's not really what Tord is about.
Mr.Yvel is a defense-first kind’a defender with a great first pass, transitioning the puck up the ice.
highlighted by his 30 TPE spent on pokechecking, 29 on Passing and 27 defensive zone coverage, those are the three highest attributes of Tord Yvel.
While his skating has a weird look to it he's actually not that bad of a skater, He won’t blow past people with dazzling speed but he will certainly not be put on his heels in the VHLM either.
With a total of 52 in Skating Tord has a long way to go before he can keep up with the lightning fast VHL, But for a VHLM rookie he’s no snail.

Where Tord has really come to shine is the s87 Junior Showcase tournament.
he’s over a point per game player while also helping his team (Steelers) keep pucks out of their own net.
While Tord is second overall in Penalty minutes which is something he must get down to a more reasonable level
if he’s gonna fulfill his dream of being a two way minute muncher in the big leagues,
Otherwise hi’s stats are very nice and just what you want to see in a prospect worthy of first-round consideration.
I’m just gonna let his ranking spots do the talking and you will see why I have Tord Yvel as high as I do on my draft-rankings.

5th in Assists (t)=Tied 5th in +/-(t) 10th in Hits 3rd in Shots Blocked(t) 2nd in Minutes played 4th in Points For Defensemen  (with approximately 18 games played)

If that can’t convince you that Tord has a big and bright future on your team and in the VHL. Nothing can.
The GM’s picking in the first round must be sure the player their picking is a surefire superstar or they might find themself out of a job in a few seasons
Because letting Yvel slide and pick a dud will not please ownership or fans.

So today is the day, or should I say night? in Sweden where Tord Yvel lives the clock will be around one am

Since i’m new to this i didn't understand that there will be two drafts. First VHL and then VHLE where I expect to spend next season
but for most of Yvels grown life he will hopefully live in the city where he gets drafted.
In the VHL mock-draft Tord was selected to go in the second round at 21 to HC Dynamo Davos.
And to even be considered as a second rounder is truly awesome.
So with the mock in mind i will go through the three teams around where Tord is picked and list the pros and cons

    The junior showcase tournament is in full swing and today I thought we should take a look at the number one top talent, Leading the tournament in points as a defenseman and per my sources also a wonderful human being;

    Liv Slater(@Subject056)
9 Goals 25 assists for 34 points in 18 Games Played

Many wonder how this is possible, The Junior Showcase tournament has been held yearly for awhile now and not once has a defender held the top point-producer spot this far in (at least i don't believe so).
The brigade's GM really hit the jackpot with this pick.

On a scale 1-100 experts have ranked his puckhandling skill at 62 and that's what this prospect does best.
After a game against the Steels I know an investigation was launched looking into the stickiness of Slaters stick.
As far as i know nothing was found but some players still believe he's using some kind of glue to keep the puck on his stick.

“It’s glue. I swear that prick is gluing his stick! Frick it! It’s impossible to have that control naturally!!”
A very frustrated Tord Yvel said in the post game media scrum.

He really does it all for his Brigades this year. the points establish his dominance in the offensive zone.
Let's have a quick look at his defensive-game. scouts ranked his defensive ability at 60 and it shows up when you look at the numbers.
35 blocked shots takes him to a tied third place in the tournament, with a couple games fewer than the one and two ranked.
with 48 hits he is tied seventh in the tournament. We can surely say he's not a soft and cuddly teddy bear either.
you will have to pay the price if you want to enter a zone that Liv Slater is holding down.
I personally recommend that you just turn around and go to your own zone, it's a lot better for your health.

Even off the ice Liv seems to help his team and be a top notch human being.
Here’s a quote i got from teammate Alex Carlson describing the person Slater is:

“Liv has been an excellent teammate who is not only dedicated on the ice but in the lockerroom as well.
I played with her in Houston, on team brigade in the journey tourney and we are again teammates on team world.
I will miss her presence in Houston lockerroom but wherever she goes,
the team will be lucky to have her”
    -Alex Carlson

I don’t know where Liv will end up in the draft but I will be very surprised if it’s not in the top of the class.
    They say the GM’s of the VHL have a difficult decision to make in the upcoming draft. I personally don't think this is something to fret about;
Pick Liv Slater as early as you possibly can, trade up if you have to and never look back. Here you have a high end top 2 defenseman with leader capabilities.

I will enjoy watching Slaters journey in the VHL-sphere, a fantastic player that will only get better as the competition hardens and the challenges get bigger.

Trazan got a reaction from Tetricide in Steel press conference for the junior showcase tournament
    1. Welcome to the Steel and the Junior Showcase Tournament! How pumped is your player to start?
Very! I feel Tord didn't really show of his defensive qualities in the short time he got in the VHLM before the season ended and this will be the perfect opportunity for Tord to do that.

    2. We have a lot of fresh talent in the tournament. How close do you think the games will be in terms of scoring?
I Believe it will be high scoring high paced hockey, Open roads for both teams. I'm glad Tord isn't a goalie in this tournament.

    3. There are players you've scored or defended against on your team! Any rivals or friends amongst them?
Not yet, Altough Legacy Gaming really got on my nerves in our playoff matchup. Impossible to defend against his wicked wrister.

    4. How has your experience been in the league so far?
Very good, IHad a short stint a few years ago but i fluttered out, This time around i'm more interested in making it work. Since i'm a family guy now i don't have much time just for myself but this game doesn't take forever to do, You can do it whenever there's time and i can sit and just get lost in the game sheets or a graphic for awhile. And i get to practice my written English wish is rusty AF.
    5. Coke or Pepsi? (if you abstain from soda, we can pretend for a moment that you don't  )
Not Much of a soda guy, But Coke Zero to the rum is always good

    6. What is your favorite day of the week
I like em all except Tuesdays... Tuesdays suck.

I did not know that Börje Salming was a Sami... that is really a nice touch and it is really low key as you wanted it to be for the humble player that Salming was.

Trazan got a reaction from Hogan in Mississauga Hounds Press Conference
    1. Are you excited for the playoffs?
Hell Yes! Although the first two games haven't been our strongest outings, I believe in our squad to make some noise.
    2. If this is your first playoff experience, what do you expect? If you've been here before what do you tell the young guys to help them out?
I expect the tempo, the intensity and most of all the physicality to increase. if we’re gonna win games we need to battle hard for it.
    3. Take a guess at how Mississauga will do in these playoffs.
    Conference Final.
    4. How should the team cheer up Woolfenden after barely missing out on the 100 point mark?
    making sure he becomes playoff-MVP
    5. Who was our MVP this season?
    Woolfenden
    6. Who's going to be our playoff MVP?
    woolfenden

Trazan got a reaction from jacobcarson877 in Houston Bulls VS Mississauga Hounds: First Round MVP's
    A Closer look at
    Houston Bulls Versus Mississauga Hounds

Hello and welcome to this week’s around the VHLM.
This week I'm going to focus on a first round playoff matchup that could see the winners take home the trophy.
Whether it's the Houston Bulls led by their goal-scoring machine Legacy Gaming or the Misissauga Hounds with their puckmoving monster Big B
These two teams are going hard at it and to see such a battle in the first round is joy to fans and experts alike.

With the Bulls up 3-1 in games we’ll take a look at one player one each team i believe is crucial for their teams continued success

    Legacy Gaming (@Gamin Ringleader)

Legacy is purely driven by offense as his numbers will show you. A pure goalscorer some say, A generational playmaker others howl. But the truth is probably somewhere in between.
In the modern day of VHL and VHLM you can't be one dimensional, you gotta have a bunch of elite qualities if you wanna play with the best teams in the world.
And let me tell you: Legacy is well on his way in his development.

With 5 goals and 6 apples he combines for 11 points in just 4(!) games, Let me repeat that for you FOUR GAMES!
I know what you are thinking “how hard can it be when you post up at the gr8-Position on PP1?”
What if I tell you: Only 2 of his points have come on the powerplay!
If the Bulls are gonna take home this series Legacy needs to stay red hot.
With a 27+ shooting percentage that might not be the case,Even though we are talking about an elite shooter, It’s surely bound to drop down to a more sustainable level.
But if he can keep it up he might become the most prolific scorer to ever suit up for the bulls.

The Bulls are lucky to have him and would be miles away from the title without him.

    Big B (@BigB33)

This Malmö Blackhawks draftee is a type of defender every team that wants to contend for a championship must have.
Strong and firm yet he possesses that high end agility that more muscle oriented players so often lack.
And just like Legacy, Big understands the game on another level. Big B will judge the situation correctly almost every time. No shot on the shin pads with this guy.

I’m not saying that he’s a bad shooter but it's his passing who sticks out the most in his offensive toolbox.
With 4 Assists in 4 games he leads the team in assists and is only second behind Hannibal Barca(5points) in total points.
Maybe he lacks the points that legacy are putting up but boy, oh boy does he do some heavy lifting on the defensive side of the rink with 9 blocked shots and 15 hits.
Since zero of his 4 points come on the powerplay that’s where he needs to find a way to be more involved.
Mississauga hounds Powerplay has a nice 26 percent success rate and if The Hounds want to keep that number up Big B must be a bigger part of that.
Personally I believe he will. Big is just to good to not figure it out.
If he can produce more points on the powerplay he’s got a good chance  to be the best defenceman in the whole VHLME and maybe one day VHL.

I don’t know much about Malmö Redhawks as i am a reporter of the VHLM, but i know they have a bright future with up and coming Big B on the backend.
Down 3-1 in this series The Hounds have a mountain to climb, Without Big B that would not be possible. But with him, Everything is possible.
