The Oslo Storm lost a heartbreaker Game 7 to the Cologne Express, and top center Jimi Jax is putting it on himself for the loss. “I’ve got to be better. Given my potential an expectations, I just did not produce like I wanted to” Jax was the 3rd overall pick in the VHL Draft and was looking to dominate the Europe league as a warmup year before he becomes a rookie in the VHL. HE started off hot, being amongst the leading scorers in the league, but cooled off near the end and failed to contend with any scoring category. “It’s a bit disappointing – but I think I underrated the skill in this league. There are a lot of good players and I had a bit of a wake up call. Maybe I took the foot off the gas a little too early in the year”. Jax, who was still visibly upset following the loss is looking to take some time off before getting back into offseason training and prepare for his rookie year. “I think I need to just take a breather here, go on a vacation and clear my mind. It’s been a rough couple day and I’m not expecting to get over it any soon. Either way, I’m going to be ready for training camp.”

1. we did it were back in the finals vs Cologne, what’s it gonna take to win the Cup ? - A scoring by committee approach. We've done this throughout the entire playoffs and its been working very well. 2. @JB123 was seen at a semi final after party having a little too many wine coolers . Is this type of behaviour by management acceptable or should he lead by example ? - it will only be an issue if he doesn't have more when we win the finals. 3. What’s been our biggest strength in this seasons playoff run ? - As I said its scoring by committee. Whenever one player is having an off game another steps up and gets the job done. 4. Who’s been our MVP so far this post season ? -Definitely McFleury, he has been shutting down everyone while still being able to chip in. 5. What do you think has contributed to Oslo’s sustained success in the past couple seasons ? - Great managing by our own @JB123 6. Who is winning coming out of the NA and EU conferences in the VHL ? Seattle and Malmo

Review Nice to see some differentt types of graphics that aren't straight up sigs. I used to love changing my background on the computer to the playoff tree so this is nostalgia. I love the soft black and white background that doesn't take too much away from the bracket itself. My picky self thinks that the #1 seed should have been used in both sides of the backgoung, but its still a really nice idea to use players. I love whatever effect you have on the trophy. It's a nice little addition that makes it the Frank brand. The VHL logo is also embedded into the cup very nicely. I think I would have used a stroke on the square-style logos but I do love the touch of lighting you have on the winning teams. 9.75/10

Catching up with Jimi Jax (OSLO / 20FEB2023) It’s been months since Jimi Jax went 3rd overall in the S87 VHL Entry Draft before ultimately deciding to crossing the pond to help develop his two way game in the VHLE. The American born center is currently leading the Oslo Storm in scoring, and amongst the top 10 league wide in goals and points. The Storm are loaded with talent as they go for a repeat championship – currently in a dogfight with the Cologne Express for fist in the league. The strong performance on the ice is reflective to the system that Oslo has in place, according to Jax. “It’s impressive how they treat their players here. They take you in, understand your weaknesses, and provide you the proper training program to help you get better overall.” Jax took the risk to travel from home – turning down his chance at jumping to the VHL to try and work on his skills, worried the miles and delay would be a waste of a season. The risk has certainly paid off, as Jax feels he has elevated his game and is prepared to make the jump the following season. "I feel really good - but right not I'm not focused on next year. We have a great team that wants to win. We want to give the guys from last season a repeat - so that's really my focus now".

I went to find yours specifically to review and laughed a lot that we did the exact same thing. The first thing I notice for a non-render sig is that JCs could have been done on the players but it wasn’t. Other than that, you have great textures and lighting to give it a bit of abstract effect to it. Love the placement of the team logos under text, kind of makes it look like a TV graphic. The text to me is a little too grungy and would have ordered something with a bit more sleek. Overall a really good theme week throw in sig. 8/10

Review I really like that version of the Wolves logo to differentiate it from LA a bit. The graphic has a lot of text, so there’s no need to have a lot of detail (which is what you’ve done). Everything is nicely laid out with the names on bottom, stats on top right and trophy in the Center dividing the players. I would have liked to see a fact for Biggie Cheese as well to match a text overlay that’s on PEB. Jersey change is flawless and A nice choice of colours as well, however it looks weird on dark mode because the black on the bottom blends in with the background. 9/10

What's the attitude in the locker room not knowing whether Riga will sell or buy at the deadline? 3. There are 3 points between 2nd and 6th in the conference- what's the key to making sure we come out on top? 4. What type of player do you think is missing from this group that makes the team a contender? 5. What's your expectation for the NHL Trade Deadline this year? 6. Are you ready for winter to be over yet?

1. One week later, we're still pretty close to a playoff spot! In your opinion, does it makes sense to buy players? I think the core of this roster is set and next year we will be a contender. I would only buy if there's some term (and spent the assets to do it). 2. Theme week related, which team or which player has been your biggest rival in VHL to this day? Definitely Tui Sova/Mac Atlas due to joining back the same time. 3. As of this moment, Weaver is sitting 5th league wide in shots made. Do you think he can hit 450 shots this season? Yes, no reason why he would not. As long as he keeps getting as open as he does 4. Sadie as the rookie leader in points after 72 games - yay or nay? I picked her for RoY so I have to say Yay! 5. Do you think rookies having tougher time to score a lot in hybrid era? I think relative to rookies it makes a lot of sense to be like this. Pre-hybrid we had rookies amongst the top 10. 6. Are you happy Chiefs won? Indifferent - more upset about the game ending penalty ruining a great match.

Makes sense! Nothing wrong with that - maybe a drop shadow instead of a yellow stroke then.

Review Really love the creativity and effort that was put into that sig. The thing that stands the most out to be is the jersey changes. The perspective of the logo was altered very nicely and it was col to see you use the Mexico flag on the shoulder patches + whichever logo you have for the upper crest in the white jersey. I love the filter effect you have on there that adds sharpness and contrast, and the logo you have made up for the VHLM All Star. This is an overall great graphic, but I feel the text should be a little more shiny and less comic book-ish. It kind of takes away the authentic look to the graphic to have the text slapped on there. That's probably my only complaint though, I do like the transitions you have between renders as well. 9/10

Dies for the scan lines... My favorite part of this sig if the text and it's blurred overlay effect you have going there. Definitely a great choice to use light blue and white as its a good contrast. The shade of blue across the entire sig is very clean. Overall the sig is blended very well with not too much going on outside of a background and stock textures. It would have been nice to see the logo blended in a bit better instead of just stamped on as it kind of takes away from the focal point of the render. Nice little detail to make the jersey change on the collar - 9.5/10

1. We currently have the least GA in the league , what’s been key to our teams strong defensive play this season so far ? Just overall commitment by the whole roster. Working as a 5 man unit in the defensive zone instead of worrying about the defensemen. 2. Oslo is currently in talks with the city council and mayor to open a new arena , what should they name it ? The Big O 3. Team Captain Brodie Landry has been recruited to act as a brand ambassador for a new energy drink company in Norway , is this a possible hint to an acting career after he retires eventually? No but I'm sure he'd have a great representation as a sports commentator later on. 4. What is one thing that is a must have in our locker room that we currently do not have ? A gatorade vending machine. 5. at around the 1/3 mark of the season who is your early pick for team MVP ? I really like the defensive play we've been getting form McFleury - likely him. 6. @JB123is talking about implementing a new practice schedule for the team what would you like to see as practice times ? As early as possible, I like to take advantage of the day.

Review I love the creativity on this one with the giant text utilizing the whole graphic area. The JC is nice and I really like the "shiny" effect on the helmet, whether that was intentional or not. The placement is perfect overall and the background you chose works so well with the rest of the sig. What stops this form being a 10 for me, is its missing some lighting/shadows for blending. Maybe a couple more texture or lighting stocks would have helped blended this. Also would have preferred Drop Shadow instead of Glow for the LEANDRO text. Honestly though, this is one of the more creative sigs I've seen on here and also one of my favorites. Good job. 9.25/10
