  1. Review Really big fan of the red overlay that brings the background and the render together (and kind of makes the sig). The abstract background is nice, with just enough blur to make it not so busy. For such a gradient of colors used, it came together nicely and makes this sig so unique and creative. What really does it for me is the filter used on the render (Topaz?), it just works so well. The lighting is is also a nice touch. I like the text placement but think the font for DAVOS DYNAMO should be a bit different, or a little smaller. Just my opinion though. 9.25/10
  2. 1. We’re 7-1 at the time of writing this press conference what’s been an early key to our success? We have a high end team on paper and this is the result of clicking right from the start. A good sign for the rest of the season. 2. who has surprised you the most early this season ? Jax has stepped in and kept is great pace up after leading the VHLM rookies and the Junior Showcase. 3. @JB123 was seen looking at reconfiguring the menu in the arena cafeteria, what’s a must have to put on the new menu ? I'm a morning person so a breakfast sandwich would be a must for me. 4. Our next home game is bobble head night , what players do you think would have popular bobble heads ? Gotta go with Oreo McFleury with that ice cream themed bobblehead. 5. are you superstitious? If so What’s one superstition you have in your pre game routine? No eating carbs within 4 hours before (it gives me stiches). 6. How are you battling the cold in Oslo this winter ? By staying inside
  3. Review It's pretty big and takes up my entire laptop screen but overall this is a really nice graphic. The background blends really well with the jersey and Helsinki colors. The logo swap is done very nicely, and its nice to see that extra bit of effort with the white VHL logo on the collar. The most underrated part of this sig is the text and that inner glow/overlay you have where its brighter inside the letters. It's also placed nicely across the render. It would have been nice to see a soft brush erase on that snowflake texture so it could blend in with the background a bit more. Some lighting would have really helped too - however, that is minor and I'm a fan of this sig. This is my first rating for you so I'll benchmark it at 7.75/10.
  4. I really don't have anything to complain about this graphic - maybe the sizing and placement of the second render looks awkward? I don't know, but that's it for the constructive criticism. I really like the lighting/texture you have on the render (specifically the purple) and really the rest of the sig. It makes everything blend so together so well. The jersey change is done so well - even the perspective change of the VHL logo on the collar. I love how you have the text and the color on it to match the jersey trim, just looks so nice in that spot. Overall this sig comes together so well and I will give this a 10/10.
  5. 1. what are your thoughts on ''clicker players'' struggling to get signed by any VHL team? I feel like its good to have some sort of reason to do PTs to play in the league. It makes me wonder if the E should have some sort of "rights draft" where people above the limit can play. 2. do you agree with this decision by commishes to tackle the clickers current problem? I feel like this should be a question for hedge the GM to answer. If all clickers play and it flushed out IAs then yes I like it. 3. do you think the VHL season will have the most parity we've ever seen? There's no way its more parity than S1 so no. 4. however, can the next season become even more parity based considering no one will be auto retired after this season? I think with the 9 year thing you will see more parity, its much better though and will probably make the market a bit better. 5. are you happy with the VHFL team you have now? VHFL is a dart throw in my opinion so no real emotions towards it. 6. is mid season the most boring part of the season? cause I think it is I feel like the season goes quick enough that it doesn't drag out... the offseason is a different story.
  6. Jimi Jax - Rookie Experience Third Overall. Not something that anyone from Grand Falls, Arizona would foresee for one of their former residents. The highest pick from an Arizona kid in the VHL draft – and the highest pick Jimi Jax himself has ever been taken in draft of his career. Years of hard work after coming out of nowhere has finally paid off – and Jax is ready to show the league that he’s ready to live up the hype of a high-end draft pick. All his life, Jimi has felt the pressure of being so close to falling out of the spotlight being green to the hockey world. When the pressure ramped up in those situations, he always managed to fight through and become a better version of himself. For Jax, meeting expectations was the easy part, and exceeding them is what made him so great. This time around at third overall, meeting expectations will be a tough task and exceeding them will be even harder. It’s a different type of pressure for the young phenom, but he's ready to show the league why he belongs amongst the best of the best prospects. On the pressure of the expectations of a top 3 pick: “I don’t really feel any pressure at all – I feel fortunate to be where I am right now. I’ve worked extremely hard to get here and I’m still not done.” All the talk regarding Jax leading up to the draft was where he was going to play in his D+1 season. The VHL is introducing 9 year careers and he has a prime opportunity to take advantage of the extended stay. The VHLE – a relatively new league – also offers opportunity to tune the skills and have a much stronger rookie season. Jax was mum about it leading up to the draft, but hinted that the decision will be based on the team’s intention in S87. He has fell in drafts before and ended up on strong teams - but with the Toronto Legion is in tank mode, he intends to start the season with in the VHLE with the Oslo Storm. In Oslo, he joins fellow USA linemate Oreo McFleury with a strong team that will expect contend for the season. “I think it’s the right choice for me and where I am. I’ve heard good things about the Euro-league and I should be a great experience for me. It will be nice to be on a team with high expectations that will help me fine-tune some of the areas I’d like to work on, specifically defense”. It’s no secret that the Legion are eying another top pick in the following draft loaded with defensive starts. Jax won’t admit it, but he’s looking forward to seeing his VHL squad build a solid foundation to be dominant in the near future. With a year in the E – he’s on his way to exceeding expectations just one more time.

  8. Giving this one a 10/10 as it has everything you'd wan tin a sig. Great textures, great lighting, perfect jersey change and just the right amount of color to go with it. I really like the contrast in the first name and last name and somehow you made it look great despite being on different angles. I honestly think this is my favorite from you. If I were to find anything wrong with it I would maybe not make the ANALFIST text so matte looking. Awesome job.
  9. Review Really good jersey change here and you have the lighting to go with it again. Lots of creativity using the double render for both of your awards. You have the text placed nicely and the coloring works well with the Warsaw color theme. I'm definitely a big fan of your lighting effects and you're improving a lot over the past couple weeks. I would start playing around with the text a bit more now, blend it in a bit with the lighting instead of having it as a front layer with a stroke effect. I would also. Cheers! 8.5/10
  10. 1. Skor McFleury baby! how excited were you when finding out our pick? Pretty excited as he was the perfect fit for the team and this core going forward. 2. but also Stefan Norris, Braeden Panarella, Mclean Hoover II and Troy Conlon baby! Do you think all of them can become steals down the road? I played with Panarella in the VHLM and he was lights out - I believe he's going to be the steal of the draft and part of Riga's future. Ive heard good things about Stefan Norris as well - I'll have to do a bit more research on McLean. 3. Tavish DeGroot baby! how surprising this signing was for you? Very surprised but happy to have a well known member of the community in the LR. 4. How much wins can we get this season? I think this is will be a surprising season for Riga in a good way. I think over .500. 5. If Riga for some reason won't win the cup, who are you rooting for? Riga or bust. 6. who wins the superbowl in your opinion? If the Bengals play like they did against the Bills then I think they're the favorite. I'm cheering for the Niners though.

  12. (this is boring and I would suggest not reading unless you’re an updater lol) Jimi Jax - The Bio Birthplace Grand Falls, AZ, U.S.A. Position Center The Start Growing up in Arizona, hockey isn’t always the first choice for a 6-year-old kid. Most are outside playing baseball or inside playing basketball – with little advertisement for the only contact sport played on ice. Jimi Jax doesn’t fall under the category of those kids – in fact, hockey was the only sport he experienced as a young kid. Shortly after he started kindergarten, his parents invested in a sports bar – a place Jax liked to visit often when allowed. Weekdays after school would be the only time his parents would let Jax hang out at the bar growing up – which happened to be prime time for VHL games to get released. From the get-go, Jax fell in love with the sport of hockey and that’s where his dream of being a VHL player started. The Discovery The hockey program in Grand Falls was not as prominent was the ones you would find in the northern U.S. There weren’t many and the closest one to the Jax family was a 40-minute drive. Jax parents knew his interest was genuine and decided to promise to take him to at least 5 skates to see if he would like to play. They expected all 5 to be strictly learning to skate – and of course 100% the first two were. The third one – however, was the first time the coach let him hold a hockey stick as his skating level improved. On the 4th and 5th skate – Jax was carrying the puck up the ice and joining the group of players that were at least on their second year. The quick learning and love for the game left Jax parents with no choice but to register him in for the entire year. They would take turns driving him to hockey – still 40 minutes away – but knew that the early level skill he developed could turn into something much more. Jax was dominating his level and was moved up with he U10s for an even playfield. He still led in scoring during the group scrimmage matches with at least 5 goals a game. It wasn’t unusual to see a player dominate their age group around this area – but it was extremely rare to see a player become the best in a higher age group. Over a year and a half – the self-taught development turned into a legitimate talent that had scouts within the USNDTP stopping in town to see the phenom. The Rise By age 10, the signs were there that Jax was going to turn into something great and was invited to the U13 US developmental camp. Coming out of nowhere, he was not considered a high-end recruit at the time and normally played on the 4th line in scrimmages. It wasn’t until an intra-squad game halfway through the year where he went toe-to-toe with the top recruit (Oreo McFleury) in the nation, sharing 4 goals a piece – the only difference was that he only played 10 minutes to McFleury’s 20. As the games went on after that throughout the season – Jax would make his way all the way up the lineup. In the first 20 games – Jax registered 5 goals and 2 assists logging an average of 8 minutes of ice time. The following 20 – 10 goals and 15 assists. It was the tail end of this season that Jax put his name on the national map – and the VHL was in his future.Jax dominated the U13s for another season after that – he, along with the McFleury triplets, were known to be the best in the country – up until Mac Atlas crashed down into the earth,or however he became a player. Once the U16 age group started to take form – scouts within the VHL started to show up to see “five of the top 10 players in the S87 draft class”. Jax spent the majority of his U16 career playing 2nd line center to McFleury with the UNSTPD National Team. The both tallied 100+ point seasons within their intra-league and intra-squad games over the course of a 2-year 60 game period. The U18 years was where Jax really established himself as an elite prospect – sharing minutes as the top line center and crushing the 2-year record with 297 points – 170 of them goals. In addition to the strong performance offensively – Jax was also heavily relied on defensively and established a strong two-way game. When asked about the type of player he envisioned himself as – he thinks of Scott Boulet, a strong two-way player who has his own trophy. The Draft The everyday life of Jax involves playing hockey, training for hockey – and talking about hockey – mostly with recruiters and scouts across different hockey leagues. Regardless of who spoke to him – he has his eyes set for the VHL. Jax is overwhelmed with the attention he’s getting from teams – and was hearing rumors of becoming a Top 3 Pick.

  14. Nice job. You are really starting to put the skills together for the graphics. You have a very very good jersey change with the Warsaw > Oilers and then different types of layers. Layers used for lighting, texture and what seems to be detail on the bottom there. The text is placed nicely and a perfect size in comparison to the render. It would be nice to see some additional overlay/gradiant layers to kind of make everything come together as each layer seems to be doing its own thing. Still a lot better from the last sig I reviewed so great job! 8/10
  15. Very well blended and very unique when it comes to having only an outline showing as the render. My favorite types of sigs are ones that have a multiple range of colors (almost like rainbow) and still works well with the render colors. This is the perfect example of those types of sigs. The text placement is perfect too and its not too crazy as there's already a lot going on in the rest of the graphic. The extra white lighting is also just enough to make the render the focal point. This one gets a 10/10 from me.
