JON SNOW EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW Pierre McGuire - "Jonny Boi! Mind if I call you that?" Snow - "Absolutely I do mind, don't call me that." Pierre - "We'll see... So big draft coming up, eh?" Snow - "Very observant you are Pierre! Congrats for that!" Pierre - "Well tell me, where do you expect to be taken in the draft and how do you think you'll fit in? Snow - "Honestly, I'll be happy anywhere, I just want to show my value, and help lead a team to glory. I'm hoping as I come into the league I can start displaying some of my talents and begin to gain comfortability in the league. To answer your question, I'd say maybe 10th, I'd be a little surprised about going in the first but maybe the last pick in the first would be generous for me! I think I'd fit in well with Calgary and I think a spot with them would almost force me into a major role which I'm excited about. Like I said though, I'm just happy to be sought after." Pierre - "Great to hear, I'm sure your gonna be a great kid and a talent to have around! Your a strapping young man who's very physically fit i might say, good on you." Snow - "Alright Pierre, calm down." Pierre - "Glad we could talk, and good luck with the draft!" Snow - " Thanks I appreciate it, I'll see you around." Pierre - "I hope so..." Snow - "......"

Claimed: Mock Draft From The Perspective of A New Comer
ChiefNoka4 replied to ChiefNoka4's topic in Archived Media Spots
Thanks for backing me but honestly I had no clue! I saw in another mock someone mentioned him having multiple players and I guess I just went with second my bad! -
Here's what I know about the VHL... not much, but I'm gonna try and do a little analysis on the draft options and teams. I can't speak directly about GM's personalities or users habits but I'm gonna use analytics to try and figure out who's going where! Bare in mind, I know nothing. S54 Mock Draft! Round 1 1. Toronto Legion Markus King - @Kendrick Now it seems like Toronto has a lot of gaps to fill. That being said, they've got very poor goal tending. Poor guy almost had a 4 GAA. Yikes. Markus King could be the answer. He is the top of the draft class for a reason and saved 1006 shots in 72 games. Can't really complain about that. 2. Davos Dynamo Fook Yu - @tfong Being a fellow Lynx teammate, I can see this guy knows his way around the VHL and seems to be a real active contributor to things. As for why he fits in with the Dynamo, they need offense, he produces. Period. 3. Helsinki Titans Shawn Gretzky - @TheLastOlympian07 Looking for some help up the middle? Gretzky could be the answer. Possibly a bit of a reach but the Titans could use a player like Gretzky to make them a top contending team. Boasting a solid face off stat, Gretzky will almost certainly make an impact wherever he lands. 4. Riga Reign Torstein Ironside - @DollarAndADream Holy moly what a goalie! This guy is going to help Reign in more ways than 1. Being in the rebuild situation they are in, Torstein is going to be an instant boost. Hopefully this can help introduce some new offense with the enticing option to play in front of this solid tender. 5. Quebec City Meute Rudolph Shmeckeldorph @Corco Corco seems like a real invested user here and has a decent role among the community. That all being said, I think Rudolph will fit in well with QC's lineup and Corco will show that he is willing to put in the work, considering he has done it before. 6. Stockholm Vikings Hudson Abbott - @Bushito Another Lynx who I think personally, is to far down this list. Honestly, after reading some other mock drafts and different things about users blah blah blah, there is probably no way this guy should go here (should be higher). BUT, I actually think he'd make a good fit based on what the Vikings are up to. He'll help stack the D and I think this is a good place for him to go to continue as a superstar, but what do i know, they seem like they need a forward.... maybe trade? 7. Helsinki Titans Aleksei Federov - @Banackock One of the top defensemen in the VHLM Federov is a solid choice to go with Helsinki. After padding there forwards with Gretzky, they can use this second first round pick to go with someone that will help their defensive core. This is one of the players where I wish I knew a bit about the user behind him but... I don't, so I hope he's putting in the effort! 8. Quebec City Meute Pablo - @Pablo Trying to add, well anything, to the lineup. Pablo has been all over the VHLM and also another Lynx! He's been a solid contributor and as a second player for the user. Pablo seems to be committed to this player which would help QC greatly! 9. New York Americans Vernon Reinholdt - @Devise Its his own player. I'd draft myself, why wouldn't he? 10. Calgary Wranglers Takashi Fujimoto - @HFD A solid scorer and someone that can put the puck in the net is what this team really needs. Along with almost every other position. However, Fujimoto is a start in the right direction and able to get goals which is essentially how you win hockey games. I mean literally, if you don't score, you can't win. Alright that's the mock draft from someone who really doesn't know what goes on behind the scenes of the VHL, but I wanted to get in on all this draft hype! Kept it short and short. Also, I didn't include my own player, Jon Snow, because I'm trying to seem modest Really though, any team should take Jon Snow because dudes destined for greatness! To any GM out there that reads this, Jon Snow is prepared to put the work in and become one of the greats in the VHL! WINTER IS COMING! The End

Big game for Jon Snow!

Jon Snow, The New Man In Ottawa Jon Snow joined the VHLM with the Ottawa Lynx 23 games ago. He has held his own in the league so far being one of the weaker members on the team. His first game played was against Oslo and he played 24 minutes of ice time and delivered a big hit to send a message to the league, Jon Snow is here. After 23 games, Snow hasn't made a massive impact on his current squad, but he does play significant amounts of ice-time and is starting to play more aggressively than was expected. Snow seems a tad uncomfortable with his new team but this is to be expected with any new player that decides to make the jump to a professional league. On The Board Jon's point totals have been, lackluster. He himself considers his performances, bland. That being said, it's hard to come into the league from such a remote area and be the small fish in the big pond. He was always used to being the leader, where now he needs to learn to lead again. 5 points in 23 games, all of them being assists, is what Snow has contributed to his team. He only averages one shot per game which isn't something Snow is used to. Based on those numbers alone it is clear he still has work he needs to get done. Continuously he is practicing his shot and puck control and wants to make sure he has these things ready for the crunch time games. He continues to train hard, but knows he needs to contribute a bit more if he wants to continue to excel in this league and one day make it to the VHL. Looking Forward Snow is continuously training hard. He knows what he needs to do to become a great leader again, but it all comes down to actually doing it. He trains vigorously, practicing every chance he gets and continues to grow in the more defensive aspects of his game. That is his positive right now, he is playing solid defensively. He has had a few hickups, but is a plus 10 in his career right now. He is also becoming an aggressive player, 41 hits in 23 games. He is learning from his D partner Hudson Abbott who is doing exceptionally well this season and hopes to continue to gain experience by his side. Everyone on the team has been extremely helpful towards Snow and he is really enjoying his time here in Ottawa. He is eyeing towards next season and hoping he can continue to make his mark and start to become that impact player he used to be in Alaska.
