They aren't called Assistant captains in the NHL. They are alternate captains in place of the captain if he is in the box, injured or suspended. If they assisted, then you'd see 6 players talking to a ref by the penalty box after an important penalty call, bitch.

Setting him up for a log jam will not help his activity, or anyones for that matter. I get we don't want to steer people away from a position they want, but in this case setting someone up for a position that is crammed, is not ideal.

Yeah people trade assets before they see them all the time. It's just the nature of career paths. The guy you were traded with is well into his career so the pieces going the other way somewhat balance out what goes to Davos. Don't worry you still are on the same VHLM team but this way you can ask as many questions in the Davos LR as possible.
