I get that, it's just a logjam at center with that signing. They got Henrik, Gagner, Gaunce, Horvat, Burmistrov and Granlund, Molino and Sutter. Given that Molino looks like he a good 4th line player, it bumps some of those guys to the wings. That being said it would be good for the Canucks to have these pieces so they can let their player groom in the AHL.

Colin Wilson to the Avs in a trade Steve Mason to WIN Girardi to TB Hunwick to the Pens (notable because apparently he had 4-5 teams talking to him) Brain Boyle to the Devils Trevor Daley to the Red Wings Kulikov to the Jets

I think Duchene is being overvalued by Sakic. Sell him off now and you get assets, sell him off in the future and gM's will lowball you because they know he isn't happy. Also, it looks like the Marleau offering was 2 years from SJ. Brian Elliott will sign in Philly tomorrow, which sucks for...well Philly haha.

Marleau will be with the Sens. Joe and Marleau going to a young team would be kind of fun to watch. They could be the perfect veteran 2nd line

Just for the record Leon Draisaitl & Patrick Maroon were Connor McDavid's linemates for 41.28% of the times he was out there. That is the largest percentage of teammates he had one the ice with him all of last season. I am not saying Draisaitl is a bad player (I love him) but I am saying that a lot of his points came from McDavid's goals. So you do have to be a GM in that situation and say that in negotiations, he gained a lot of points by being McDavid's linemate.

Even my Devils are worse than the Canucks. The Devils literally have maybe 3 prospects worth talking about and sadly one of them is in goal, which are set for the next 5-6 seasons as least. I think he is worth more than 6.5 as well, but knowing they don't have to offer him a huge contract to get him might entice a team more. I don't think Canucks are in a position to offer any player a large contract offer sheet. However their drafting is pretty bad, they might be best to do it haha

Canucks aren't the worst team in the NHL, the Avs are and thats not even debatable. Teams won't offer him 10 Million+, I see the most being a 6.5 Million dollar deal. He was a product of McDavid a bit this season.

Rumours swirling that if the Oilers offer McDavid 13.25 per season, teams will send offer sheets Draisaitl's way. That's smart
