I hope you find a step-back in responsibility reignites the spark that brought you here in the first place. (Credit and 1 uncapped TPE to @Mr_Hatter) For the longest time, Jason White's 107 points in S29 was the unwanted record of lowest-scoring top scorer. Then we fell beyond 100 points for the first time in S69 as the dead puck era gathered speed and in S71 HHH and Ambrose Stark shared the dubious honour of leading the league with just 88 points. (Credit and 1 uncapped TPE to @animal74) Calgary has had its fair share of big hitters over the years and current Boulet-winning stalwart Mikko Lahtinen spent the first half of his career with the Wranglers, but we have to go all the way back to Calgary's last cup-winning season, S62 , to find a Wrangler leading the league in hits. In the insanely scoring season, with the likes of Jasper Canmore, Keaton Louth, and Mats Johnsson leading the way for Calgary in that regard, the less heralded Niko Bogdanovic led the VHL with 330 hits, narrowly beating out Hall of Famer Gabriel McAllister. 1. How many career points did Johannes Vihjalmsson have? (Credit and 1 uncapped TPE to @Matt_O) I have no idea why this was submitted as a question whenever it was that Matt submitted it, but it'll do I guess. Pretty easy to find by searching for the player name on the portal - notably, despite only having 294 TPE, this one of the Vihjalmsson brothers won 2 Continental Cups, with Calgary in S62 and then Toronto in S65. 2. Which VHL goalie posted the best save% in a single season? (Credit and 1 uncapped TPE to @Jtv123) 3 options on the list were pretty well known - Aidan Shaw, for a long time considered the best goalie of all time and the namesake of the top goalie trophy, Greg Clegane, who has the GAA trophy and was the first goalie in 40 seasons to hit the .940 save % mark in S51, and his brother Sandro who set the single season shutout record in the same season. But the correct answer is the least well known option - Anton Nygard, the only goalie in history with two .940+ save % seasons but without a trophy or a Hall of Fame entry to his name. Spending most of his career on Vasteras, he was the GM player of Vasteras' founder Lucas Tannahill and stuck around for a rough rebuild in S9, which is when he posted the untouchable mark of .949 as an elite goalie behind a terrible team in a high-scoring era. He spent half of S10 on a still rebuilding Vasteras which is how he got another .940 season under his belt.
