  1. VANCOUVER - It's been a month or so since Ryuu Crimson signed with the Vancouver Canucks. The former Victory Hockey League player was sent down to the Utica Comets after he was signed, where he had done well, gaining 6 goals and 7 assists in 11 games. So, the Canucks decided to call him up with the injury of Micheal Ferland. He will be playing in the next game for the Canucks. "Yeah, I'm excited," Ryuu said during a press conference. "I mean, this is the National Hockey League we're talking about me playing in. While I have played in the Victory Hockey League, it's still nerve-wracking to me that I am going to be playing in the NHL. I hope I haven't grown rusty and that I can still compete even in a new league." Ryuu Crimson did well in his VHL career, becoming the first and the only rookie to ever win the Daisuke Kanou as the Playoff MVP. We'll see if he is able to use some of his experience from his glory days with the Reign and Dynamo in the NHL. Maybe he will become a star? Only time will tell.
  2. I am aware that I won't get the bonus tpe lol this just seemed like a good topic
  3. SASKATOON - The regular season has come to the end for the Saskatoon Wild. It has been an amazing season, as the Wild finished the season with an amazing record of 68 wins and only 4 losses. They had a goal difference of 275 and were easily the most dominant team in the Victory Hockey League Minors this season. Now, I could tell you stories about Danny DeYeeto crushing opponents or slamming the puck home, or the silky smooth Edwin THE Encarnacion (who I swear is familiar for some reason) dominating the ice, or even about Ondrej Ohradka making goalies look like swiss cheese every night. I could tell you about Jacques Lafontaine and his cat-like reflexes (though he needs to stop taking naps during games) or David OQuinn showing that he is worthy of being the VHLM first overall pick, or just talk about the amazing season the Wild had (wait, already did that). But today, I’ll talk about someone who I think is a very underrated player in the VHLM. Damien Wolfe. I was going to write about Killy Foilen because it seemed like not many people talked about him, however, I ruled him out because that same logic could be applied to Jesse Nyman, Dagmar Havlova, or Edu Stava. Honestly, Killy and the other players I just mentioned aren’t even unsung heroes. They have proven themselves to be some of the best forwards in the league. So, Damien Wolfe. He is a solid player. While he might not be boasting huge numbers or anything like that, Wolfe is a player you can count on. He has had 16 goals and 30 assists this season (which add up to a total of 46 points), proving that he has offensive capabilities. Damien Wolfe had a plus-minus of 48 and was very disciplined with only 16 penalty minutes. Even though he might not have huge point totals or goal totals this season compared to other players for the Wild, he has shown that he has potential and that he is a good player. Keep in mind that he is also a rookie, fresh in the Victory Hockey League system. Other guys like DeYeeto, Stava, and Nyman have had some experience here in the VHLM but Wolfe is fresh out of...whatever league he came from. He, Edwin THE Encarnacion, and Mikko Lahtinen are probably the top 3 rookies for the Wild in terms of skaters. While he may not have stats as grand as his teammates, Damien Wolfe definitely has the potential to do well in the big leagues. Even if he does end up playing in the Minors for one more season, he’ll probably continue to do well. He might not be the best or most talented player in your team but he works damn hard when he plays. If you ever need a solid player on your team, Damien is your guy. That’s my take on Saskatoon’s unsung hero, Damien Wolfe. Good luck to him and the Wild as they enter the playoffs in a couple of days. @Laflamme

  10. Thank you for the kind words! I'll be sure to dominate this season and the next, and the next, and the next, and the next, and the next, and the next...
  11. 1. Which stick brand do you use and why? 2. The Saskatoon Wild have been very dominant. Why do you think they have been so good? 3. What are your goals for your career? 4. Why did you decide to play in the VHLM instead of in the KHL or etc.? 5. If you could play in any league outside of the VHL or VHLM, which league would you play in? 6. Which team will be the next to clinch a playoff spot? 7. What is your jersey number and why? 8. If you could choose another position to play, which position and why? 9. What player(s) do you look up to? 10. Black tape or white tape? Why?

  13. I am very confident that Danny DeYeeto will take home the MVP in the VHLM because of his dominance in point scoring and goal scoring despite the fact he is a defenseman. He also plays well defensively and has been a big part of the Wild's dominance this season. A fact about me as a member, eh? I personally didn't like working for VSN. It started off as a good and fun way to get TPE but then we had editors and it took forever for them to approve my media spots so it slowed down my TPE production. The 12 days of Christmas is a good event and honestly I appreciate the holiday gifts.
  14. VANCOUVER - Ryuu Crimson has signed with the Vancouver Canucks with a 2 year, $1,000,000 contract. That would give him about $500,000 per year. While he won't play in the big leagues just yet, having been sent down to the Utica Comets of the American Hockey League to see what he can do, he is excited for this new opportunity. "I thought it would be cool to play in the National Hockey League when I was younger. I did end up playing in the Victory Hockey League though and I had a fun time. Still, I can't wait to see what I can do with this new chance and I hope I can make an impact." The former VHL playoff MVP has already been playing with the San Diego Gulls. He seems to be playing well, having 2 goal and 2 assists in 4 games with the Gulls this season. Best of luck to Ryuu, I think I speak for all of us when I say we can't wait to see what he can do. (Edit: Whoops! This should be a VHL.com Article. If anybody can, could you move this to that section?)
  15. SASKATOON - Nobody saw it coming. The Saskatoon Wild were flying high as they were on a 50 game win streak. There were a bunch of reasons they should've won. But despite all of the odds, the first-place, playoff-clinching, record setting Saskatoon Wild, lost to the city where the National Hockey League's Wild resides, Minnesota. The Mississauga Hounds beat Saskatoon 4-3, ending a 50 game win streak that the Wild were on. They were the first team to beat the Saskatoon Wild since the Mexico City Kings did it earlier in the season, winning 4-2. "I didn't play well. I let bad goals in and couldn't seem to stop anything," said Jacques Lafontaine after the game. While the Saskatoon have won all of their games ever since that loss, Jacques says he still thinks back to it when it comes to his performance. "I feel like it was a wake-up call for me and other players. That loss stung and it reminded us that we are still human, that we can still lose. It reminded me that I gotta keep working hard to get better and better until I am the best I can be. I have to play harder." Before that, star goalie Jimmy Spyro and the Mississauga Hounds were the closest team to beating them, as the Saskatoon Wild won thanks to a shootout. Spyro has arguably been the second best goalie in the league as he has 45 wins, good enough for 2nd place in the league on the list for goalies with the top 10 wins. He also has a stellar GAA of 1.97, good enough for second in the league (for players who have played at least 2 or more games) and has proven to be solid for the Hounds night after night. But despite that loss, the Wild aren't planning on removing their foot off the gas pedal. Far from it. "We were going to lose eventually. Not like we should be that surprised that we lost one game. Sure, we lost but it's not like we're going to be in a slump. It's just one loss. We've lost before. We've still won a whole bunch," he replied during the same conference. "We just gotta pick ourselves up off the ground and get right back to winning. I mean, what else are we going to do?" The Wild have done well so far since that loss, winning all of their games since then. Everybody seems to be back in shape, even more motivated to win. If they want to beat the Calgary Wrangler's record (even though they are a Victory Hockey League team and the Wild are a Victory Hockey League Minors), they'll have to win the rest of their games. "I know we'll pull it off. Though, the whole record thing isn't our focus right now. Our focus is continuing to play our game." You'll be able to see if they can continue to follow through on Jacques' promise next game, where the Saskatoon Wild will go against the Mexico City Kings. Best of luck to them.
  16. Merry Christmas!
  17. Might have missed the first but that's okay! Happy holidays to all!
  18. 1. Feels great! Now we just gotta focus on dominating. 2. Our chances are around 100%. 3. Yukon. imo they haven't done much. 4. Most wins. Or maybe most points. 5. Monahan is doing better now. Lucic has more goals per game than Neal this month. And is anybody else really liking Dube? (Also, the Wings be on an 11-game losing streak, lmao) 6. Nothing really. Just can't wait for the Christmas Parties. So much good food.
  19. SASKATOON - The Saskatoon Wild are off to a historic season and it gets better as they have already clinched a playoff spot in only 45 games. It was no surprise that they would make it, even at the beginning of the season, but nobody knew they would be this dominant. They have a record of 46-1-0 and have a league-leading goal differential of +184. “I mean, it’s great and all but we still gotta focus on winning. Can’t exactly drop dead in front of the fans just because we made the playoffs. But regardless, this is great for us and we’re excited to see what we can do this season,” Jacques said during a press conference after the Wild beat the Minnesota Storm 5-4, one of the closest chances any team had to beat the Wild. The Wild have been very dominant and probably will continue to be dominant. We can’t wait to see what they can accomplish this season! Go Wild Go! #YearOfTheWild
  20. SASKATOON - The World Junior Championships are coming up soon. The time for the world’s best young players to faceoff in epic battles while representing their country. Wild goaltender Jacques Lafontaine was among the few players who were selected to represent our wonderful country in this season’s World Juniors. He will be playing the backup goalie behind Fang Flashback, Calgary’s young netminder. “It’s an honor to be selected to represent Canada in the World Junior Championships. It’s always amazing to represent your home country, especially in big tournaments like this one. Even though I’m a backup, I hope I can help my team out and make saves when I need to. We have a strong roster and we’ll do well. Fang is a great goalie and I know he’ll be good for us.” The Wild goalie will also be joined by current Wild players Damien Wolfe, Kristopher McDagg and David OQuinn. Saskatoon fans also have one more name to cheer for in RJ Jubis, who is in the VHL with the Calgary Wranglers. “Yeah, it’ll be nice to see some familiar faces as we play. Wolfe, Dagger [McDagg], and Quinny [OQuinn] are all great players and it’s good to know I have a few players I know. It’ll also be fun to meet the other players and get to know one another. Most of these guys I only see when we’re going head-to-head, so it’ll be cool to play with them and get to know them. It’ll also be weird to go against some of my teammates on the Wild but I’ll get used to it. I hope they don’t have any hard feelings after the tournament when we kick their asses.” The Saskatoon goalie has proven himself to be a presence in the net as he has the most wins and is high on the top 10 list in other positive goalie stats. However, that can be attributed to the fact he is playing for the most dominating team in the VHLM right now. If it’s the most dominating team in the history of the league is a debatable topic. So there was quite a bit of questioning about if he was going to be selected as the backup goalie. “Yeah, honestly, I thought they’d choose Spyro or something,” Jacques admitted during a press conference that happened right after the news of his selection was released. “Spyro is a real damn good goalie. I’ll admit it, he’s a more experienced and smarter goalie. If it wasn’t me, I’d probably choose him as the backup goalie for Team Canada. He’s a real good player. So I couldn’t believe it when I received the news that I was selected for the Junior team.” Despite that, he says he will play his absolute hardest for the team. He says his job as a backup is making saves and that is exactly what he plans to do. “Again, I’m representing my home country and that is really special. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity so I’d better not waste it. Especially with the entirety of Canada, no, the world watching us.”
  21. 1. Who wins Gold? World 2. Who wins Silver? Canada 3. Who wins Bronze? USA 4. What player will be named tournament MVP? Steve Roadkill
  22. 1. Yup! Everybody is already getting ready for Christmas! I haven't really worried about anything tbh. 2. Hockey FTW! 3. Orr, no question. He is the best defenseman in NHL history. 4. Miracle, but then again I haven't watched that many other hockey movies. 5. Not sure. But Malmo to Vasteras sounds good lol. I was confused when they gave a team to Malmo instead of Vasteras and I feel like the latter would make more sense. And also, my boi Mikael Backlund was born there. 6. Prediction: We gonna win the cup!
