In game 70 of the S44 regular season in the VHL, the rebuilding Reign and Titans faced off. It was a game exploding with offense led by captain Bronson Faux of the Riga Reign who tallied 3 goals and 2 assists. This marks Faux's first career hattrick as a sophomore in the league and easily his best game in his career to date. His 5 points is a first as well and to top it all off he had 7 hits and over 60% on the draw making him easily the choice for the 1st star. It went into a shootout and Faux even scored the first goal in that as well but it wasn't until Ackerman scored and sealed up the win for the team, the first in awhile.
"It was a team effort. I wouldn't have put up those points if it wasn't for the guys on my line, so they deserve as much credit as I do. I'm just happy we're playing well together, it's not going to happen like that every night but every once and awhile is a big boost to the confidence and hopefully I can keep my play up."
