  1. Player Name: Girts GalvinsPlayer Render: Jesse PuljujarviTeam: Warsaw Predators
  2. Girts Galvins and the Defending Champion Warsaw Predators are 1st in the European Conference through 21 games and are looking very capable of going back to back. With a record of 14-5-2 they are ahead of everyone else in the conference and are looking once again like the team to beat. Their record on the road stands out at 7-1-2 showing they can go into any building in the league and come away with a win, which is obviously important when playoffs come around again. GM Dakota Lamb had this to say about Warsaw's start to the season coming off their championship.. "Look we finished last season as the best team in the league and we started this season as the best team in the league, whatever way you want to look at it, we're the best and we will be the best until someone beats us in the playoffs, which right now looks like it's going to be very tough for anyone to do. We haven't missed a beat since our cup run and I love the way the team is playing right now, especially that Latvian beauty Girts Galvins." Great quote from Champion GM Dakota Lamb as it's evident he's very confident in his group this season. No question Warsaw has been impressive through 21 games and will look to continue their strong play for the remainder of the season. No word yet on if they'll let Moscow pass them again like they did last season just to toy with their emotions and shatter their dreams in the playoffs, but we wouldn't count it out.
  3. 1. We rule, again. Best team in the league right now. 2. Meatlovers pizza, the more meats the better + onions. 3. My player relieves stress by getting stress relieving massages from the female trainer after the game. 4. I take the team to an all you can eat buffet. 5. We are the Champions by Queen, because we are the fucking champions! 6. Looking fwd to seeing the new faces in new places and how the lines look in pre-season. Also what rookies make the teams.
  4. 1. We improved the most because we have so many players in their primes and we all improved in tpe in the off-season. I don't care what anyone else did, we're the champs and we're still the best! 2. I mean I guess if you want 1st overall but it's frowned upon 3. I think we how we battled back and forth with Moscow last season I'd have to say them. 4. I think i did great, I got like 9tpe or something and of course I chose us to win it all! 5. I choose us to win, then other teams that I've noticed did well the season before 6. I invited my immediate family and all the women I slept with in my life, so like 200 or so.
  5. Well it's the time of year where we discuss Warsaw's breakout player Girts Galvins and what a great start he's had, which usually results in him going cold for the next 2 weeks! However, we are no longer scared of this as Galvins has become and elite talent after helping lead Warsaw to the cup last season. Galvins came out hot this season with 3 goals in his first 2 games! He is now sitting at 5 goals and 6 assists for 11 points through 8 games. Pretty good start for the 3rd year VHL'er. Warsaw has been solid as well beginning the defense of their cup with a 5-3 record through the first 8 games. Girts hopes to become one of the top goal scorers in the league this season, so he'll need to continue to score at this rate in order to achieve that goal. If Girts can continue his strong development this season and improve his point totals once again it will go a long way to helping Warsaw remain the champs. The team is looking good again this season, so we think they have a great shot to repeat!
  6. The S84 Champion Warsaw Predators will look to defend the cup in season 85 with a couple new faces on the roster. First we had the departure of stud center Bogdan Trunov who was a key player in their cup run as well as line 2 center Omi Aberg, but cap constraints and roster spots saw the veterans move on this off-season. The Predators needed to fill 2 roster spots and one was the expected call up of S83 draftee Sock Monkey who is closing in on 500tpe and has a bright future with the organization. The other was filled via trade by bringing in Johnny Xavier also around 500tpe out of season 81. Both players are talented and should be solid additions to the line up. It appears as if the Preds will run veterans Marner and Kissingler at 1-2 center this season with Lamb, Galvins, Xaivier and Monkey on the wings, should be a strong forward group and powerplay. On defense Warsaw returns the same 3 studs they had last season in Nalwa, Payne and DeGroot, it appears BotD will handle the 4th d spot again this season. Warsaw should definitely have a good chance to defend their title with this line up, a lot rides on the offensive production of Marner, Kissingler, Lamb and Galvins but they proved they can handle it last season and won the cup so fans are not worried!
  7. 1. I have no idea I didn't check it yet, but I imagine we did pretty well! 2. I like it a lot this season, played way better, I reset it last season made a big difference 3. I think we are almost as good, we lost Trunov but brought in another solid center and have a young guy coming up in sock monkey so depending on how they do I think we can repeat. 4. I would draft the top tpe player as long as they didnt have some bad history in the league or something. 5. 35 goals, 40 assists, 75 points. I want to break a point per game this season. 6. I think it went well, lot of new players found homes and lots of hope for the future!
  8. Sorry didn't get any of the alerts until I signed in this AM! Definitely have been on a few times since this started but no alerts showed up! I will check here each time I'm online moving fwd. F - Alex Johnston D- Hari Sing Nalwa @scoop
  9. After winning his first championship in the VHL Girts Galvins sat down to do some reflecting on his career up to this point. Winning the championship gave him a great sense of accomplishment after all his hard work since joining the league. He's been working his butt off since day 1 and trying to help all his teams win a championship. He came close in Las Vegas as a VHLM rookie, they had a great team and made a good run, it was a great experience and he learned a lot about the league and how to be pro. Then it was off to Bratislava in the VHLE where he took his game to the next level and learned even more about what it takes to succeed in the minor pro ranks. He had some good runs in Bratislava as well but fell just short of a championship there too. He cherishes his time in both the VHLM and VHLE where he played for great GM's and had great teammates, all of which helped to to become the player he is today. Once in the VHL playing for Warsaw he had a huge wake up call as a 3rd liner and despite having a good season as a team and making the playoffs he did not have a good personal season and the team didn't go deep, but this was a needed experience for Girts to reach his potential. The next season (S84) he came out like a bandit and had a huge season statistically and also helped his team to a playoff birth. He was the best player in the team's first match up, leading he entire league in scoring and then played well in the final two rounds eventually being a key reason the Predators were able to come back and beat Seattle in the Finals. All his hard work and dedication in the VHLM, VHLE and now VHL finall paid off and he couldn't be happier or more proud of his path and how things have worked out so far.
  10. 1. Girts Galvins is going to celebrate like a mother fucker this off-season after winning his first Continental CUP!!! 2. Once the hangover wears off I'm going to be hitting the gym hard and getting ready to go back to back for Warsaw! 3. Probably Marner, he has the lowest hanging sack on the team 4. One time I wanted to score so bad I didn't come off the ice for 2 minutes, coach Lamb was not pleased but we patched things up. 5. One time I took a dump in the other teams locker room right before they arrived. Stunk it up. 6. I have no idea what this is, so no I did not sign up.
  11. Wouldn't be here without you guys getting me started. I needed a lot of help!
