  1. 1. I'm excited for my VHL debut. It's been long awaited. I was at Max TPE going into my 3rd VHLE season and contributed to a championship season. Hoping to make an impact at this level as well! 2. I've been focused on getting mentally ready for the next level. Being ahead of the play has brought success but at this level I've got work to do to get to where I want to be. 3. I learned a good amount at training camp being around my teammates and essentially was just a sponge to contribute as soon as possible. 4. I think the trade makes sense for the direction of the team and I'm thrilled to play alongside the Prague Ripper. 5. Time with my family is always what I look forward to doing during holidays and events. Creating memories! 6. There are a few and depends on my mood really. Grandma's Boy, Step Brothers and Good Will Hunting would be at the top of the list. Since you only asked for one, I'm going with the first. It wasn't really a big movie but became a cult favorite. It's got a hilarious plot and hilarious characters.
  2. 1. I think the draft went very well. Having a great prospect pool helps sustain excellence and I believe we have that dynamic. 2. I like our team this year but I know a new GM can bring some growing pains. I think the talent can outweigh any of that. I expect playoffs at the worst! 3. With the passing of the torch of such great vets, it will be important continue learn from them and continue success. 4. I could be a bit bias, but absolutely he should be in the hall of fame. The impact he's had is undebatable. 5. Allergies are always throwing curve balls. The recent swings in temperature/pressure has me in all sorts of wack. 6. Getting prepped for the upcoming season! Lots to get done at home and here in the job still.
  3. 1. I'm thrilled with the teams success but I feel I can contribute more than I have been. Hoping to make the impact I owe to the team. 2. I think the locker room is full of players that can fill those roles so I'd be happy with anyone. 3. Cologne Express. They are the only team in our way of first place. 4. I attend AHL games in my hometown. Used to be a season ticket holder. 5. Rasmus Dahlin. His impact on every game is insane. 6. This is a tough one. I'll go with Gatorade.
  4. 1. Our teams path to the title. I assume we'll get the HBO Hard Knocks for this year 2. I'd hope everyone else is worried about us. They should be. 3. Slight juke snapper. 4. Welcome to the Jungle coming onto the ice then Metallica as.much as possible. 5. Gnocchi with tomato sauce, garlic bread and some veggies. I'd be full every meal and would have a good chunk of nutrients. 6. New Years Resolution has yet to being. I need to wait for payday.
  5. I'm just grateful for my first nomination for an award!
  6. 1. I've always have confidence with this team. I think we'll continue to roll deep into the playoffs. 2. Spanish Moon Moth 3. Team first mentality. Asking yourself if it helps the team be more successful before anything has been helpful. 4. My tree is not up yet. We ordered a bigger fake tree as we have too many ornaments for the previous one. 5. We have a nice coating here in Western NY. Nothing unusual. 6. Corey Perry took being a mentor as being a father figure too seriously. Connor Perry now? Time will tell.
  7. 1. My favorite part of the big meal is being with family and deserts. The desert spread is often bigger than the main meal. 2. I'm not too worried about where we finish in the standings. I just want to make the playoffs and win it all!!! 3. Those guys are absolute beasts. I'm biased but all 3 should get the praise they deserve. 4. My favorite thanksgiving tradition is getting a Christmas tree the following day. 5. Ideally I'd like all nations to be represented. There are many without one still so it could be quite the list. 6. Bill Clinton, I don't think what he did had anything to do with leading the country.
  8. 1. I think we'll be just fine. We just have to keep doing what we're doing and trust the process. 2. He's done it being an absolute beast on the ice! He's everywhere. He's been leading by example and is a great role model for the rest of the boys. 3. I can tell you in the locker room we all know but from an outsider I'd say Celise Pereira. Killing it on defense. 4. This comes back to trusting the process. We're getting the opportunities, eventually the pucks will start going in and the W's will come. 5. I obviously hope for the best but I just focus on the next game. That's something to worry about in the off-season. 6. I'd happily go back to Mexico City, it was a blast playing there and we had a ton of success. Wish we had the trophy though!
  9. 1. My expectations is to improve defensively. While I had a big jump in year two in Mexico City. I've always had a negative plus/minus but put up good offensive numbers. I'd like to become the two-way player my teammates expect me to be. 2. I think the playoff drought is ending this year. I'm confident in the returning players and the new ones coming in. This is our year! 3. This is always a tough question. We've got a good group of guys and it can go many ways but I'm going with rookie Ironhide. 4. The ideal job is likely different based on the individual. I'd say assistant GM for myself while you don't bare all the weight but can still contribute to a well rounded organization. 5. Unfortunately, fighting is leaving hockey but it is incredibly important. It keeps players honest and would result in less injuries. Especially to the stars since people would avoid them knowing that you'd get the best down. 6. True Neutral. Not an exciting answer though.
  10. 1. Improve defensively. We've got great goalies and if we play great Infront of them, we will win it all! 2. I think it's due to not as big of a gap of talent from the best to worst player which allows contributions throughout the lineup. 3. That's a tough question. They are all great in different ways. Since best is fairly relative, I think they'll all make an impact on the teams lucky enough to add them to their roster! 4. Firstly, I don't want to live in a world without hockey. Given my competitiveness, I'd likely have a go at another sport like football as a running back. 5. That's a tough question. Since I seldomly watch TV and do research into who I vote my methods other than campaigns, I'm going to the intent to whistle rule. 6. I tend to not associate myself with people who believe in conspiracies but I'd say that the COVID vaccine is actually the government installing a chip to control us. Go Vikings!
  11. 1. I think we certainly have the ability to climb the standings but I'm more focused on clinching the playoffs. I'm confident we can win a series against any of these teams! 2. Versatility. I think we've done well adjusting gameplans to get W's. 3. I don't have much of a preference between the two colors. I think it works for both of them. 4. The only thing I'd like is more teams! Otherwise I'm content with the rules. 5. I'm hoping the Buffalo Bills will have another exciting year. 6. I heard music coming from the office. It was just the printer jamming.
  12. 1. A balanced roster and immediately clicking as a team. 2. I think we'll run away with it. So maybe 2-5 3. It allows them bot to stay fresh and also allows the ability to ride whose hot at the time. It also allows the defensive to take a few chances to make big plays. Alternatively once we get the lead a strong defensive game and one of them in net allows us to hold the lead. 4. Community 5. That's a tough one. Lots to choose from. 6. Rats. Unless if they are carrying the black plague.
  13. 1. It certainly has been a roller coaster of an off season. After a 2year stint with Mexico City in the VHLM I got my first promotion and then was traded a few days later. 2. Being my first year in the VHLE, I hope to contribute to the team in any way I can likely from the middle 6 of the lineup 3. Personally, I don't care how many teams there are. I just want to be the best one. 4. Doomsday 5. The classic Mighty Ducks when they were also USA. 6. Salami
  14. 1. My plans this off-season would be to relax with the family and work on aspects of my game that needs improvement. 2. Last season, while I improved individually, was a bit of a disappointment as I felt I could've helped pushed the team further than our final result. 3. I read books all the time. Currently rereading the classic Napalm and Silly Putty by the legendary George Carlin. Still my all time favorite book is Ready Player One though. 4. Was selected to represent the United States of America. 5. Brian Gionta
  15. 1. I feel great! I feel I'm as good as I can be to help the team move on and have a successful playoff run. 2. Strong defense seems to be the key. I don't think we were fully ready for Game 1 but man did I love how we bounced back in game 2. 3. I've said it before. We've got a good group here and we're going to put it all into our game. Determination will help us prevail. 4. I love upsets but Houston is really good. I'll be curious to see how the following two games play out. I think whomever wins game 3 will win the series. 5. This is a tough one. There are numerous good teams. But I'm going with Prague. I hope to contribute to their playoff runs in the future! 6. It wasn't in the restaurant but I was with a friend and she pulled into Wendy's parking lot and went behind a car. I noticed quickly but instead of saying something I wanted to see how long it would take for her to realize. We waited a few minutes until a car drove past us into the drive thru. She pulled into the parking lot and essentially parked behind a parked car thinking it was the drive thru. To this day, I have no idea what went on in her head to do something like this.
  16. 1.I feel we should've finished with a better record. That being said, you should always strive to be better and I don't think we played poorly nor think we were a bottom half team. 2. I think in order to have a strong playoff run we just need to button up and play a bit stronger defensively. 3. Carson Walker Jr. He was a beast all season on both sides of the rink. 4. Speed. Speed can create more open ice and can tire out opponents. 5. Defensive coverage and offensive vision. I think I play smart on both sides of the ice. I'm hoping to lead by example. 6. My dream dinner guest would be the late George Carlin. I'd love to understand how he processes things.
  17. The Mexico City Periódico caught up with Chris Sanzone and some staff following this morning's practice. Chris Sanzone had a dream come true when he was drafted by the Mexico City Kings in the VHLM, a minor league of the VHL. Due to originally being a long shot prospect, he was drafted 50th overall in S88 and may possibly be the steal of the draft. The 21-year-old left winger from Western New York had always wanted to play hockey in Mexico, where his mothers cousin's ex-husband friend's dog sitter was born and where he spent two summers as a kid. “I love the culture, the food, the people, and the hockey here,” Sanzone said. “It’s an honor to play for the Kings and represent Mexico City in this sport.” Sanzone had a solid rookie season with the Kings, scoring 12 goals and 10 assists in 72 games. He also impressed with his physical play, blocking shots and delivering hits. After contributing 3 goals and 2 assists in the Kings playoff run, ending in a heart breaking game 7 overtime loss after a 3-0 series lead, he earned an invitation to the Junior Showcase Tournament. In this tournament he scored 2 goals and 3 assists in 11 games while his team won the tournament. But in his sophomore season, Sanzone took his game to another level. After being voted team captain, he became one of the top wingers in the league. He currently has 17 goals and 28 assists for 45 points in 64 games. Over double his production from his freshman season. He also has shown his clutch ability as 7 of his 17 goals were game winners, which is among the league leaders. While it looks like the Kings will finish 3rd in the Eastern Conference, he's excited for a strong finish to the season. Sanzone’s general manager, samx, said he was amazed by his player’s improvement and potential. “Chris is a phenomenal player and a phenomenal person,” an assistant coach said. “He works hard every day, he listens to feedback, he respects his teammates and opponents, and he plays with heart and skill. He has everything you want in a winger. He can score, he can defend, he can skate, he can hit. He’s a complete package.” Sanzone said he was grateful for his general manager’s guidance and his team’s support. “The coaching staff has taught me so much about the game and about life,” Sanzone said. “They are like father figures to me. And my teammates are like brothers to me. We have a great chemistry and we have fun together. We’re a family.” Sanzone’s next goal is to make it to the VHL, the top league in the world. After being drafted 26th overall by the Prague Phantoms and signing a 3 year entry level contract, he said he hopes to continue his development as a player and as a person. “I want to play in the VHL someday, that’s my dream,” Sanzone said. “But I also want to enjoy every moment I have in the VHLM. This league has given me so much, and I want to give back as much as I can. I want to make my family and my team proud.
  18. Happy Annual Celebration of your Day of Birth VHL!
  19. 1. Not making any moves only shows that our GM believes in us. I'm excited to show that it was the right decision. 2. Mid season waivers is a great way to improve a team with breaking too much chemistry. We didn't lose anyone so we are only better now! 3. It should be a good draft class and I'm looking forward to see the impact they have on the VHL landscape. 4. I hope every country creates a great hockey program! More talent in more places just makes every league stronger. 5. Who do you think I'm going to say will upset Philadelphia in the playoffs!? Mexico City all the way!!! 6. I was sleeping three hours ago. Dreaming of upsetting Philadelphia.
  20. 1. I feel pretty confident in our group still. We still have that dark horse vibe. 2. Trade deadlines are always tricky. Comes down to if players are available for the right price and that fits our game plan. 3. You have to focus one game at a time but I think we'll have a stronger second half than first half. 4. I'm hoping to get out there and participate in theme week but there are also many responsibilities outside of the rink so we'll see. 5. Being a commissioner has many pros and cons. It would be fun and challenging but would also have it's difficulties on top of a time commitment. 6. It's funny because I don't get caught up in conspiracy theories but I'm extremely superstitious which realistically is equally as silly at times. Let's Go Mexico!
  21. 1. I felt it was good to have a rocky start. It was a wake up call and we can use it as a reference point throughout the season. 2. I know we have it in ourselves to get some W's. We'll regroup and play our game. 3. They are certainly good teams. I have to give credit where it's due. However I like being under the radar. I like thinking of us as the dark horse. 4. I find the biggest surprise to be Philadelphia's 20-1 start. They may be on track to breaking some records if they maintain that pace. 5. I live in Mexico City where I currently play so I'd likely head up North. Not being a big beach guy I'll likely head up to the Grand Canyon and get some hiking in. 6. Dream vacation would be anywhere with the right people. The experiences with people will outweigh any destination!
