I can't believe I even made it past D3 in the first game, and I also can't believe that it's the 10th time I'm asking "who's interested" and getting a solid amount of people jumping on the boat (and, oh yeah, we're just about at 5,000 posts in this subforum!). So, yeah--let's make this one a game to remember. No announcements this time around as nothing's changed this time around (finally! exclaim too many souls upon realizing that there aren't any stupid minor rule changes Gustav has decided to implement). I'll get this out of the way, though... The format of this game is Any All, meaning that this is your role list. ...no, there's no role list, for any first-timers for whom that wasn't directly stated enough. Now for the copy-paste, hopefully edited this time so as to be up to the standards of the current rules... -I'm going with my usual starting and ending times as a general guideline: WHENEVER THE HELL I WAKE UP marks the start of each day phase, and 9 PM EST marks the start of each night phase. Those will be the times that I'll aim for, but, officially, the start of one phase and the end of another comes whenever I make the announcement. You'll be pinged. I will do my best to give out expected announcement times, but I reserve the right to kick off any phase at any time. -No talking in this thread during night phases. That goes for everybody, regardless of role. I have no power to lock this thread at night, and there's no official penalty for talking in here at night, but if you see one of your fellow citizens doing so, please yell at them for me. -Do not edit posts. I've been relaxed about not yelling at people who have, but editing is a sneaky way to take out potentially incriminating information. If you say something stupid, too bad. Don't change it. -If you are reasonably able to be online at the start of the night phases, please make an effort to do so. The JAILOR (if there is a Jailor) is able to speak with you in their own Discord server at night, and that is when I will send an invite to whoever is jailed. If it is within your power to do so and doesn't present a huge inconvenience, please be online when the night phase starts and please join the server out of respect for the Jailor and their time. -DO NOT PM ANYBODY. All communication must happen in this thread, unless you have already received an invite to a Discord server where you may speak as well. If you haven't, keep everything here. Well, you know what time it is... No big developments, no weird new stuff I'm going to throw at anyone...I should just get right into the copy-paste--but wait just a second! THIS IS OUR TENTH GAME! To celebrate us making it this far, I'm hoping to get a good-sized group in to play this one. This means that I will be advertising this game a bit more than usual, and that you should expect a bit more than the 17-19 per game we've been seeing lately. Surprised to see goalies so low in the top 10; sometimes I'm the first or one of the first in my group to pick one up. All I'll say for this season is that my team is looking spicy ?

There's something called Mac Cleanup Pro that I (accidentally) downloaded early last year and it absolutely wrecked my computer. Had to mail it in and have it reset at the factory because windows were just randomly crashing on me and I was having this weird internet issue where stuff just refused to load, even when everything else on the network was working fine. Basically, don't even think about trying that one. I actually don't use any security program either at the moment so this thread could be helpful to me as well.

Taro Tsujimoto is a name which stands out to many a hockey fan who's read up on their hockey history. Born in 1954, he became the first-ever Japanese player selected in the NHL draft twenty years later, going to the Buffalo Sabres in the eleventh round to a fair amount of local media attention. Though he put up only fairly average numbers with the Tokyo Katanas, his team in Japan (putting up 15 goals in his pre-draft season, hardly NHL numbers), fans and reporters eagerly awaited his arrival in Buffalo to meet with the team and potentially set a new mark in the history of the sport, becoming a symbol of global interest and diversity. For weeks, questions were asked--where was Taro, when would he show up, what was the team planning for him--and for weeks, these questions were non-answered with explanations that his travel had been delayed due to legal complications and that it was unclear when the NHL would see its first Japanese draftee. Eventually, rumors floated about, and some news broke to the surface--neither Taro, nor his team, ever even existed. ...that is, until 46 years after the fact, when a 20-year-old Japanese hockey player walked into the training facility of the Ottawa Lynx and was offered a roster position on the spot. "Yeah, I actually did exist," said Taro to news outlets in Ottawa at a press conference Tuesday night. "I go to bed before my flight over, and the next thing I know I wake up and it's 2020. Must have been some sort of weird time-warp thing or something." Tsujimoto looked around for a job in the NHL, hoping to be invited to a training camp or two, but was rejected by just about every team, including the Sabres--who cited his "initiative and drive to succeed" as being "in direct contrast with team philosophy". After being turned down by his fourteenth NHL team in the Ottawa Senators, he saw a few Lynx jerseys on the street, asked around, and found his way into the VHLM, where he's found himself off to a solid start and being scouted early on as a potential top prospect after, well, stepping out onto the ice in a brand-new playing environment, in a brand-new era where the game is entirely different, and putting up three points in his first four games. Only time will tell whether he's able to turn his solid start into a bright and shining career, but at the moment, he's ready to make the most of his time in the minors and do what spacetime kept him out of in the '70s--prove himself to a big-league club and make history.
