  2. 1. In the latter half of the season now and, while Halifax and Minnesota are quite a few points ahead, there is just 4 points separating 3rd and 7th, which of those five teams (Aces, Bulls, Lynx, Rush, Wild) do you think will finish highest at the end of the season? Aces and Wild are the ones to watch for in my opinion, they are the teams that we are struggling against at the moment. 2. Since the last set of questions were asked, the World Juniors Rosters have been selected. What do you think about your nationalities chances at winning the tournament? I got selected for team Asia, I don't really know where we will land, but I'm positive! 3a. Who would you consider the best player on your team? I don't know a lot of people in the LR, I might try to fit in a little more so I can answer that question down the line 4. Hunter Hearst Helmsley is currently leading the league in points and goals, do you think there's anyone who can stop him from leading in either come the end of the season? I don't really care about personnal numbers, all I care about is the W, so I don't get into those kind of numbers 5. Give a shout-out to one member of your team who has helped you out and why (maybe a member's player has helped your player perform well in the sim, a member who helped you with PT's, etc.) I've been traded by her, unfortunately, be I got to go with @BladeMaiden, she gave me all the knowledge I needed and I am very grateful for all she has done for me 6. Recommend either a video game or a movie for other members to play/watch and why you'd recommend it. Definetly the movie Goon, damn guys, get physical!

  6. 1. With the draft being recently how do you feel Halifax made out in comparison to the other teams and does this put us in a good enough spot to compete in your opinion? 2. McWolf and I are really trying to create a positive atmosphere with our private discord locker-room? Have you gotten a chance to try it out yet and if so, what do you think of it and is there anything you would suggest to us for a more positive user-friendly experience? 3. Who is your bestie on the team so far? 4. Captains will be chosen at the end of the week. If you were in charge of picking them, who would be your choices? 5. What are your goals for your player this season? 6. What do you have to offer as a player, or in other words, how do you feel you can help Halifax going forward? ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 1. As far as my 1 week experience in this team can tell, we have a great team this year and if we compare to other team, we surely have the right to think that we are a championship contender! 2. People are nice, I felt welcome when I first got in the LR, it is a ton of fun, but a little less active than I expected. 3. I got to go with gorlab, we are from the same team, we know each other a little bit more than I know anyone else so.. 4. I honestly can't answer that question unfortunately, I don't know my teammates well enough... 5. Get better defensively, contribute in offence a little bit, and get way less penalty, and by that I mean, at lot less 6. I believe that I am a strong defenseman that can dish out some hits and get in front of a few shot and clear goalie's view. My physic is my best strenght.
  7. Biography of Edward Vigneault Chapter 1: Childhood His story begins in the small town of Baie-Comeau, a mere city of about 20,000 habitants, located in the Côte-Nord region of Quebec. Born of a labor father in the sawmill of the region and a mother babysitter, family income is quite high. He grew up in hockey thanks to his father, Charles Vigneault, the biggest fan of the Quebec City Meute. Indeed, he listens to these religiously every night there is match. Edward is enrolled at a young age in minor hockey of his region. His friends are Louis-Pierre Gauthier and Félix Allard, hockey teammates and classmates at Boisvert Elementary School. Every weekend, Edward, his father and sometimes his friends, go to their cottage located 50 kilometers north of the city to practice their favorite activities: hunting, fishing and relaxing. For weekday evenings, they are dictated by practices, hockey games, improvised games of floor hockey in the street and homework. Edward is clearly not a A+ student, indeed, he has a lot of difficulties at school, but managed somehow to succeed all his courses without failures. This rhythm of life extends throughout his elementary school. However, big changes will be coming for high school. Chapter 2: Adolescence Unfortunately for Edward, he must leave his home town at the age of 12 if he wants to continue his hockey career, his region is very far away, recruiters and coaches don’t go in Baie-Comeau to scout or give camps of improvements. It is rather rare in this region to see a guy with Edward’s potential, so it is under the guidance of the director of minor hockey of Baie-Comeau that Charles, Edward’s father, decide to take a fly for his son to the city of Quebec and to enroll him in a high school there. He must live with friends of the Vigneault family and study at La Camaradière high school in hockey concentration. By no longer living with his parents, Edward have his mother helping him in his homework, that he would then create a drop of grades and a few courses failure. He managed to pass his high school with the help of his friends. On the hockey level, Edward stands out by his physic. His slap shot improves a lot, and he distributes good checks. Unfortunately for him, the different teams of VHLM consider him not mature enough to use a draft pick on him. He started working on weekends in a hardware store’s backyard where he developed strength. Every summer, his father bought him a fly back to Baie-Comeau to see his family and friends. He loved to be back in his region every summer, he was always asking to go to the cottage, since he couldn’t go hunting and to go fishing while he was in Quebec. Fortunately for Edward, every academic year, he was also able to see his parents when they were coming to watch a Meute’s game. He loved to go there with his father because he was analyzing the way every defenseman in Quebec’s team was playing to try to mimic them in his own play. He worked so hard during his high-school years that he got a place in Laval University hockey roster. Chapter 3: Becoming a man Due to his bad grades during his high-school years, he had to do some refresher course to get in human science, since he wasn’t decided about what career he would do in his life. Refresher courses helped him a lot and he finally got good grades without any help. He found an interest in the human mind, he liked to know they way people reacted to a given situation, that’s what motivated him to get through his classes, he finally knew what he would do if hockey wasn’t successful. On the hockey side of things, Limoilou’s team was exceptionally good these years, so good that he did not have that much ice time as he was expected. That fact motivated him a lot to prove himself and give everything he had every single shift. Year went pass and he moved up in the organization’s line to finally get a top 2 role. He developed so much during his cegep’s year that he got a few elite’s bourses to make his way into the university’s world. Chapter 4: Living in the man's world Finally, time for him to get an apartment with a friend that went to Laval University, like him. He struggled a little bit at first but liked having his own house quickly. His room-mate was John Talbot, a teammate from Limoilou. They got on very well and helped each other out in class, because they both decided to enroll themselves in psychology. Of course, they struggled more than in cegep, it’s university after all! But with passion and work, they passed every class they took together. They threw a few parties here in there at their apartment, did some things that they were not proud of, just like any other university student. They played hockey a lot, they were on the same defensive duo in the Rouge & Or, the university hockey team. It was hard at first, after all, they were in the highest non-professional league in Quebec. Their coach was just amazing, developped them in a matter of months into real VHLM ready players. Unfortunately for them, three consecutive year passed without any VHLM team willing to give them a shot. Edward had the impression that he was doing everything right, but that was just not enough. So, as always, he trained harder, worked harder, until one day, one day that he will never forget. Chapter 5: Going pro 27th February 2019, Edward is going to get himself dressed for his practice, when he was just about to enter the locker room, his coach was standing in the door, he told him that someone wanted to talk to him in his office and didn’t wanted to tell Edward who it was. Edward, make his way to the coach office, head full of thought, stressed. He makes his way to the door, open it, sees a woman, sitting in the coach’s chair, looking outside the window. He has no idea who that woman is. She turns around to face Edward, and say ‘’Hi, my name is Blade Maiden, I am the general manager of the Philadelphia Reapers, a team in the VHLM league.’’ Edward couldn’t hide his smile, he now knew what was about to happen, his dream was about to become a reality, he will become a professional hockey player! They talked about the term and agreements of the contract for about 1 hour, at the end, Edward signed his 1st professional contract, when he came back to the locker room, everyone was aware of the signing, thanks to his coach. They celebrated like they never did before, finally someone was being signed in their team! That was the beginning of a beautiful story, a beautiful story yet to be concluded… ** First time writing a story in english, I am sorry if some sentences are weird
  8. If you could change our team colours what would you change them to? Who is the weirdest Player in our locker room? Are you more of a forum LR member or a Discord LR member and why? What inspires you to keep going in the tough times. Do you celebrate a lot of holidays and do you encourage your team to celebrate with you? Type of Skates you use? One interest you have other than hockey. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ I would change our blue to a darker one. Definitely Kandee, damn she says weird things in the LR. Discord all the way, I don't know why but it feels more personnal, we get along very well all together and celebrate a win in the discord is a ton of fun! The fact that we are all improving and helping each other is a strong motivation for me. BEER, never enough. All teammates are welcome in the upper part of Quebec! I use my old CCM Ribcor 48K, I got them when I was 18 years old and I fell in love with them, can't skate in anything else. I like hunting and fishing with my dad. He's a woodman and everytime I go see him, we have to go to the cottage and chill there for a day or two, it is like a tradition.
  9. Started using GIMP last week, looking for tips to get better!

  11. I've understand, and I will post in english from now on. I understand your point, I just didn't knew. Thanks
  12. March 4th 2019 The Crematorium Center Edward Vigneault, the man from the woods Tout d'abord, bonjour Edward, merci beaucoup de me recevoir au Centre Crematorium aujourd'hui pour cette entrevue. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ First of all, hello Edward, thank you very much for having me at the Crematorium Center today for this interview. How do you feel about your first presence in the media? Thank you for having me! I must say that I was a little nervous before you arrived because of Kandee told me that my interview was going to be in English, and as you know, I have a little difficulty with that language, since I grew up speaking only in French. Well, let's talk about the city where you grew up. What can you tell us about this one? Well, it's a city of about 20,000 people practically at the end of route 138. It's quite remote as a place, because the largest city is 550 km away. However, the winters are longer, the hockey seasons last longer, you can play on neighborhood rinks in December easily. Fishing, hunting, lots of fun and I can not wait to go back and meet my family and friends. So, you seem to be saying that it's a good environment to develop a hockey player? In fact, not really, although you can play longer and more often, it is very difficult to break out of the area. People in the city have training and development camps all year round, VHL players coming in and giving great tips to the kids who are improving so much faster than the average of our area. And how did you manage to stand out and leave the region? Hopefully, and yes, my parents are fortunate enough to pay me a few trips a year to Quebec or Montreal to participate in the training camps. However, I accompanied this chance with hard work, every day I played hockey: in the morning before school, I drew a hundred slices in the net in my back yard, the evening if I was not in the street playing hockey, I was at the rink of the neighborhood to do the '' drills '' that my coach had given me at my request. I lived for hockey, I ate morning, noon and night. Finally, I must say that my physique helps a lot, 6'6 '' and 250lbs, it's a good size for hockey. Your physical, let's talk about it! How would you describe yourself as a defender? I'm not really good at describing myself, but to answer your question, I think I'm a very defensive defenseman, I can support my story with my minor hockey stats! I think I have enough ease to release my goalie's vision, although now in VHLM the guys are bigger and stronger, but my physic still favors me. So thank you very much for this short interview, and I wish you the best of luck in your VHLM career Thank you very much Pierre, with the pleasure to talk again in a near future! When we came out of the Reapers locker room, we met with @BladeMaiden, the team's general manager, we took the opportunity to gather his comments on his new recruit, who has our greatest surprise, replied in French and I quote: "I am very happy to welcome a very talented player to our team, and it is no secret that some of the best players in the games came from Quebec, and Edward Vigneault is a perfect example of this excellence. pleased to see him crush the competition. "
  13. 1. After one long offseason, season 65 has finally started. What do you think of your team's performance in these first couple of sims? I am pretty happy with where we are right now, but of course, we are looking for more W in the futur! 2. How is the ambiance in your locker room after these sims? Very friendly, I was worried a little bit at first since I am new to the league, but my teammates helped me a lot. 3. Which team do you like playing against more than others? Houston, obviously, our rivals. Always fun to bang agains't the board 4. Season has just started, so the VHL Entry Draft might be hard to predict right now, but in what round do you think you'll be taken? Sorry, I don't go that far in the futur, I prefer to focus on my play on the ice right now, I will get plenty of time to think about the draft. 5. Besides hockey, obviously, what other sports do you like to play casually or watch? I like to play some Spikeball in the backyard but from where I'm from we play Volleyball a lot. 6. What's your game day routine? What do you eat before games? I usually wake up early, go out for a little walk with the dog in the morning, afternoon I prepare myself, and go to the arena to workout a little. I eat spaghetti before each game, I've always done that.
