  2. 1. In the latter half of the season now and, while Halifax and Minnesota are quite a few points ahead, there is just 4 points separating 3rd and 7th, which of those five teams (Aces, Bulls, Lynx, Rush, Wild) do you think will finish highest at the end of the season? the Bulls 2. Since the last set of questions were asked, the World Juniors Rosters have been selected. What do you think about your nationalities chances at winning the tournament? i dont think europe has a very good chance at winning because the other teams are just way better 3b. (If you didn't make your World Juniors roster) Were you surprised not to make it onto your team's roster or was it expected? it was expected because i am still new here and i dont have mush tpe 4. Hunter Hearst Helmsley is currently leading the league in points and goals, do you think there's anyone who can stop him from leading in either come the end of the season? no one can stop him he is definititely going 1st overall 5. Give a shout-out to one member of your team who has helped you out and why (maybe a member's player has helped your player perform well in the sim, a member who helped you with PT's, etc.) Thrandauil helped me a lot with getting a bunch of TPE by telling me what things to do 6. Recommend either a video game or a movie for other members to play/watch and why you'd recommend it. A great game to play in my free time is NBA 2K16
  3. AJ Axelsen Age: 19 Height: 6’1” Weight: 177 pounds Position: RW Handiness: Left Birthplace: Karlstad,Sweden Team: Halifax 21sts Short Bio: Born in Karlstad, this speedy winger began playing hockey at the age of 5 but it wasn’t until he was 14 that he started to play like the best. It was always his dream to make it to the VHL but his family never had enough to pay for his hockey training. At the age of fourteen a coach recognized his skills and paid for his training. Ever since then he has worked hard to reach the top and will continue to do so at the highest levels. Pros Skating His skating is described by scouts as very speedy and combined with his puck-handling this can make him a lethal scorer. His skating is seamless on the ice and it seems flawless, scouts report. His speed also helps him skate faster so that he can avoid getting hit. Passing His passing makes him a very complete player because he is not very selfish when he has he puck. His stellar passing earned him the most assists for the Swedish team Frolunda in a single season. Scouts report that he is always very accurate with his passing and his vision on the ice is great because he understands where to play the puck for a good play. Puck Handling His puck-handling skills make him a useful player to carry the puck out of his own zone and play it into the slot. His puck-handling also makes him a hard player to defend. This also helps him to keep from losing the puck and keeping his giveaways in check. Cons Defensive Game His smaller frame prevents him from being confident on defence and he finds it difficult to mark his man and can struggle with his plus-minus because of this. He often is not able to block a shot or deliver a solid hit. Even though his defense is bad he is trying to work towards better play in his own zone rather than focusing on point totals. Checking Another con for his size is his checking because he does not have the confidence to check a player or to steal the puck. He often is not able to take the puck back from an opposing player because his checks are not strong or he does not land them. He also struggles to forecheck because he is afraid of getting hit or getting injured. His checking could ended up being a major problem for teams that have had him in the past because he often would lose a forecheck to lose the puck for his team. Penalty Shot His penalty shot is another factor of his game that Axelsen should work on because it seems that he is never able to score in the shootout or score a goal on a penalty shot. He seems to not be able to score in the shootout because he is easily fazed and loses confidence very quickly. This could be a problem for teams that rely on shootout wins a lot to help them get points.
  4. 1. Which aspect of your game needs the most improvement right now? The defensive game. 2. Which team has been the toughest to play against this season? The Storm because they are always right behind in the standings and they have a lot of depth. 3. Which team has been the easiest to play against this season? The reapers because it seems they are always on a losing streak and can't get things right. 4. Are you satisfied with your performance this season, so far? Not really because I don't think I have been able to get any points yet. 5. Is there anyone that you look up to as a role-model, leader or mentor on the time this season? How do they inspire you to play your game? Volosenkov because he is always finding ways to lead the team and he also is a great guy off the ice. 6. Where do you see yourself 3 seasons from now? I think I might be able to play as a second or third line winger in the VHL in 3 seasons
