  1. 1 - I just got back from a short walk outside and it's hot as hell out. How's the weather where you are? A- It's on and off. We had an isanley hot spring and then it went cold for a week and since then it's been on and off everyweek. Not that i'm complaining. 2 - It looks unlikely that Warsaw makes the playoffs this year - what could we have done different? A- Scored more goals. Kept more pucks out of the net. Would have made a world of difference in my view. 3 - My player, Ryuji Sakamoto, is going to be a free agent at the end of the season. I'd like to win a cup before he is mandatorily retired. Where should I go? A- Pssshhh, Cups are overrated. God where you can put up the most points. ( also, Warsaw) 4 - My toaster oven just dinged, signaling my pancakes are ready. What do you like to put on pancakes/waffles? A- Oh Boy! Depends what mood i'm in. I can go Butter, Syrup, Fruit and whipped cream. Or for those crazy moments, Lemon and brwon sugar. 5 - What style of hockey player is your favorite? Butterfly goalie, power forward, slick defenseman, something else? A- Having played Goalie, the Butterfly goalie! So much fun to watch. and as a player, So annoying to beat. 6 - When you create a VHL player, do you have a real life role model in mind? A- I do. I like the tough power forward, hard hitting, goal scoring guys. A little like Ovechkin was at the beginning of his career. When he hit EVERYONE and still scored buckets of goals. BONUS QUESTION - are you subbed to my YouTube channel? I started dabbling with Shorts last night and am trying to pick some funny excerpts to highlight. A- Until this moment i had no idea you had a youtube channel..........
  2. 1 - Are you happy with your player's performance so far this season? A- HAHAHAHA, No. 4 goals and 6 assists. Not good enough. I want to help my team so i need to get these numbers up. 2 - Do you have individual statistical goals for your player? A- I do. In the long run i would love to be a 35 plus goal scorer and 90 plus points. I know it's a journey to get there but it's the goal. 3 - Do you do anything special during the summer? A- not really. We like to get away for a bit and visit someplace different. Unless we want to relax on the beach and then it's basically the same place every year. 4 - Does your player do anything special during the summer months? A- Ya, Normally a 2 week bora bora get away, then goes home to see the family for a week. Then it's back to training. 5 - If you and your player were going out to dinner, what kind of food would you both want? A- Tough one. I guess it would depend where we were. In Italy, Pizza, Montreal, smoke meat, Ect. One thing that is for sure, there would be meat. 6 - Do you have any questions for me [Der Meister]? A - not really. Honestly this is my first Warsaw presser so i'll figure out something in a few weeks and then pick on you. lol

  4. 1-First off, Congrats Mexico City on one hell of a run and a great season! No matter what happens, it’s been a memorable one.To what do you attribute the success of this season? 2- Championship Finals, most imagine it as a grand moment in their careers that will live on forever in their minds. Was this everything you imagined it to be? 3- I know everyone expected Mississauga to make the finals, but whoever makes it pretty much deserves to be there. What was your take on facing Philadelphia or do you think Mississauga would have been a closer final? 4-Cole has gone his whole VHLM GM career never having won a championship until now. Dispute that he has kept Mexico competitive every season he has been GM. Does a championship lock his spot in the VHLM hall of fame? 5-Looking back on this season, what is your biggest take-away? 6- To say the NHL playoffs has been underwhelming is a massive understatement. It looks like Vegas and the Panthers will more than likely meet in the Stanley Cup finals. How surprised are you by this?
  5. 1- Well the Playoffs are here and the Kings have blown right through the first round. What was your take on the first round? 2- Round 2 projects to be much harder for the Kings. What’s your breakdown of this rounds opponent 3- Are you paying any attention to the other conference during these playoffs? 4- In honour of Zetterberg, is Cole going to cost the kings another title this season? 5- how has your player performed through the first round of the playoffs? Are they playing at their best or still trying to find their feet? 6- The NHL now has its final 4. Carolina be Florida. And Dallas vs Vegas. Who do you think make it to the greatest ice show on earth, The Stanley Cup finals?
  6. 1- Games left in the regular season. The playoff hunt is over as Mexico has a playoff spot locked. However, the fight for playoff seed is in full effect as Mexico City and San Diego battle it out for 1st in the conference. A simple 1 point separates the 2. Should Mexico finish 2nd, they will have to face Houston, a team that has given Cole and the Kings a hard time for the last few seasons. How confident are you that Mexico can Beat Houston in a seven-game series? 2- During the last 8 games of the season, Mexico plays San Diego twice and Houston twice. With half the resining Games having Playoff implications, What is the most comfortable outcome for Mexico? 3- Mexico City has the best Powerplay in the league, running at 25%. They also have the 3rd best Penalty Kill behind San Diego and Mississauga, two teams ahead of them in the overall standings. Which do you think is more important Powerplay or penalty kill and why? 4- Justin Williams is now 4 points back of league leader Tullemore drew for the most points. Is getting to number 1 a team mission now or is it every man for him/herself? 5- Gm Cole has achieved another 40-win Season, That’s at least 5 seasons in a row. How impressive is that feat, and should Cole go down as the greatest VHLM Gm to not win a cup ( Yet )? 6- The NHL playoffs have seen the top teams struggle and fall out of the playoffs early. Boston, Colorado, Toronto ( Almost out ). Yet teams like Seattle and Florida (who just made it in) are playing like they can go all the way. In terms of VHLM, What teams make you worry about what playoff run they can go on?
  7. 1- Mexico has some games coming up against non-playoff teams. What would you consider a successful stretch against these teams? 2- who on Mexicos roster would you consider as a nominee for MVP? 3- final 20 games of the season. Mexico is all but clinched their ticket. Are you looking forward to the playoffs or are you still focused on the rest of the season? 4- Cole normally starts to tinker with his lineup at this point of the season. Stuff like playing a rookie goalie the rest of the way. Are you ok with Coles tactics? Or do you question his intentions? 5- We are quickly approaching the end of the season. Given your CURRENT stats, what are your targets to end the seasons? 6- now that round 2 has started in the NHL. Give me your prediction between Toronto and Florida.
  8. 1- First off, Congrats on a great week to the entire Mexico City team. 10 game winning streak is no easy feat in this league and quite an accomplishment. To what do you attribute this amazing run? 2- At the start of the season, everyone expected the Kings to be more of a defensive team, all the attention on Defense at the draft made everyone think Mexico would be in a lot of lower-scoring games. Yet the Kings lead the league in goals for, What are your thoughts on this? 3- There is a battle at the top of Mexico's Conference. San Diego seems to be ( and has always been ) the team to give Mexico a hard time. Would you consider them a direct Rival to the Kings? Or is there another team ( Maybe Miami, Las Vegas, or Houston) that you consider a bigger rival? 4- It's Retro week here in VHL as a whole. But we want to know on a personal level ( PLAYER LEVEL ) who would you consider to be your rival? Are they on your team or playing somewhere else? 5- Don't look now but we are approaching the 40-game mark! That can only mean one thing, TRADE-DEADLINE!!!!! Are you expecting GM Cole to make some moves? If so what moves are you wanting? If not, what? 6- It's also that time of the week for the non-SHL life. question. LA Kings ( the "not better than Mexico" kings)put up an amazing fight against Edmonton, keeping the best current player more or less contained. However, they now sit on the brink of elimination. Do you think they can come back and take the series? or is it done for those Kings? ( you know, The ones who are in the Shadow of the Mexico City Kings?)
  9. Press Conference Week ending 04/19/2023 (Answer Questions for 2 Capped TPE 1- What is your take on Mexico City’s season so far? 2- How’s your player doing this season. Are you satisfied with your performance so far? 3- In good Kings fashion, the “mid-season” is always a point of slowing down for Mexico City. Do you feel like this is the beginning of a struggle or just a temporary set back. 4- In your opinion, why is Cole so good at his job? 5- The All-star team has named its rosters, did your player make it to the all-star spectacle? How do you feel about it? 6- Alright, NHL playoffs have begun? Everyone has played at least 1 game. Is your choice team doing well so far?
  10. Press Conference Week ending 04/02/2023 (Answer Questions for 2 Capped TPE 1- With Mexico City Currently in first in the VHLM, Are you surprised at how fast the Kings have come out of the gate? Or was this expected? 2- How would you describe the Mexico City Locker room at this point of the season? Any internal Rivalries? 3- Historically both San Diego and Houston have been a thorn in Mexico City side. With San Diego just 4 points back of Mexico City, How does the team plan on holding them off in the standings? 4- Mexico City is currently 7-1-2 . They have not been blow-out in anytime and have only blown out 1 team in a 6-0 win. Do you think this is directly related to the drafting Cole did( drafting so many Defensemen) or is this just an adjustment period before the offence starts to blow teams out? 5- two of the returning platers lead the team in scoring. Justin Williams has 15 points while WJC gold medal winner Heffelfinger has 13. Will they continue to lead the team all season or will we see someone else take the lead? 6- How was Easter? Did the team do anything as a group or did everyone keep to themselves?
  11. Hey MEXICO!!!!! Here are this week’s questions! 1- With the VHLM Draft now over, how would you rate Coles job at the draft? 2- Cole went into the draft targeting Defensemen. This is a massive shift from what Gm Cole normally does. How do you think this will affect Mexico going into the season? 3 - It’s no secret Mexico wants to return to the Finals and finish what they missed last season, a championship. How close to that goal do you expect Mexico to get? 4- Mexico City has had 2 seasons of players at the top of the points leaders. Alex Stroheim 2 seasons ago and Captain Nugget and Tim Riggins last season. How many players do you think will be in the top 3 in points and who do you think it will be? 5 - Did you watch the VHLM draft stream? What were your thoughts? 6- we tend to have a fun question at this point, something not so VHL minded. So with that said, the NHL season is coming to a close. What team really surprised you in a good way, or bad way, and why?
  12. Words: 595 “Well look what we have here, another forward! I think Riggins might arguably have a higher ceiling than Barca. It was a nice balance by Warsaw to draft a high floor forward, and then a high ceiling forward. The question still remains if Warsaw can even clear a path for these young prospects to the big leagues.” This is what Draft experts had to say when Warsaw called Tim Riggins 13th Overall in the VHL draft. Riggins looked Surprised to hear his name this early in the draft. Of all the teams that interviewed him, Moscow seemed the most likely at 15 overall. Warsaw never sat down with Riggins to interview him. “ I can’t say I was expecting it. I had a great rookie season in the VHLM. I thought I should have gone top 10 to be honest. I know what I’m capable of so I thought top 10 for sure. When the interviews came and the highest anyone ever said I could go was 15, it was a bit of a shock, to be honest.” In truth, there were rumblings of Riggins possibly at 11 Overall but obviously, that didn’t happen. Riggins Rookie season in Mexico City was a very good one for the rookie. +10, 29 goals, 62 assists, 91 points. Anyone could see he was raw but the potential was high. When Warsaw drafted him 13th overall, Riggins made a decision to make his value high and make all the GMs that skipped him take notice. “I went into my second season with something to prove. I had played with a legend din Alex Stroheim. My rookie season was his last in Mexico. He put up 150 points. So when I came back for my second season with Mexico I decided I would fill the Stroheim void.” That he did, he went on a goal-scoring spree finishing top of the VHLM with 65 goals. He added 62 assists for 127 points. He also tallied 7 hat-tricks throughout the season. Not a bad way to follow up a solid rookie season. " I learned a lot in my rookie season. Playing with players that are better than you gives you two choices. 1- Give up trying to be better, because what's the point? or 2 - Push yourself to their level. Yes, it's hard work, and yes it's time-consuming being in the gym longer, on the ice longer, training longer and harder. But in the end, it pays off. You become one of them." In terms of his future and what his goals are, Riggins didn't hold back anything. " If you're playing at this level you have to want to be a Champion. How can you not? You put in all that work, all those hours, it's to be the best you can be and become a Champion. In terms of personal goals. I want to be useful to my team. I want to be the guy they utilize in all situations. If I score a ton, Great. If I'm in a shutdown role, that's fine. " With Riggins embarking on his first season in the VHL, he will have a lot to prove. Warsaw is not a bottom dweller in terms of the league. He will have to find his place and begin to excel at his position. While that hasn't been an issue before, this is probably the biggest jump of his career, bypassing the VHLE completely. Time will tell if Warsaw made the right decision, but if his past is any indication, they made a great one.
