It was very sad to see Cole leave. He was a good teammate and a valued friend. I wish him all the best as he continues forward. That being said, excited to work with another goalie and continue to win some games.  Try fiber one for breakfast in the morning, not only will it keep you regular, but it also tastes real good.  The lines seem to be rolling well. As we get back into a groove, I don't think many teams will be able to touch us.  Look good, feel good, play good. Ryo always has the slickest lettuce on his head, and shows up in some very fashionable suits. The numbers have to agree with him out of honor.  First, everyday I wake up and convince myself that if I don't play well today, I am off the team. Then, I sit in the upper bowl before games to visualize the games. Next, I have a room with thousands of hockey cards taped to the walls and I sit in there and meditate for at least 3 hours a day. If I still feel unfocused, I will sleep in full gear. That normally works, but if all else fails, I drink 5 5-hour energies for 25 continuous hours of energy and use the extra hour in the day to review game film.  I always stuck out a bit because of my height. It has been crazy living in Minnesota where professional hockey players are practically worshiped. I go out of my way to interact with fans, they make the game worth playing. It's sometimes difficult to go out to clubs with friends, because I get recognized. It's not as bad as the star players get it, but I am super approachable and some people overstay their welcome and test my squad's patience. I wouldn't trade it for the world though, because for every one of those minor inconveniences, there are 3-4 situations where you make a young fan's day and that smile makes it all worth while.

Review: LMAO. Honestly, this media spot is absolutely hilarious. Every time Chett makes some weird comment, the interviewer just brushes him off like that crazy grandpa at family reunions. 10/10 interview

    1. Unfortunately I haven't had extensive contact with anyone outside of my teammates, but the interactions I have had were positive.
    2. We got a lot of skilled players on this team that anyone in the VHL would immensely benefit from, but I feel like Chett Bandy ( @mmarcoux98 ) has quietly been a consistent player for us. He's a really solid all-around player and if he works hard he could be a reliable forward for seasons yet to come at the professional level.
    3. You kidding me? He's the Hulkster. The rest of the league should be lucky he's only chosen to utilize just 25% of all the energy he gets from all the Hulkamaniacs.
    4. I'm a team player. If my teammates are thriving, then clearly I am too.
    5. I had a slow start but I feel like I've been picking it up as of late. As I said earlier though, what matters most is the rest of the team is producing at a high volume and we keep climbing the table.
    6. I'd say the Marlins. They're only just ahead of us on the table and we've exchanged wins in two pretty high scoring games. I'm expecting another offensive power struggle when we meet up again pretty soon, so it'll be a good test to see if we can keep the production we've had of late high.

Chett Bandy Sits Down with Tobias Magnus

    Tobias Magnus
“Hey Chett, thanks for taking the time to sit down with me.”
    Chett Bandy
“Thanks for having me Tobias. Great to be here, big fan of the show.”
    Tobias Magnus
“Great to hear. So, you guys got off to a very slow start this year, but have ramped it up as of late. What prompted this reversal?”
    Chett Bandy
“I was a bit worried there at the start, but we pulled it together as of late. Some great signings helped. Also, Coach told us that if we focused on our game, the wins would come, and some of our bigger names stepped up and led by example.”
    Tobias Magnus
“Glad you guys figured it out, switching to you. You have 6 points in 13 games, how do you feel about your production?”
    Chett Bandy
“I am certainly proud of what I have done, but I can and will do better.”
    Tobias Magnus
“6 points is respectable, given that you have 26 hits and only 2 penalty minutes. How are you managing to stay out of the box?”
    Chett Bandy
“Mostly just focus on making every hit clean. What the refs don’t see, can’t hurt them, those corners get nasty.”
    Tobias Magnus
“How does this league compare to your past experiences?”
    Chett Bandy
“Well the refs are a little more lenient, fighting is allowed, and I don’t have to wear a chicken cage anymore.”
    Tobias Magnus
“What’s it like being in Canada?”
    Chett Bandy
“It’s a little colder than I’m used to. OH! I learned the other week, that in addition to being a great hockey player, when people talk Timmy Horton, he’s also a restaurant. “
    Tobias Magnus
“You might be the only person that didn’t know it was a restaurant.”
    Chett Bandy
“We don’t have those down where I’m from!”
    Tobias Magnus
    “How is Mississauga treating you?”
    Chett Bandy
“Fans have been great and very supportive. Tinder’s been a bit dry though haha. Had to learn a little French to read the bios. What’s the secret Tobias?”
    Tobias Magnus
“I wouldn’t know, happily married. How’s the chemistry in the locker room?”
    Chett Bandy
“Everyone gets along great, lot of bonding on and off the ice. Lots of respect in that room, and some really talented players.”
    Tobias Magnus
“So Chett, what is something that very few people know about you?”
    Chett Bandy
“Well not many people know this, but I am an ordained minister.”
    Tobias Magnus
    “What? Really?
    Chett Bandy
“Yeah, uh I am. I was out with the boys in college, had a few too many and woke up the next day with the certificate.”
    Tobias Magnus
“Wow. How many weddings have you had?”
    Chett Bandy
    “Never been married Tobias.”
    Tobias Magnus
“Riiiiiiiight. Moving on then, I heard a rumor that you are living with Scott Greene this season.”
    Chett Bandy
“Yeah, Scott’s been great. I live in his basement. It leaks a lot, but when it gets cold the ground freezes and I can practice. Scott’s probably going to kick me out at some point, I keep intercepting his pizzas as he gets them delivered. I don't think he knows, he keeps calling them to ask where his pizza is.”
    Tobias Magnus
“Sounds like you are fitting in great here in Mississauga. Thanks for taking the time to sit down with me.”
    Chett Bandy
“No problem, thanks for having me Tobias…Big fan.”

    1.       Honestly, I just read every piece of information I could find, and some very helpful veteran members reached out and helped guide me in the right direction. The key for the quik boost is to write a rookie profile and ask for help as you go.
    2.       During my first half hour, everything was a little overwhelming. As I started reading old posts and updates, the site became very easy to navigate. I think for the amount of content on the site, it is easy to navigate now that I have had some time to acquaint myself.
    3.       I have looked around the league, I’d be very excited to play for any of these franchises. I think that no matter where I end up, the chemistry in the room is most important and I would very much like to end up somewhere with a healthy atmosphere.
    4.       I have no issues playing for an expansion team. At the end of the day, it’s about getting that correct group of guys in the locker room. I think it would be a lot of fun to end up on the ground floor of a new franchise. I also think it would be fun to join a franchise with a lot of history. Both have their own unique pressures and fan circumstances. All in all, no matter if I end up on one of the expansion teams, or an existing team, I plan on contributing my best both inside and outside of the locker room. And hey, expansion teams can be very competitive right out of the gate since they have something to prove.
    5.       I’m just hoping to be drafted. Like I said, I’ll play for any team. If I had to guess, probably a later round by a team that is looking for depth.
    6.       Probably goaltender. I played a lot of catcher in baseball growing up, and the skills translate very well. Main reason I ended up on the wing was because I like to be physical.

    1.       I hope to be a difference maker that is known for playing with determination. If I had to define my game, I’d probably say power forward because I like to play physical.
    2.       Obviously, everyone in the league would love to win some championships. I’m no different. Additionally, on a more personal note, I just want to give my all everyday and retire as a player remembered for both his play and his affect on the community.
    3.       Not particularly, it would be great to play for a team that I have had some prior contact with, but all in all, just being given the chance to do what I love means more to me.
    4.       Yes actually, I’m named after a DND character, who is named after a baseball catcher. My parents had a wide range of interests.
    5.       When I was younger, I struggled skating backwards, so my coach forbid me from playing defense. I played a bit of goalie but was always right in the middle of the fights. I got moved to left wing due to my handedness and my teams outstanding center depth.
    6.       I’m just going to go do my job every night and see where it goes. This is a very talented league, and I consider anyone to make it this far to be an outstanding player.

mmarcoux98 got a reaction from Hogan in Rookie Profile: Chett Bandy LW [1/2]
    Name: Chett Bandy
    Height: 6'3"
    Weight: 225 lb.
    Age: 21
    Birthplace: Charlotte, NC, United States
    Position: LW
    Shoots: Left
    Preferred Number: 63

“Bandy plays with a lot of heart, which is his greatest strength and one of his biggest flaws. He puts so much raw emotion into the game that it is not uncommon for him to get caught up in the heat of the moment. I have never met a player that shoulders a loss as personally as him [Bandy]. He is the definition of a ‘get hit, get back up’ player. When we needed something done, he was the only one with who we gave the nod”. (Chuck Zing, Juniors Coach)
    Strengths
Checking: Bandy is not afraid to play the body and is equally comfortable taking hits as he is dishing them out. He excels at being the first man in on a dump and chase. Open ice hits are his specialty; however, his respect for the game seems to prohibit him from playing dirty. Bandy’s physicality is most noticeable when fighting for pucks in the corners and when he changes the pace of the game with crushing open ice hits.
Shooting: Bandy’s name is no stranger to the scorecard. His wrist shot is precise, and his slap shot has the full force of his 6’3”, 225 lb body behind it. An expert in goalie screening and capable of winning net battles, Bandy has experience with deflecting shots in from the point. Bandy may not lead the league in scoring, but he won’t be absent from the leaderboards.
Leadership: Bandy exhibits extraordinary leadership. His extreme natural game sense gives him an edge in the flow of a game. He is generally well liked by coaches and players alike. They recognize him as a problem solver on and off the ice. Additionally, the class he shows has earned him a good reputation among the league’s refs. They know that if he is upset, something is wrong. Bandy prefers to lead by example and not by rousing speeches.
    Weaknesses
Defense: Bandy’s penchant for offense often causes him to neglect his defense. His positioning in the defensive zone needs work, and many a time he turns the puck over due to a questionable pass. In these situations, he is quik to accept the blame. Last man off the ice at every practice, it won’t be long until all that work pays off.
Penalty Shot: Bandy’s brute strength approach works great when there are other players, but unfortunately, does not translate well to penalty shots. His rough puck handling is often met with a laugh from the opposing goalie. Do not underestimate his shot though, it is very solid; but the glaring holes in his shootout strategy leave him as a late round shootout order selection.
Discipline: Naturally, as a player that lives on the edge, Bandy gets rung up a little more than the average player. His passion for the game, and devotion to his team, see him as the second man in on most scrums. Not one to intend to injure, Bandy is not afraid to cross a line to make a point, or sometimes out of frustration. Bandy is quik to stand up for a teammate, and not afraid to exchange fists.
    Conclusion
Bandy brings a lot to the table, from skills, to leadership, to his immense desire to improve. His attitude and hard work make him a player to watch in the upcoming draft. He may go unnoticed by some of the bigger teams, but someone is going to find this gem hidden in the draft.

Looks great! A bit of build advice here: before you go pouring TPE into leadership, know that that attribute won't help you out nearly as much as defense will. Defense helps quite a bit on both ends of the ice--in fact, many VHL elite scorers have defense ratings of 99. It will also (I believe) help your checking game some.
I'd never tell you what you can and can't do, and you have lots of freedom with whatever build you'd like to make. But I think most to all experienced league members would agree with me on this one.
