  1. My last article made last week, I mentioned how close Zach Kisslinger was to beating the franchise record for assists and points and goals. Well, the day has come, Zach Kisslinger who to many was considered a steal in the season 80 draft connected to the 14th pick of the first round. He worked hard staying in line with what the team plans were, and stayed with the team through the highs and lows. Kisslinger was named captain in season 86 after a ton of commitment the player showed and intensity on the ice. Regardless the player is now looking at his new franchise record in assists and points as he will go down in history as one of the greats in Warsaw.  As a lifelong Predator, his dedication to the team is heavier than most, and with that fact the likeliness of his record being broken is slim. Kisslinger is a player that most of the guys in the dressing room looks up to so it is nice to see his records being put in place.

  2. I made a point task going through Warsaw records that were in the process of being broken, and there was one thing I left out, that is the hit category. This is because is has already been broken by the beast that is Zach Kisslinger, and since he’s active, it’s not really on the verge of being broken. Kisslinger will still collect hits, but so will his teammates. While Kisslinger has 1332 hits in 452 games, Brendan Marner is trailing behind with 1209 hits in 380 games. Although it is somewhat unlikely Marner will reach that hit number of Kisslinger to break it, active player Brian Payne who has another season past Kiss and Marner is coming up with a lot of hits himself. Payne currently has 1092 hits in 308 games, so yeah he if he keeps that intensity, he will become the Warsaw hitting leader of all time. The team obviously has crazy players wanting to annihilate anybody in their path so it is no surprise we see so many players with these kind of gritty totals.

  3. Dakota Lamb has been one of the top players in Warsaw history, leading the teams all time points. He will be remembered in history as one of the players to generate the Warsaw team to have a place in the league. With 478 games played and 608 points, there is not much you can complain about when it comes to Dakota Lamb and his time in Warsaw. I would not be talking about this feature in Warsaw if it was not for a reason. Yeah many of you probably guessed, that top point spot is in danger. Currently active player Zach Kisslinger is a measly 11 points off from beating this all stars franchise record. Kisslinger has only 452 games played, but 597 points, making him one of the biggest offensive threats in Warsaw history. This captain has yet to slow down as a result of age, and the likelihood of this record being broken in the next few games is extremely high. Kisslinger has been a franchise player for the team and with the team surrounding him, he is able to keep up his high intensity game play. Although this is one record on the edge of being broken, what other Warsaw records are in threat?

Right now, there is not much in threat of being broken. The franchise goals record is currently held by Chris Reynolds with 271 goals in 504 games, and the next closest active player to this total is Zach Kisslinger again, with 233 goals in 452 games. This record will likely be broken as well, but it will likely be broken in season 88. When it comes to the goals category, a player to watch for is Brendan Marner, he currently has 211 goals in only 380 games, so it will be interesting to see if the record will be lit up by Marner instead.

In the category of assists, the record is the only other statistic on the verge of being broken with Victor Grachev currently holding this record with 370 assists in 484 games. It is once again, surprise, surprise, Zach Kisslinger holding the record hostage. With Kisslingers 452 games played, he has 364 assists, that’s only 6 assists off from the record.

One of the areas that is about to be broken is game winning goals. A weird stat to include here, but it is quite important as this is about Warsaws records on the verge of being broken. As Chris Reynolds is in the lead for game winning goals with 41 in 504 games a player NOT by the name of Zach Kisslinger is running up. Brendan Marner is only a few goals away from breaking this record himself. Brendan Marners game winning goals number is at 38, with only 380 games played, this guy is a player that wants to win, and that he does.

Overall, Warsaw is a newer team, but the records that was thought to stay for some generations to come is now in the process of being broken with ease. The players looking to break these records must remember they will be going down in history for seasons to come.

  4. The Vancouver Wolves has made a remarkable transformation over the past two seasons. In Season 86, the team barely made the playoffs, but went on to win the Cup. In Season 87, the team sits at the top of the standings and is a favorite to win it all again. The team's success is due to several key factors, including a strong sense of chemistry among the players, a commitment to defense, and the impact of the coaching staff. The Vancouver Wolves have been able to control the pace of the game and limit their opponents' scoring opportunities, leading to a more united and efficient team. The coaches have made strategic changes to the lineup and tactics to get the best out of the players, resulting in a more disciplined and structured team. The Vancouver Wolves are now a force to be reckoned with and fans will be watching to see if they can repeat their championship performance.

  5. The Warsaw Predators were once considered a force to be reckoned with. With a roster full of skilled and talented players, it was expected that the team would consistently perform at a high level. Unfortunately, that has not been the case as of late. Despite having a strong lineup, the Warsaw Predators have been struggling to secure victories. One player in particular, Brendan Marner, has taken the losing streak especially hard.

Brendan Marner is known for his intense competitiveness on the ice. He is a player who gives his all in every game and leaves everything out on the ice. So, it came as no surprise when Marner lost it after the most recent defeat. He slammed his stick against the boards breaking it and let out a scream of frustration, expressing the mounting pressure and disappointment he was feeling.

The lack of wins for the Warsaw Predators can be attributed to several factors. One key issue has been a lack of teamwork and solidarity on the ice. Despite having individual players with impressive skills and abilities, the team has not been able to come together and perform as a tightly knitted unit. This has resulted in sloppy play and costly mistakes.

Another factor contributing to the team's struggles has been a lack of discipline and focus. The team has taken too many penalties and has been unable to maintain possession of the puck. This has put a lot of pressure on the defense and has limited the team's offensive opportunities. The coaching staff has been working on addressing these issues in practice, but the results have not yet shown on game day.

Despite the team's difficulties, Brendan Marner remains committed to bringing success to the Warsaw Predators. He knows that winning is a team effort and that it will take everyone on the roster to turn things around. Marner is one of the many leaders on and off the ice, and he is determined to use his passion and drive to motivate his teammates and get the team back on track.

The Warsaw Predators have a long history of success, and it is clear that the current struggles are not something the team or its fans are used to. But, with determination and hard work, there is still hope for a turnaround. The talent is there, and the coaching staff is working tirelessly to find solutions. The fans continue to show their support, and with a little bit of luck, the Warsaw Predators can get back to their winning ways.

In conclusion, the Warsaw Predators have been struggling to secure victories despite having a strong lineup of talented players. Brendan Marner, frustrated by the losing streak, lost it after the most recent defeat. The team has been facing challenges with teamwork, discipline, and focus, but there is still hope for a turnaround. They are clearly in a different spot from last season but with determination and hard work, the Warsaw Predators can get back on track and start winning games again.

  6. 1. How do you feel your player is performing so far in S87?

Im in shock, we have the type of team to go 72-0 but we are LOSING, does that answer your question?

    2. Record is not great, have fallen behind. What can we do to improve our team position?

we need to keep more goals out of our own net, lots of goals against right now, more goals for would help too

    3. When do we need to start worrying about falling behind in the season?

midseason is when panic is REALLY set in

    4. Who has been most surprising so far early in Season 87?

Didn't expect LA up there with their lack of defense.

    5. What's the best Fans Appreciation event?

Im not gonna lie, I have no idea what that means

    6. NHL All Stars. Thoughts on this season's all star selections?

shit as always, its for all stars, should be only the best players in the LEAGUE not on every team. Stupid. Also hate the event, I just wanna see the leafs play, not a bunch of games nobody (including players) don't care about. However I would find it interesting if they put all the bangers and fighters in a game...

  7. It’s a thing, I have hit a big milestone I now have 1500 TPE! I never thought I would have been still in the league, my last player only lasted up to my rookie season in the VHL, then he went off the map. Back then I did not know much about the league and how to get TPE, and now… I have 1500 of them. I am pretty shocked I am still typing random shit with my poor grammar and boring delivery, its interesting, I guess I am dedicated to this forum this time around. I will continue this streak even with the burnout I have been feeling recently, I guess I am too dedicated. Nonetheless, Brendan Marner has more than 1500 TPE and that is more than most other players have EVER gotten, and most will never get to. It feels good to still be here, but man is hard to write weekly.

  8. Well the start of this season has not been friendly to Warsaw and the players here. The team is only winning fifty percent of their games right now, and this is just not enough for the players, and the fans in Warsaw. This might be where VSN wanted to see Warsaw for the past few years, but they have always been wrong about the team. This might be the first year the team actually makes it to the VSN’s small list of correct predictions. The team does not want to be on this list, as one may expect, the team is looking at what is working and what is not. Right now, Zach Kisslinger is the team’s hottest player, on the ice and off. He had a rocky first couple games, but soon came out with a bang for 11 points in only 6 games. The team is looking for more of that intensity, and they are getting it from some, such as Biggie Cheese with 9 points in 6 games as a defenseman, and Brian Payne, 8 points in 6 games as well as a defenseman. Second line center has also looked quite good, Johnny Xavier has 8 points in 6 games himself. The scoring seems to be quite good, they are on the upper end for scoring to this point, but they are nowhere amazing in that category, as two big members are still struggling to get the puck behind the goaltender. Brendan Marner is already having some trouble after getting 5 points in two games, he now only has 2 points in 4 games, this is a big disappointment for the team as he has not pushed to his scoring touch quite yet. Girts is also having a bunch of trouble, with only 4 points in 6 games, this is just not cutting it for the 54 goal scorer last season. The team is really missing the two top players, these guys need to deliver to be competitive for the playoffs. Where they are now, they might not make it either. Goal scoring can definitely be better for the team, they can be higher up with total goals for, but sometimes its hard to outscore your problems, as the team has one glaring issue, defensive breakdowns. The team is high for goals for but has even more goals against right now. The team has had some trouble keeping the puck out of their own net, as Wumbo is having his worst season yet, and the defense is looking for more offensive games, the defensive side of the games is being left wide open for defensive breakdowns. If the team can fix these defensive and goaltending issues then the team can really thrive, even with the lower goal scoring than last year, the team is good for close games. If the team can get tighter on their defensive game then they should be able to get to where they were last season. The biggest hope for Warsaw is to prove VSN wrong just like every other season.

  9. 1. Has the S86 VHL WJC and WC meet your expectations?

NO, I dont know whats going on in it, and I THINK IM PLAYING, I think???

    2. Did you join the S87 VHLF? If so, did you get to draft who you wanted to draft?

No, Girts picked like 2 players I wanted right before me 😂

    3. What are your thoughts toward depreciation and the importance of VHLE moving forward?

E sucks lol, depreciation sucks lol

    4. How lengthy should or would be best for a VHL off season?

2 weeks, one for drafts and such, another for training camp

    5. Who will be our S87 MVP?

Girts, gonna come out with even more goals than S86

    6. In your opinion, how useful are midseason coaching changes? And when during the season is the best time to make the changes?

seems to work against unknowing teams

  10.                 A new season is coming, and new outcomes are inevitable. We can look through some of the teams and rate who will be the winners this season, but I don’t think I am ready to do so yet. I want more time where I can really make a good season start power rankings. However the Warsaw Predators have been making changes that is important for Warsaw to succeed in the playoffs this season.

When asked about the recent trades and signings he was recorded saying, “Its amazing, the team is looking great, and the chemistry is there. Although we are ready, this team is oddly similar to last seasons team, I am not convince the team is going to be much different. Hopefully we can be ready for the playoffs this season, we have been having too much playoff troubles recently.”

Warsaw has an older team right now, Brendan Marner was asked if he’s worried for the future of the team. He responded, “Yeah, I mean the team is older, but the team is only getting better with this age, we don’t seem to need much young talent at the moment. You know I am a little worried about the future of the team, but I am more focused on what is happening right now. I don’t feel overly worried with the golden boy GM in our office right now. Although I am not too worried about the future, I still want to see the team do well, as  I have spent my whole VHL career with Warsaw even past my retirement.”

Marner was then asked about his contract, “I wanted to stay in Warsaw, this team is the only team I knew. This is what inevitably made my decision to stay. I wanted to be the Predator for life, tear the prey apart. I wanted to make sure the team could afford more members so I kept my contract low, and to avoid any potential trades involving me I asked for a no trade clause in it. The team had no problem keeping me for the next 2 seasons for that cheap cost.”

Brendan Marner is still looking to kill the VHL with his point totals and hits as he continues his ventures in the VHL. With Marner centering Kisslinger and Girts, the season upcoming should hopefully be eerily reminiscent of last season, we will need to see if the players will be their selves of the last couple seasons as they have killed the VHL leaderboards.

Overall, Brendan Marner is looking ready for the upcoming season, he is looking to get his second Continental Cup, as his seasons wines down and his opportunities shrinks, the player, and team is really looking to collect all the cups they can get their hands on. Warsaw is looking good this season, I cant say that this team wont do it this season as the team looks and feels better. We will need to see what personal rewards the players on the team might collect as well, but this will be quite difficult to predict.

  11. Brendan Marner is getting older, he has seen a reduction in his game this offseason, but he decided to just put his head down and work. His work ethic really improved this offseason, and teammates have noticed his hard work. Marner wants another cup as he is coming closer and closer to retirement, as well other older members on Warsaw are getting closer to hanging up their skates in only a couple seasons. Marner was seemingly going extra hard on the practice ice though, taking many more shots, looking to increase his scoring, and increasing his defensive and stick handling. He will be looking to be one of the better players in the league again, but he is looking to be a heavier hitting more defensive player to help as the team goes towards the playoffs. After a couple of good past seasons from Brendan Marner, the fans and team is only expecting more, we will need to see if the player take the aging well in the coming seasons.

  12. 1. VHL entry draft, how did we do in S87 VHL entry draft?

Honestly havent been following that this season, but I think we probably did good with our GM picking.

    2. How does the team look so far? Anything we need to change or add?

Its looking good, mostly the same roster with a couple of changed pieces.

    3. World Juniors and World Championship, what are your expectations and whom are you routing for?

    Canada will win no problem

    4. How has your player developed over the seasons? Was it more beneficial to head straight into the VHL or develop in VHLe?

My player has developed well some trouble after the first season, but he's getting better totals now (again)

    5. What are your Season 87 VHL expectations?

Winning it all, just like every season

    6. How is your NHL team doing midway through the season? Why does your team win when you want them to lose and lose then you want them to win? :(

Good actually, I want them to keep winning, but there is honestly no need for them to win so much, I think they are in a good spot for the playoffs

  13. Brendan Marner did not take the loss in the playoffs very well, the team as a whole was pretty upset. The team isn't looking at the past anymore, they want to continue looking at the future. The team does not seem to be worried about the next couple of seasons as most of the team has been locked up for at least 2 more seasons. This has given the team a feeling of security and they are now ready to make a run for the championship. The team is confident that with the right leadership and the right pieces, they will make it to the top. All the players are eager and motivated to make it to the finals and win the championship. This team is determined to rise from their loss in the playoffs and show that they are still a force to be reckoned with.

Brendan Marner, who had been one of the most consistent players on the team's road to the playoffs, has been struggling in the playoffs. He said, "I'm having trouble with my game in the playoffs, it's not like how it is during the season, and that just won't cut it." He knows that he needs to step up his game and that he has a responsibility to help the team make it to the top. His teammates have been uplifting him and showing their trust in his skills, assuring him that if he can perform as he does during the regular season, then they can make it even further.

The future of Warsaw looks bright despite the team's loss last season. With few negotiations needed, the team will be ready and focused for the next few seasons. This season, the team is looking to rebound and return to the playoffs. With a lack of young core players, the future is not so bright for Warsaw, but they will have experienced veterans in the next few seasons.

With only two players not signed after this season, it looks like the team will be ready to make a strong push for the championship. The team has a strong core of veterans and rising stars, giving them a great mix of experience and potential. The leadership offered by these players will surely be a key factor in their success; as they will be able to guide the team in the right direction. With the right mix of talent and chemistry from this experienced core, the team has a real chance to make a run for the championship.

In the end, Warsaw didn't finish strong again, but they will have a couple more shots with the current team, so yes teams should not count them out, they will work hard to win shortly. The team's young core will need to improve eventually, but that is not an issue the team wants to deal with right now, but they will be watching as they complete season 88. Brendan Marner will work on his game more as he starts to lose some skills, and he believes he will have an even better year than last.

  14. 12 minutes ago, Beketov said:

Depreciation is based on the number of seasons you have played at the VHL level, not just your draft season. So because you spent S80 and S81 in the VHLE you are currently entering your 6th VHL season. This means you were depreciated at that level. Still Kicking is, of course, for 7th season depreciation which is why it was denied. You are able to use it next season.

ahh I see thank you, so if someone is in the VHLM/E the whole sim they would not depreciate?

  15. I'm still confused on the depreciation, I thought I was on my 7th season (s80 draftee going into s87), but I was denied for still kicking, and my player depreciated. I asked my team but they are confused on how it works too. Could anyone help me out?

  16. 1. Disappointing early end to the season. What is your opinion on @N0HBDY's first season as GM of the Predators?

It was ok, when we dont make it out of the first round it is most definitely the GMs fault, but we had a good regular season

    2. With the acquisition of Biggie Cheese, we have a nice 1-2 punch on D. Who should we target with the hole left by the Lamb?

gotta find some cheap players, I really cant say a name, I hope some rookies can be brought up maybe.

    3. What should we do with our 2 late-ish 1st round picks?

    trade up lol

    4. What was the most eventful thing that happened to you in 2022?

having 1 semester left in college maybe?

    5. What is our biggest need in free agency/ this off season?

1 forward, and 1 defense with only 2 mill in cap space... good luck!

    6. What are your new year resolutions?

I never really do new year resolutions, they rarely get followed throughout the year anyways

  17. Warsaw is looking amazing with their signings and trades; the team is looking tougher than ever. Who do they still have? The 113 points guy of last season Brendan Marner was recently signed, the playoff intensifier Zach Kisslinger was already locked up, and the 54-goal man himself Girts Galvin was resigned. Keeping this top line was crucial, and they figured out how to keep them together. The new GM also negotiated to resign Payne, keeping this franchise defenseman keep this small defense strong. The team also made a hefty trade to get Biggie Cheese, but was it ever worth it, the player is locked up for another 2 seasons, and will be a big help on that top pairing with Payne. Jeff Buffy signed, as well Sock Money, and Johnny Xavier will be help on the second lines as the team only has 3 defense, and 5 forwards. With Wumbo still signed for another year, it will be an interesting season, and with the team only getting better, will they do it again?

  18. 1. On a scale of 0 to 10, rate the quality of the officiating at the World Juniors.

8, things dont go your way all the time, same with Canada

    2. What VHL team do you feel doesn't get enough respect?

    Warsaw, always considered playoff hopeful

    3. What is your favorite tradition in all of sports?

    playoff beards obviously

    1. What's your Favorite NHL team?

    2. What style player are you making?

    3. Where's your preferred vacation spot?

  19. Well, it’s a new year, as the time passes and many games have now been played, we know team Canada wins the world juniors, but lost in the spangler cup. We also know the HC Ambri-Piotta won the Spangler cup. These games were fun, but there was something a little bit more important going on that day, and that was the VHL Playoffs. Theses playoffs had some big surprises, and crazy results, now that the Wolves, who barely squeaked into the playoffs won, the question remains, they are clearly good in the playoffs, but can they do it in the season since they barely squeezed through? The question will remain until next season, but teams seem to be increasingly scared of them. Overall, the sports through this Christmas and new year break are astonishing, and it was a good break overall. Oh yeah and the soccer world cup happened sometime not too long ago, but who’s following that??
