  1. There was a lot of players in the season 80 draft that has had a phenomenal career with their respective teams. There were some crazy draft steals over in the season 80 draft, so what would the draft look if it was repicked today? As we stand, the players in this draft still have one more year to prove themselves, but many of the third and fourth rounders have already retired, so any retired players will not be in the redraft. Another thing to mention is if the player did not play a single VHL game then the player will not be in the redraft.

Before getting into this, there are 2 retirees that must be mentioned before starting. These 2 players very well could be in the top 15 in the redraft, but without drafting retired players I cannot force them in unfortunately. So special mentions to Armani Calamari who retired in season 85, and David Davis who retired in season 86 (and who could probably be in the top 10, if not top 5 if still playing).

    24. Finn Davis

Finn Davis was drafted 29thoverall, and only played 2 seasons for LA back in season 83 and season 84. With 64 points in 144 games.

    23. Bradley Buzzer

Buzzer was drafted 31stoverall, and played 3 seasons in the VHL, racking up 197 games played 51 points and 289 hits.

    22. James glove dropper

James was drafted 26th overall and played in 360 games with 101 points and 270 hits over the 4 VHL seasons.

    21. Flynn Remy

Drafted 18thoverall Remy played in 5 VHL seasons and collected 248 points in the 432 games as a defenseman.  Also collects a total of 775 blocked shots during his VHL career.

    20. Sting Chameleon

Sting was drafted 23rdoverall and has had a respectable VHL career with 241 points, 435 hits and 695 blocked shots in 360 games.

    19. Florida Man

Florida Man has not been great, with his career collecting his 385 points and 457 hits in 432 games, the 13thoverall pick has not panned out to be as good as believed. However, his consistent play in the VHL shows he might be a real leader in the locker room.

    18. Kyosti Karjalainen

Kyosti was picked 25thoverall and has been good for Moscow, collecting 374 points, and 497 hits in 432 games.

    17. Logan Ablar

Drafted 12thoverall Ablar played in 6 VHL seasons playing in 504 games with 365 points, 524 hits and 637 blocked shots.

    16. Matt Avens

Avens had crazy point and goal totals back in his VHL rookie year, 132 points and 55 goals, but did not win the rookie trophy. This 33rdoverall pick has had an amazing tenor in the VHL with 420 points in 432 games and 465 hits to compliment that. Good steal if you ask me.

    15. Juice Box

Box was drafted 20thoverall and played in 432 games with 299 points as a defenseman. Also adding 584 hits and 901 blocked shots in total.

    14. Kyle Peace

This may hurt a little, but 5thoverall pick Kyle Peace has not panned out like Toronto wanted, with 504 games played, 507 points, and 577 hits, some would say he might be one of the bigger draft flops.

    13. Nils Godlander

Nils was an 11thoverall pick and has had a couple good years in the league, however the player has been extremely inconsistent. With 432 games played, and 477 points and 666 hits he is good, but hard to put higher on this list.

    12. Corey Kitson

Corey has been one of the best defensemen in the league since joining, with 508 points, 580 hits, and 1168 blocked shots in 576 games, he has done a lot for his teams. Drafted 6thoverall he has proven himself but may not have quite been top 6 good.

    11. Ryan Vidot

Ryan has had a decent go on the Dragons, playing 504 games and collecting 536 points. He started in the VHL being a great 2 way forward collecting over 200 blocked shots in those first 2 seasons, but immediately stopped blocking shots after that, I guess it hurt too much. It has been a solid career for this 16thoverall pick.

    10. Alessandro Nano

Nano was picked 8thoverall and is a bit of a two-way defender with 440 points, 1240 hits, and 963 blocked shots in 504 games, he can be trustworthy up and down the ice. I believe the pick to be a bit high considering the production, but it is still good.

    9. Sven Eightnine

Sven has killed the league with his defensive talents, as he is with only 371 points, 1324 hits and 1099 blocked shots make up for it. This 15thoverall pick was right were you want a player like this, deep and dependable.

    8. Matty Fire

Fire has been a driving force in the VHL, picked 2ndoverall and with 646 points, 1157 hits in 576 games, it’s been an amazing ride for Fire, but it’s hard to say if this is the 2nd overall worthy. He impresses, but not as much as one may want to form a high pick like that. With 8 seasons played though, it is an accomplishment.

    7. Saku Kotkakoivu

Saku has been an amazing force in the league, hitting the 613 points in 504 games, and 1416 hits to compliment that more. However, being a 3rdoverall pick, it is hard to say if it was slightly too high, but Saku has been a forceful 2-way forward in the league.

    6. Zach Kisslinger

Zach has no doubt been a heavy producer on Warsaw, hitting franchise records on the young Warsaw franchise. Zach was picked 14thoverall and has collected 652 points and 1536 hits in 504 games. This is a 2-way player that has been very dependable, and I might even say a great steal from that kind of production.

    5. Vinny Detroit

Vinny has been explosive in the VHL, many teams hate playing him, he is good on the puck, but what he really specializes with is laying the body. Vinny has 487 points and 2852 hits in 576 games. The 9th overall selection has really shown what he can do defensively, and it is hard to move a player like this lower on the list when he is an absolute beast.

    4. Oskar Lindbergh

And now we reach the first goalie on the list after 20 other picks. Oscar was picked 4thoverall, right where he should’ve been, it’s hard to move him away for what he has provided for the last 5 seasons. Yes, it is hard to compare goalies with players, but when goaltenders are this consistent, it only makes sense to have them high. Oscar had his first 2 seasons a bit lower than he’d like but fixed himself in the next 5 seasons. Over 7 seasons and 450 games played, Oscar averaged 0.921 save percentage, and 2.79 goals against average. His 214-187-42 record might be meh, but from a mediocre Toronto team he was on for most of his career, that can happen. I always find it hard to judge goalies on wins as hockey is a team sport, but the rest of his stats are amazing, so I think this 4th overall pick is fair.

    3. Hari Singh Nalwa

Hari was picked 10thoverall making him one of the biggest steals in the draft, this is because he is a defense putting up better points than most other players. Hari has 504 games under his belt, with 531 points, 737 hits, and 1175 blocked shots. When he is one of the top defensive point producers every season and can play good defensively too, it is hard to say anything bad about his game, he is one of the best players out of this draft.

    2. Brendan Marner

Oh this might be controversial, and maybe even bias I know, but I think its fair, just hear me out. Brendan Marner was picked 21st overall and had a slow start to his career. He has been one of Warsaws top contributors since he started playing there with only 432 games played, he has 579 points and 1371 hits. This means he’s played less than anyone in my top 12, but only has less points than only 3 people on this entire list, and all of them are in the top 8. In fact, not one person on this list has hit 100+ points in at least 4 seasons in the VHL, Marner did. He can also lay you down with his crazy his in such little game sample size. If Marner was VHL ready back in season 80, or 81, this might not have been a controversial pick, other than me being the one writing this… But yeah I would consider this the biggest hit in the draft, picked 21stoverall with this amazing career.

    1. Xavier Booberry

I would be shocked is Booberry was not number one in other lists, the goaltender is just too good. Booberry was picked 1stoverall, keeping him right where he belongs with his 8 seasons, 456 games played, 0.925 save percentage, and 2.68 goals against average. He has a 240-163-41 which is quite good as well. It is also worth mentioning that he had only 1 bad seasons as his rookie year with an 0.909 save percentage, and his next season was only okay considering what he did the rest of his career. Booberry is the best goalie around right now, and franchise players should go here, right where they belong, 1st overall.

What do you think of the picks? Is there anything you would change? What is your season 80 redraft order?

    1600+ words

  2. What do we players do as we wait for the VHL season to begin again? Well watch as the GMs are doing a lot of work on their team, and looking to find some diamonds in the ruff in the upcoming daft. Not only that, but the teams are also looking to resign ufa and rfa players and sign available free agents. That’s exactly what Warsaw GM N0BDY is doing, it started off with the callup of Tim Riggins, and the free agent signing of Calix Pearce. The team had a lot of its players locked up in season 88 so there was not much worry on losing some of their top players. One player that has been in Warsaw for some time is Wumbo, and this season he was not re-signed for the team’s ability to trade for and sign top goaltender Cole Pearce. This team is looking way more deadly than last season with that trade and recent signings, and the team still has 2 million dollars to sign a fourth defense if that is what is desired.

  3. 1. What is your proudest academic achievement? (can be anything! I'd even include a good grade in wood tech!)

Graduating, I haven't yet, but in a month that will be my most absolute biggest achievement academically.

    2. What has been your favorite place to travel to and where would you like to go in the future?

I haven't travelled much, although I'm planning on a Vegas trip very soon. I did go to Mexico at one point and that was real fun.

    3. How did you get into the VHL? Is there a cool story or did you just stumble across it like me?

I just looked up "online be a pro" when I was younger, then found this. I remember not realizing it was a forum like this for a bit.

    1. What does your player do in the offseason?

    2. What has your biggest achievement been in the VHL, VHLE, or VHLM

    3. What's your favourite VHL team other than the one you are on?

  4. Who is going to win the Brett Slobodzian trophy? It has been an extremely close voting where Brendan Marner and Daniel Janser started off flip flopping with first place, but that quickly fizzled as people really analyzed the stats. The goaltender Brandt Fur had one of the better seasons for goalies this season, however it was pointed out that Fur tie other goalies with the best save percentage and was close with goals against average. Brendan Marner had 111 points, 2 more than Janser, but 1 less goal. What I believe pushed Marner to his current place in first is the number of hits he threw, 241 to be exact. With regards to Sirdsvaldis Miglaskems, he got a crazy 54 goals, and 105 points, I really don’t think he got enough credit for what he did this season. And of course, Pierre Emile Bouchard, he was like the 2 way defenseman picked, with nearly 200 hits, and 200 shots blocked, but with 88 points in total. I think this was underrated defense this season. Regardless of that, my personal rankings are:

    1.       Brendan Marner

    2.       Brandt Fuhr

    3.       Sirdsvaldis Miglaskems

    4.       Daniel Janser

    5.       Pierre Emile Bouchard

  5. With the end of another season, I need to congratulate the new continental champion, Calgary Wranglers. Unrelated to that, this season is going to be the most important season for Warsaw, as they have 2 of their best players, Brendan Marner and Zach Kisslinger, retiring at the end of the season. This needs to be the year they collect another continental cup, as they team will need some big retooling these coming seasons.

Warsaw will have a good team without Brendan Marner, and Zach Kisslinger as players like Girts Galvin, and Brian Payne are still on the team, however the lack of leadership from the two veterans will be seen in the dressing room. Brendan Marner is the Alternate Captain which will leave a spot to open for some new player to fill, and Zach Kisslinger is the captain, which is an even bigger role to fill! Missing these two players are going to hurt the core and the question will be, where do they end up after the departure?

Brendan Marner and Zach Kissligner have been real Warsaw veterans both being picked later in the season 80 draft. Zach Kisslinger was a first round pick, but being picked 14th overall, this was an amazing pick as he (so far) has played 6 seasons in the VHL for Warsaw, with 504 games played (tied franchise record), 254 goals, 652 points (franchise record), and 1536 hits (franchise record). With all these records, and spending his career in Warsaw, this 14th overall pick was one hell of a steal on ex-GM Dlambs part. Brendan Marner has had a very similar outcome, the only difference being that he was picked 21st overall, and was a bit of a late bloomer. Kisslinger started his VHL career in season 81, but Marner started in season 82, and hes been amazing ever since. With his 5 VHL seasons on Warsaw (so far) he has 432 games played, 244 goals, 579 points, and 1371 hits. He as well was an amazing pick found in the rough by ex-GM Dlamb. Through many redrafts nowadays, Brendan Marner and Zach Kisslinger would easily go top 10, some might even argue top 5 of the dedication to their own team.

These two players gave everything for the team in Warsaw, but they only brought home 1 cup, so the win needs to come to show the legacy these two players brought to Warsaw. One season is left for them, and they are getting ready to play better than they’ve ever played. They are going to go down in history as two of the best players in Warsaw history, and deservedly so. Kisslinger is already having some of his records tested by Marner, its hard to say if it will turn to anything, but 2 active players fighting for the same franchise record shows how good these players are. Regardless of the outcome of the records, this will likely go down as one of, if not the best same draft class duo in VHL history.

  6. 1. What are some effective ways to maintain a healthy work-life balance, especially for individuals with demanding careers?

Staying active, and staying busy makes everything meaningful and faster.

    2. How has technology impacted the way people connect and communicate with each other, both positively and negatively?

its way easier to communicate overall, but the cons are hate you might get.

    3. What's your go-to comfort food after a long day?

    probably pizza

    1. How did you feel about the outcome of the finals?

    2. Are you under contract this season? If so, how do you feel about your teams chances? If not, who do you want to sign to?

    3. Are you excited for the upcoming draft? How do you think it will go?

  7. With the Crazy season the European conference had, it was no match compared to the runner up for the victory cup Calgary Wranglers. Calgary came second overall on the season, and now the only team alive in the playoffs. Congrats to the Wranglers, the fight was not as close as the league would have thought. A lot of people told me that the European division was most definitely going to win, and some even mentions they would be mad if it didn’t go to the extremely deep European division. Obviously, that wasn’t the case, and my guess is that those people are now screaming in the abyss. However, one of the few teams from North America that actually deserved to be in the playoffs won.

To recap what happened in the finals, it is important to know the series was taken in 5, it was not nearly as close as I would have thought, Calgary easily won 4-1. But lets look at each game in order, starting with game 1: The game started out strong for HC as James Teekirque scored early in the first. Later in that period saw Daniel Janser score on the powerplay with only 1 minute left in the first period. In the second period HC didn’t want like being behind so they got a quick goal from Mason Jones 24 seconds into the period. The next goal was scored in the third period by Siyan Yasilievich of HC early in the period while on the powerplay. Now down by two, Daniel Janser wanted a comeback so he scored half way through the period while on the powerplay. Sax Justice scored with 50 seconds left in the period for a last minute tie game, 3 to 3. However, HC finished the game with an overtime win from Alfred Champagne.

In game 2, it was quite honestly was a blowout, with 4 goals scored by Calgary in the first by Landon Wolanin (twice), AirRig GoodBrandSun, and Leandro Goncalves. The second period saw 2 goals scored by HC by Pete Mitchell, and Florida Man. And finally in the third period AirRig GoodBrandSun scored for Calgary again to make the game 5 to 2.

Game 3 saw HCs Florida Man get a powerplay goal 46 seconds left in the first. The second saw Calgary get a shorthanded goal by Leandro Goncalves, then Lloyd Braun gets one to put Calgary up by one. Jake Thunder was the next scorer in the second for HC to tie the game again from a powerplay. The third saw 3 more goals, all on the powerplay, from Calgarys Leandro Goncalves, HCs Florida Man, and Landon Wolanin. With that Calgary won 4 to 3.

In game 4 we saw a lot of back and forth where the

first goal was scored in the second by Mason Jones, quick in the period for HC. Then Phil Strasmore scores quickly after that to make it tied not long after the first goal and on the powerplay for Calgary. The third saw Calgarys Landon Wolanin score early, but Jake Thunder of HC quickly tied it back up while on the powerplay. Overtime is where it went and AirRig GoodBrandSun scored a powerplay goal for Calgarys win.

Game 5 was low scoring, but interesting. The first goal was scored by Sax Justice of Calgary early in the second period. The next goal was scored with only 2:15 left in the third which saw HC tie the game, however Calgary would score only 29 seconds later by Larry Abass Jr to win the game 2 to 1 in a tight and exciting game.

That would be it, Calgary wins 4-1 in the series that won them the continental cup!

  8. Brendan Marner had another amazing year, it started off with a bang, and ended just as good. Although he lost the goals lead on the season, he toped the league in point this season, after 3 seasons of being in the shadow of the leader. Brendan Marner will be getting ready for next season, but not before admiring these recent accomplishments. He’s never been one to care for personal trophies, but the feeling is still pretty cool for a guy who’s never won a personal trophy. Warsaws playoffs ended before it even started, with the poor play, it was a real let down for the team and Marner as for his second last season, was expecting to go on a deep playoff run. However Marner is on the last season before retirement and on a 1 year no movement clause in Warsaw he is expecting big outcomes. He would like to collect one more Championship win, so he will be working extra hard to make it.

  9. 1 - How's the weather where you are? We were supposed to get up to 16" of snow and got like 2.5", but schools were closed in anticipation.

Its pretty good here, we are just breaking above freezing now so its nice out now.

2 - I made a garlic white pizza for dinner. What's your favorite pizza style/topping assortment?

Garlic? interesting, should make it like garlic bread with cheese. I like BBQ chicken the most, also put that cheese in the crust, its yummy.

3 - How disappointed are you that Seattle didn't move on to the Cup Finals? I know I am...

I'm happy, I don't like Seattle, but I hate all my opponents, Warsaw #1.

1 - Calgary vs HC, who wins the finals?

2 - Who is the playoff MVP at this point in your mind?

3 - Is there a meaning behind your players name? what is it?

  10. 1. We have fallen behind and out of a playoff spot. Who will step up and bring us to the post season?

Our captain has is a great guy giving us the encouragement we need, that's the pick I want

    2. What is your overall thoughts on how the season has gone for the team as we enter the final stretch of S87?

honesty, thought we would do so much better, not just a qualifier

    3. How has your player produced and progressed so far in S87?

Insane, I just wish I got the scoring title too

    4. How eventful has the trade deadline been in S87?

Well we didn't add enough obviously, I'd say a backup goaltender would be needed

    5. Do we need to look at retooling or rebuilding if we miss the playoffs this season?

considering we were that close, and the division was that close, we probably just need to add a little bit to win

    6. Your thoughts on those recent pre-trade deadline NHL trades?

The trades were insane!! What did I say last week?!?

    \

  11.  This was one hell of a season in Europe, the teams fought for their lives and it just wasn’t enough for a couple unfortunate teams. The race was close, and the games were closer as the season came to an end. The qualifiers started yesterday, and we already have results. People knew the matchups in North America for a while as the weaker division showed.

The North America division ended with 3 teams over 90 points and with that, 1 team over 100 points. There was not much competition in that division as the teams not in the top 3 had 75 points this season, or less. The comparison between the North American division and the European division shows as the only team in Europe with less that 75 points… scratch that, in fact the only team in Europe with under 81 points is Helsinki. This just showed the weakness in the North American division and the strength in Europe in the VHL. However people cannot count out Calgary who were beasts last year, and considered the favorites to win it all, Vancouver who won it last season, and now in first this season, and also Los Angeles who have a lot of up and coming players this season.

Well this is tough, but in Europe 3 teams have 37 wins, Riga with 84 points, Warsaw with 83 points and London 83 points. London missed the playoffs by a measly tie breaker, Prague who had 38 wins, missed as well from lack of overtime loses, as they had 81 points. The last place team in the division, and in the league is Helsinki, and they didn’t even try to win with only 13 wins and 37 points. In Europe 7 teams had more than 80 points in the end, and with those teams the 7th place was only 11 points away from the 1st place team in the division. Honestly it still shocks me how close this division was, this was crazy.

We have the qualifiers right now, and with the Seattle Bears taking on The Chicago Phoenix, the games and the series is close. The series is tied 2-2, and with only one game left, we will see who the lucky team is to move on when that last game happens tomorrow. Warsaw Predators, and the Riga Reign was just no match. Riga showed how much they wanted to move on in this easy defeat as they make the first sweep and sweepout Warsaw 3-0 in the series.

This the season was insane, with teams making the playoffs that probably shouldn’t, and others missing it that probably should be playing, the close games, and hard-fought wars made this season more interesting than the rest. With the amazing teams that we see now, the real question is, who will take the cup home? I really couldn’t say considering how this season went in general, but in my opinion whoever makes the finals from Europe deserves the win, this division is just too hard.

  12. Here we are in the playoffs, Warsaw just made it by a tiebreaker, the season was just that close. The team was nervous going in, but we got it, we got the win to take us to move on, and with the first qualifying matches tonight, we need to be ready for the playoff hockey that is coming.

As I am writing this, I got word that the games have now been played, and things are looking down. The team is really struggling right now, as we are going 0-2. Warsaw needs to win tomorrows matches to stay in, if not, their season will be done earlier than its been since season 82. This is a bad spot, but with a high scoring team, they can most definitely take this back to win it, but they need a perfect next 3 games. As we wait, Warsaw is doing a lot of drills setup by the coach as they need to be ready against this team.

  13. What is happening to Warsaw? At one point they were 2nd in Europe, and heading nowhere up, but now they are 2nd last in Europe and only doing worse from here. Is it time for Warsaw to panic? Is it time for a rebuild? The team had 2 players that nobody was able to reach no too long ago, now they are trailing in the points race. Will Warsaw even make the playoffs this season? These are a lot of questions, and a lot of people have been asking them.

The Warsaw team has been really struggling lately, and being 4 points out of a playoff spot, this team is not looking confident, they really need another good push before the end of the season. One issue that has been pointed out is that Warsaw is playing down a game, and has been for quite some time, but without the team only 1 game off of the rest of the league, this could only give them 2 points at most, that still wont put them in a playoff spot. The team simply needs to play better, and with only 7 points away from 2nd in Europe, the chance that the they can get there again is only 4 wins. This conference is extremely close with only a few points separating every team, so some worry will need to be there, but panic? No. However, they must also pick up their game intensity as the playoffs will need that team that’s on fire to really win.

2 Warsaw players, Biggie Cheese, and Brendan Marner were well above any other player in the league with points overall for Brendan Marner being upwards to 10 points ahead and defensive points for Biggie Cheese, and in Brendan Marners case, league leader in goals too. The 2 players seemed unstoppable, up until the games stopped going their way. Brendan Marner stopped producing goals and Biggie Cheese slowed as well, this allowed the rest of the league to catch up to their point totals, and to over take them. The 2 players were very upset by it and made another push to overtake the point leads again. Brendan Marner is still trailing in the point category and dropped big time in the goals category, but Biggie Cheese came out and took that number one spot in front of all other defense once more, well at least tied it. If these two players can find their flare again, we might see the wins start up once again.

The last 2 questions are, will Warsaw make the playoffs, and that is simply impossible to say. The team is not playing well, but with the close race in Europe anything could happen. Remember the team has some of the best players in the league so it would be a surprise if they did skip out on it. The second question is, are they a rebuild team, and the answer is simple, no. Europe is the toughest conference and most teams that really should make the playoffs might actually miss. With the talent Warsaw has, they cannot be considered a rebuild until at least the end of the Marner and Kisslinger Saga.

  14. Wow I didn’t even realize but Brendan Marner is in the all time leaders for TPE (top 25). This is insane, I wouldn’t have guessed I would be in this position when I created the player, but I kept up with my updates and here I am. This might not last, with every player now allowed to play an extra season, this might still be little from the top 25 all time leaderboards. But we will need to see what happens as we get more players complete their eighth season, and all I can do is hope that Brendan Marner gets put down in history for at least some time. Brendan Marner is probably not going in the hall of fame without the personal trophies on his shelf, but that is ok, if he wins more team trophies like the continental cup, he will feel success. This TPE feat is really cool, but what matters in the end is continental cups, so let’s see more. And one more thing for Brendan Marner, Warsaw for life.

  15. 1. Trade deadline is right around the corner, what are you hoping to happen in S87 trade deadline?

I do wonder if getting another goalie for a one, two punch would help rest Wumbo a little more.

    2. European Conference is very tight with basically every team but 2 fighting for 2 + 2 spots. Who do you feel will make up seats 2, 3 and wildcards?

This is a scary situation we are in, we CANNOT miss the playoffs, the team is too good to lose this.

    3. What can we do to help improve the team for the final stretch of the season?

I think what the team really needs is a party night where we all go to the strip club and entertain some people.

    4. How many of our teammates will end the season ppg?

Im thinking 6 players will end with a point per game.

    5. Who's been your player's biggest rival?

Daniel Jansen, ahead of me now in points AND goals... This isnt the first time I lost this battle.

    6. NHL trade deadline is also right around the corner, how busy do you think the trade deadline will be this year?

I think this will be one of the busier years at the deadline. Tampa always adds a little something, Teams who should have sold seasons ago are now selling, and teams with the GM on his last year of his contract... Dubas, will really need to show up in the playoffs to keep their job probably. The deadline is already hot, and some teams are tanking, and others are taking advantage of that.

  16. Everyone is talking about big rivalries, there is not much of a bigger rivalry than what we have with Moscow. The team has a rivalry with every other team in the league. The Moscow Menace is a team that has had a lot of trouble in the playoffs, coming close in recent seasons, but not getting the deed done. Moscow has won a cup previously in season 70, but with that being 17 seasons ago, they are 3 generations late for another cup. Moscow has come close and has a good team for quite some time, in fact they have not missed the playoffs since season 80, but they just cannot get it done. However, that is not all, Moscow has also made the conference from season 80 to season 85, that didn’t do much when it really mattered though. Seasons 80, 81, 82, 83, 85 seen Moscow reach the finals, but again, there was no trophy placed in their hands.

So yes Moscow's biggest rivalry is everyone in the playoffs after that first round. But one of their hated teams to play in the playoffs is Vancouver. The Vancouver Wolves have beat Moscow 3 times of the teams 5 finals appearances. So yes, there is some heated battles in games against each other.

Another team that Moscow has problems with is Warsaw, as they have defeated this none cup winning teams for quiet some time. Warsaw won 1 cup recently, and that was after Warsaw beat Moscow in the conference finals. Moscow fans probably thought if they were to have just beaten Warsaw, that would have been there year at that point.

Warsaw and Vancouver seemingly meet Moscow at some point in the playoffs all the time, so there is no surprise when then teams and players mention that, and share their displeasure with each other. However, Moscow has been a powerhouse since season 80, and that fact that they have still yet to win a continental cup is crazy. Moscow has a good team, and they will likely be one of the frontrunners for the near future when it comes to playoff chatter.

There is only 7 teams with 1 or 0 continental cups, and Moscow Menace is one of them. Although there is not much to be ashamed of since they are still pretty new, both Malmo and Warsaw have more continental cups them Moscow, despite being newer to the league. Overall the rivalries in Moscow run deep in the dressing room, and whether or not these playoff history is affecting them mentally, is unknown, but may be a factor. The team should be much better on but without getting over that hump, they will never win. They are good, and they have been good, the only thing they have left to do is win, and that feat will not come easy, especially with the competition surrounding them. With only 1 cup in 21 seasons, it will be interesting to see what the team brings to the table in the upcoming playoffs.

  17. Recap 389:

The rematch of the day, Los Angles versus Vancouver. The Stars started the scoring early with Sunglasses Joyo getting a quicky, but the Wolves, being the best team in the league they are, responded with a goal from Wann Kerr. The second period only saw LA collect a goal from Callum Murray. The third period was Sunglasses Joyo collect another early goal for LA. However the Wolves cameback with a bang as Nezuko and Svatopluk Puk both got a goal for the Wolves tieing the game up at 3-3. With nothing done in OT, the shootout was called upon. Only 1 goal was score in the Shootout with DB II scoring it for the Stars to give the win at 3-4 in Shootout.

  18. 1. Is there a team you haven't scored against yet?

Funny Question, after looking through each team, I've scored on every team, except the team I play for this season, its been a good season for my Marner

    2. How well has your player evolved or molded since the M?

I've grown a lot, I wasn't expecting still collecting what I am at this point in the league, and Maybe I will grab some trophies soon

    3. What show are you currently binging?

Nothing at the moment, I was binging F is for Family before going back to school (and going back to gaming) and rather focusing on that

    1. Its a close race in Europe, who do you think has the best team that will take the top spot in that conference?

    2. What team or player is your biggest rivalry? (to align with our theme week)

    3. Are you doing any fantasy leagues recently? If so, how are you doing or how well did you do?

  19. The European division is very close, these teams are all fighting for a playoff spot, except Helsinki. Of the 8 teams, there are 7 that are within 12 points of each other. This is so close that the top team and bottom teams of these 7 can literally swap places. The top team in Europe, the Moscow Menace, has been on a roll the last 5 games, and is now on a 5 game winning streak, making the team pull ahead, slowly, but surely from the competition. In the end only 5 of the 8 teams will actually make the playoffs, so it will really depend on who wants it more. With the upcoming trade deadline, the European teams will probably make a big push for trades, and look for that missing piece to bring them over the edge. The teams are working hard, but the GM’s will need to work harder to see the results everyone on the team is looking for.

  20. 1. Biggie Cheese is having a tremendous season so far, especially with how poorly we have been playing. Could Cheese keep up this amazing pace? Where would Cheese end in production at season end?

If Biggie Cheese keeps this up, he's going to carry us to the playoffs

    2. We're in 5th but also only 4 points out from 1st in the European Conference. What are your thoughts toward how we could takeover our conference?

Score more, Id usually say defense, but I see us as more of an offensive team this season especially

    3. Currently we have 4 PPG players, which is less than previous seasons. How many players do you feel we will have reach ppg status at season end?

more, we are already at 5, and I see 2 more guys coming up to a point a game. The team has become much more offensive this season, so we should have at least 6 ppg players

    4. What is the difference this season compare to last few seasons that have been a cause for concern?

The defense isn't there, we are letting in more goals, but we are scoring like crazy so we are getting wins from that

    5. We don't have a 1st round pick for S88 draft. Do we need one?

No, we will be competitive next season as well, but after that Warsaw will lose Kiss and Marner so watch out there

    6. How did you like the NHL All Star weekend?

They should get rid of it so I can watch something more fun and meaningful. No I did not watch it. It was especially a cringe show this season.

  21. The team in Warsaw is looking very different than last season. The team is scoring like crazy, although this might not sound different compared to last season, they didn’t score nearly this much. Instead, they were slightly more defensive minded, as they could keep a lot more pucks out of the net. The team is not playing as defensive as last season, and it hasn’t worked out very well, however the team is really starting to bring out the offense with recent huge wins.

Its hard to blame goaltending though with Wumbo having a save percentage of 0.916. This would be lower than previous seasons, but how much is a goaltender meant to stand on his head before the team realizes it is not his fault. The team is seemingly bad defensively, after acquiring Cheese and letting go one of the stay-at-home defensemen, it was clear the team wanted more offense. This can work, but you must not leave your goaltender out to dry in the process.

Though, the offense has been amazing, so much so that of the teams 9 players of offense and defense, there are only 4 players who do NOT have a point a game. With that being said, only 2 players with less than 20 points in the 30 games played. The big names that come up for scoring is Galvin Girts who was expected to continue his shredding of this league and showed with his 37 points in 30 games. Zach Kisslinger II who recently and unsurprisingly broke a couple of franchise records for total points and assists has 39 points on this season so far. A couple other players that are very notable is Biggie Cheese who is leading the league in defensive points with 43 in only 30 games, and of course Brendan Marner who has now taken over the first place in points and goals in the league as he is going off with 51 points and 24 goals in only 30 games. I think it is important to understand that these crazy point totals are also coming from a team that is down a game to most other teams.

Warsaw is looking weaker than last season, but they are still in a playoff position with the teams in Europe seemingly weaker than the teams in North America. Warsaw is 2nd in Europe but 5th in the league right now, so the team doesn’t seem crazy worried about the record so long as they are in the top in the European division. But with Warsaw being tied in 2nd with 4 other teams there must be some worry if there’s none, they do have a game at hand compared to some opponents, but the team must keep its most recent winning track.

The team in Warsaw is looking much different than the one they ran with last season, with a much different approach this season. The team is looking at another playoff run and so long as they keep winning, they can expect great things.
