Daryl Dixon hails from the Northern Mountains of Georgia where hockey is not very common. He grew up in an abusive family, full of alcoholics. This forced Daryl to grow up as a lone wolf. He became an expert tracker and hunter which served well during his later post apocalyptic days. These are the days where he truly learned what family meant.
Daryl Met Rick Grimes on the outskirts of Atlanta, Georgia. The apocalypse was in full force as “Walkers” had taken over Atlanta and had appeared to sweep across the nation. Daryl was apart of a small group of people trying to survive outside of the city. Rick came along later after waking up from a coma to find himself in a totally different world.
This was the beginning of a long and painful journey for these two people as they lost loved ones along the way and were faced with many difficult decisions that change the nature of one’s self. One of those decisions was to play hockey. Why would two guys from Georgia, who’ve been through so much messed up sh*t ever want to play hockey? Because why the f*ck not.
At the tender age of 38 these grizzled vets slapped on a pair of rollerblades for the first time. They would play pick up hockey in Alexandria daily, until Rick was taken away by the Civic Republic. Daryl struggled with the loss of his brother Rick but one of the things he held on too were the memories of them playing hockey together.
Daryl practiced every day, he eventually took his talents to the ice and built a team of Alexandrian’s. They would face off against other communities such as the Commonwealth. Daryl Dixon was a legend amongst all of the communities.
A few years down the road Daryl heard of the VHL. His talents were too great for his post apocalyptic communities so he took them to the VHL. This was an important decision because little did he know that he would be reunited with his brother Rick who was also tearing it up at the rinks of the CRM.
The two of them plan to join forces yet again. They’ll hack and slash their way to the top as if they were working their way through a horde of Walkers. Where one goes the other will follow and yes that is a warning for any GMs who plan to select one or both of these players in the near future!
