Ben Storm on Halifax’s disappointing season opening Reporter: “Recently the team has been struggling are you confident in the team’s ability to rebound?” Storm: “I have the upmost respect for this team and the staff here, I fully trust that we will be able to right the ship and get back to a level of play that we should bring to the ice. Except us to come with more effort and energy in this next few games.” Reporter: “How would you say your level of play has contributed to the team’s performance?” Storm: “Honestly my level of play has been absolutely abysmal, I take a lot of the blame for the teams slow start. I am supposed to be the star player for this team and I haven’t been producing at the level I need to be. My goal coming into this season was to lead the league in goals and right now I am not even in the top 10. I promise you my level of play will increase and Halifax as a team will rise above where we are now.

1. How do you feel about your performance this last season? A: I was happy with it but I feel like I only showed a very small amounts of what I can do. 2. What aspect of your game will you be working on the most this offseason? A: I think my posting and skating have been what I have worked on the most. 3. If you are staying in the VHLM and are staying with your team, What do you think of your teams chances next season? A: Staying with Halifax, the ceiling is the cup. No excuses. 4. If you are going to be drafted and play in the VHL, which team do you hope drafts you? A: *Nervously answers after draft* Definitely Riga 5. What kind of player do you want to be? A: I'm a scorer I want to be the player that scores the most goals and my highlights blow up on the internet. 6. What do you bring to a VHL team? A: Definitely some elite scoring, I'm not ready yet but the VHL better look out for when I am.

So you wouldn't recommend a Blood on the Clocktower game where everyone has abilities? Perse we had a 15 person game, how many would you say should have roles?

@Berocka This is my formal apology, I am sorry for using our combined heritage to manipulate you. Although this game we were enemies I wish that in future games the Australian Alliance can be more then just a farce. To everybody else I has great fun, hope we do it again sometime.

During the offseason Ben had some reflecting to do. When he came into the league, he had one goal: Win the cup. But he had never given thought to what happens if he doesn’t win the cup and now, he stood reflecting. Melbourne two years ago Ben Strom played for the Northern Suburbs Lancers in the Melbourne Victory Hockey League. He had just lost the first two playoff games of his career; he was the last player on the ice unable to grasp the magnitude of the situation. He stood there until his coach came up to him and asked “Ben what is it you want to do?” Ben replied “Stay on the ice, I want to be on the ice for the longest. I want to win.” The coach smiled took his puck and said “Well get home and prove you want to stay on the ice tomorrow.” Prove ben did, he came into this game like a man deranged over the next three straight wins to win the series Ben scored from all angles. So now he stood, he was unable to stay on the ice the longest. That enraged Ben he swore that he would be the one to Stay On The Ice The Longest.

1. Is there any team that you hate to play against in this league? A: I don't think you can come at it like that, the competitor in me wants to be every team on a given night. 2. How is your offseason training regimen going so far? Anything you are specifically focusing on? A: Not anything I am focusing on just becoming the best all around player I can be. 3. Are there any other sports that you are particularly good at? Did you ever think of trying to go pro in anything else? A: I am actually pretty good at basketball, maybe in another life.... 4. If you are out at the bar with some friends or teammates what is your drink of choice? A: I don't drink, I promised mum when I moved away I would focus only on hockey. 5. After a solid season that ended with some playoff disappointment what are your realistic expectations for the team next year? A: Everyday better then yesterday, we are going to make a deeper push after an excellent season . 6. Any particular hole you would like to see addressed in the draft? A: No, just improving the team's overall talent levels.
