  1. 1. Really it's just to relax, keep in shape and all but making sure your mentally ready for the next season is important. 2. The blue line. 3. Maloish or Burns 4. Play hard and see you on the ice! 5. To quote a certain someone "unfinished business" 6. Sadly I never pay attention to it, so no DX (rl has been hectic to so there's that.)
  2. For many newer viewers of the VHL, they may have no idea who Jaxx Hextall is and what is career was like. He's been retired from the VHL for sometime now after playing seven seasons in the league and headed over to the NHL. He's been living out his dream of playing for his favorite childhood team, the San Jose Sharks. To give a quick rundown of his career he started out playing for the Halifax 21st when he was 17, he took over as the starter and played 32 games in the second half of the season and the team would make it to the second round in the playoffs where they would get swept aside by the titan that was Saskatoon at the time. Next season he was a steal of a draft pick for the Minnesota Storm who have since relocated to Oslo. He'd pile up a record of 61-8-3 with a .899 save percentage, 2.09 goals against and earned 10 shutouts. In the post season the team went all the way to the finals and won it all. In the VHL he played his entire career with the Toronto Legion, being the starter from season 71 to season 77. Playing 454 games and getting a record of 210-182-48, he secured 21 shutouts and had career save percentage of .918 and GAA of 2.97. Sadly his VHLM playoff success never carried over to the VHL postseason, Toronto Legion only made it three times during his time there. Season 72 Jaxx made all seven starts but the Legion would ultimately fall to the Lafontaine lead Calgary Wranglers. Two seasons later Toronto would make their best run, making it to round to after beating Seattle 4-1 they would face their other Canadian team rival, the Vancouver Wolves. Sadly it was a heartbreaking game seven loss and Vancouver, leading by goaltending friend and rival Jimmy Spyro would win it all. Hextall Would have to wait for his lat season to be back in the playoffs again, a rematch with the Seattle Bears. The Bears got their revenge in a 4-2 series win over the Legion, ending Hextall's time in the VHL. Now he's been playing for the Sharks since he was 26 years old, he'll be 32 by the start of next season and says he has no plans for retirement. "I feel I have a lot left in me to give, I feel like I could still play for another 10 years, sure it may not be as a starter for all ten but I still wanna be around. I was pretty sad when I heard Lafontaine was retiring, we had some great battles, not just in the VHL but here in the NHL as well. We both played in the pacific so we saw each other a fair bit, if you're ever ever thinking about making a comeback bud, I would like to do battle once again." He would go on to add "Me and the guys still hang out every once in a while, maybe another go-kart race or getting some food together, maybe we go see a movie together. Having Lafontaine and Spyro as friends is great!" (word count 531)
  3. You ever start typing out a article and than check the word count and decide to use it as media spot instead? You know because you still need one? Well that's what happened to me. I was writing about Hexy, my first player but when I checked the word count at 346 I decided it'd be easier to just add some more in there and turn it into a media spot and than just come up with something else for my article, so here I am, rambling. I was thinking about talking about something deeper, the lack of motivation I've been struggling with for a while. I've been max capping for over a year now I'm pretty sure, I know I did it for most of Hextall's seasons and I haven't missed one so far with Ori five seasons into his career. I keep telling myself I can last another three seasons but the more I think about it the more I realize just how long that could be. Problem is I didn't start banking till part way through season 83, currently I have 72 TPE banked for depreciation, which happen tomorrow. I figure I'll mostly tank whatever hit I take for my first time. But because I've putting in TPE for such a long time, also acting like I'll be max capping I worry it would hurt more in Ori's second last or last season if how much I'm earning really slows down. Well I've hit the amount of words I need so time to say ciao for now. (word count 260)
  4. 1. I would say it's indicative of what the team could be next season. 2. Not any at all sadly, I know it doesn't take much time to check but I'm just so caught up in other things usually. 3. That's a good question but honestly I can't think of one. 4. The Dragons are my favorite because.... well it's a freaking dragon, the Nighthawks are a close number 2 though, Phoenix has a really good one to. 5. Is it wrong that I wanna see Tampa win it? To see an official dynasty happen in the NHL for the first time since the 80's Oilers. I would still be happy if the Rangers or Colorado won it though. 6. 2024?
  5. Jonathan Ori probably isn't the name most people are thinking of in terms of free agency, he still has one year left on his contact after all, but it's a mutual option. Helsinki has five players signed at least into next year currently and the same number that still don't have a contract. The Titans could make some big changes if they really wanted to, all five players listed as UFA are pretty big names and would require a hefty salary. Nasherov would be the cheapest as he's only got one year left that he can play in the VHL before he must retire from the league and you have to be wary of a production drop off. He was a point per game last season so he should still be able to give a team around 50-60 points I would imagine, maybe he surprises everyone and does better for his final go. Back to Ori though we were able to have a chat with him over a phone call, he's currently back in Canada spending time with friends. He told us that he's mulling over what feels best for him, he's loved it in Helsinki and believes the team has great seasons ahead of them but thinks his future might be elsewhere. Ori had his second best year points wise, with 83 and reached 20 goals for a third time in his career. Ori is entering his last three years in the league and the wear and tare starts to take effect at this point. If he was to move he didn't give any specific teams he was looking to join, just that he'd wanna hear what each team is offering. (word count 282)
  6. review: This was a nice media spot to read, as I'm debating what I'm gonna do with Ori, I can relate to this. I think you give a good reason for why Jokinen would be considering retirement with his lowest point totals since his first season. I think the bit with homeless guy that is super rich was pretty funny to. I really like the pictures as well as they give some perspective to his state of mind and where he's at it. (literally in the park) Spacing is all good and there's enough here to chew on, I think it's well paced and a solid read. 8.5/10
  7. 1. Definitely frustrated, we played great and it hurts to imagine what we could have done in the playoffs. 2. I consider it a success considering the past 3 seasons, and if not for our slow start we would have made it. 3. Not at all, we got the NHL playoffs and I've working more at work. 4. Toronto, I feel like we may end up with Seattle and Moscow though lol 5. Back home, Canada. 6. I'm basic, vanilla.
  8. It's finally theme week, right when the regular season is about to wrap up, of course I'm doing this late cause that's what I do. It was a bit of a rough week as I got sick and such and did my VSN article with my head hurting, despite that I'm still rather happy with how it came out, even if I made some stupid mistakes. In fact let's start there, with the VSN, I was shocked to be considered for it just because I know I make quite a few spelling and grammar errors. But still I have to thank @Mr_Hatterfor reaching out to me and giving me a chance to contribute in a bigger way to the league. Also for editing my work, making sure the grammar and spelling is more top notch. I want to both say thank you and I'm sorry to @Acydburnand @dlambfor pointing out my dumb errors, no real excuse for it, I just messed up. I don't take those kind of errors lightly on myself and it makes me want to better myself and my work, especially as a VSN writer now. How about some team appreciation? I've been apart of the Helsinki Titans for five seasons now and while the future is uncertain for Ori at the current moment I want to thank everyone who has helped grow the team, I know I'm rather quiet in the locker room but I know you guys are there, chatting and making it lively and the end of this season was frustrating. I want to thank @Will3@zepheter@Vat@Baozi@Spartanon the forward core with Ori, @solas@jhatty8@leafsman@jRuutuon the blue line and our amazing goalie @CowboyinAmerica. You guys have been great teammates and thank you so much for making the team so fun to play on, I know there's past teammates as well but I just want to shout out one here, @Alexand his player Alex Johnston for being a fantastic teammate for a few seasons in Helsinki, you were a great line mate. I can't not mention management either, I already mentioned Hatter but @Rayzor_7too, thanks for picking me back in season 79, I am super glad to have joined you on your first VHL GM team (if I'm not mistaken) and rest assured I've been happy with ya! I want to return the favor to some degree for those that have shared the love with me, @JardyB10thanks for the shout out of not just me but others in the VSN in your podcast, it means a lot to all of us. It is fun to work on a series that has multiple parts but it can be tiresome to, thank you my fellow VSN writers! And @SlapshotDragon, my rival, my friend and my teammate thank you for the graphic! I really wish Ori and Petrenko could have a battle in the playoffs but it's unlikely given the current situation, they would have to meet in the finals since they're in different conferences. I don't believe this is the first time the VHL has had an appreciation theme week, I wanna say I remember doing one shouting out a lot of the people who got me into the league and helped me learn it, I've thanked those people a lot and if any of you read this, you know who you are!. (word count 553)
  9. Greeting readers, welcome to our final report for season 83. The season is concluded for Jonathan Ori and the Helsinki Titans, it's a rather brutal and unfortunate end for the team, as the team's record would put them second in the North America conference, five points ahead of the Toronto Legion but because they're stuck in the highly competitive EU where 6 teams have 90 plus points they're on the outside looking in. That's not why we're here though, we are here to talk about Jonathan Ori and his final stretch of the season. He went out on a high note scoring 24 points in 18 games, his best batch of 18 games this season. While he went scoreless in six games he made up for it with having eight multi point games, including four games with 3 points. In the end he finished with 4 goals, 20 assists for 24 points, his career numbers after five seasons in the VHL are 85 goals scored, 242 assists for 327 points. Sadly this was his weakest in the faceoff dot, still better than many players but weak by his standards. He took 711 which is 51 more than last quarter but still far short of the 873 from the first quarter, he won 418 of them giving him a winning percentage of 58.79 on the quarter and a 59.79 winning percentage on the season. He did have a rather rough time of it in game 66 winning just 7 out of 25. In the end he took a total of 2,907 faceoffs and won 1,737 of them. That's all for season 83 and we will see you all next season! (word count 279)
  10. Man.... how the fuck did I mess that up? DX Happy to talk about your player! Your part of a pretty cool club!
  11. 1. That we had a chance at the playoffs, and that it looks really silly on the league how we're ahead of second place in the NA conference. 2. Just watching a silly video or playin something. 3. I'd buy him dinner each win he gets. 4. Semi finals. 5. Moscow, because they're probably due for one. 6. Get to visit some family, watch the Stanley cup finales, watch the Xbox show, hopefully a Nintendo Direct to.
  12. Your to kind Dragon!! Thank you so much!! Would be great if our teams met in the playoffs!
  13. Oh god, that's embarrassing DX I'll fix right it away!! Thank you for pointing it out!
  14. Greeting viewers, welcome to what is the final part of "TPE Max Earners". While there is always the potential that I may return to this series, it would be a long way down the road, when we have 15 or more players that have crossed the 1500 TPE threshold. I would also have to remember to keep track of that manually because as far I know there isn't a system in place that tracks any player that has crossed 1000 or in this case 1500 TPE, the top 25 chart is awesome but I do think it'd be handy to have one that keeps track of anyone that has hit the major milestones on either 1000 or 1500, or maybe you go in between at 1250. Anyway I'm getting carried away here, let's cover our last three players! 26: Battre Sandstorm (Acydburn) 1524 TPE I feel I need to thank @Acydburn for getting their player Battre Sandstorm across the 1500 TPE barrier, if they didn't I'd only have two players to talk about and that would make me sad. Sandstorm was sitting at 1499 TPE and I was seriously thinking that they might just leave them there for the heck of it and we'd have a Mike Modano situation, thankfully Sandstorm got one more week of full updates to put them at 1524 overall TPE which puts them at rank 23. Once again to keep things simple for myself and viewers I'm putting him at spot 26 on my list, I will also note that Sandstorm is still playing this season but has been retired which is why I don't have an asterisk next to their name, 1524 is their final TPE number. With all that said we can actually get started, drafted eighth overall in the VHLM by the Saskatoon Wild in season 75 they played 89 games in the M split between the Marlins and Wild. He put up 39 goals, 58 assists for 97 points, 75 of those points came from playing with the Wild. In 7 playoff games - all with his draft team - he had 3 goals, 6 assists for 9 points. For his VHL draft he was selected second overall by the Prague Phantoms in season 76, and for his three WC appearances S82 was his best with 11 assists and 12 points. Sandstorm played six of his eight seasons with his draft team before being traded over to the Riga Reign for his last two seasons. This final season for him could be his best yet in terms of goals, as he has already scored 25 in 65 games, tying his career high from last season. I'm getting ahead of myself though. Sandstorm has had five seasons above a point per game and two of them over 100, and they are looking to do it a third time to finish off his career, he only sits four points back. As a blue liner four 20 goal seasons is impressive, his first came in his rookie season with 21 but wouldn't get back to it till S81 with 24 goals, 93 assists for 117 points, Sandstorm would improve all of those numbers next season with 25 goals, 99 assists for 124 points. While his assists and points career highs are set at this point beating his own personal best goals record is still very possible as stated before. His career numbers right now are: 569 games played, 158 goals, 503 assists for 661 points. Battre Sandstorm has been lucky enough to make the postseason every time in his career so far and looks to do so for one final time. His best run is an easy pick as it was last season where he put up 15 assists and 20 points in 12 games, it's the only time he's been above a point per game in the playoffs. His current post season numbers are: 60 games played, 14 goals, 37 assists for 51 points. Finally Sandstorm does have two personal awards to his name, both coming in season 82, the Alexander Beketov Trophy and the Alexander Valiq Trophy, I guess he really likes trophies with the name "Alexander" in them. Most TPE in a week 49. 27: Dakota Lamb (dlamb) 1509 TPE Jumping down very close to the 1500 TPE line, we have @dlamb's player Dakota Lamb, see I told ya I'd talk about him. Lamb, much like Hextall was a draft steal but for different reasons, whereas confusion surrounded whether Hexy was going up to the VHL or not, my guess with Lamb is that GM's thought he was going to be a bust or that perhaps dlamb wasn't a proven member yet thus others getting picked over him. (I am an older member than dlamb, which surprises me honestly) The Miami Marauders would be the lucky team to pick him up at 49th overall in round four and what a good pick it was. In his first season with Miami he posted 93 points with 37 goals and 56 assists, in his second go around he scored 44 goals, 48 assists for 92 points. Overall that's 185 points in 144 games, in the S72 playoffs he played 7 games, scored just as many goals, had 6 assists for 13 points. In season 73 Miami went 15 games deep but Lamb only had 4 goals, 3 assists for 7 points, it is kind of interesting how his point totals were lower the second go around with Miami, of course you take those 44 goals in the regular season. In the VHL draft he still wasn't one of the top overall picks, but 10th overall is still much better than 49th, the team that picked him in the S73 draft was the Warsaw Predators. His first go around in the WC was his best with 5 goals, 6 assists for 11 points. Dakota Lamb adds to another, separate list, that being one of players that play with one team for most of their career before going to another one in their final season. Drawing another similarity to Jaxx Hextall, Lamb only played seven seasons in the VHL, instead of the eight seasons everyone is so used to seeing on here. Lamb had a point per game in six of his seven seasons, hitting 100 points three times. The one time he failed to hit a point per game was his sophomore season with 70 points, which is still remarkable. I feel I have to talk about his excellent rookie campaign with 43 goals, 47 assists for 90 points, in total Lamb had four 40 goal seasons. His final season which was split between Warsaw and Vancouver saw him put up 49 goals which must have been frustrating to be one away from 50, he would end up putting 102 points on the scoresheet that season. S79 was his best for points and assists, recording 108 points, 64 assists and notching 44 goals, S77 is worth mentioning with 104 points, scoring 46 goals and getting 58 assists. His career regular season numbers are: 505 games played, 266 goals scored, 383 assists, and 649 points. In the playoffs Lamb has been nothing but fantastic, he's never failed to score at least 13 points, in fact he sits above a point per game in every playoff appearance. I would say it makes it hard to choose but it really doesn't, because in S78 he put up 34 points in just 17 games played, scoring 10 goals and getting 24 apples, one of the best playoff performances ever. Overall his totals are: 83 games played, 43 goals, 79 assists for 122 points. In terms of personal awards Lamb only has the one, the Christian Stolzschweiger Trophy has best rookie of his class, he does have four cups however, making up for lack of personal achievements, Victory Cups in S77 and S80 and Continental Cups in S78 and S80. Most TPE in a week 43. 28: Hulk Hogan (Hogan) 1500 TPE Our final player got exactly to 1500 TPE, I wouldn't blame anyone if they forgot that Hulk Hogan made it to the milestone. @Hogan pushed on though, to get his player there and has had to wait the longest to see his player get up here, your efforts have been noticed Hogan, don't worry. Hogan was drafted 22nd overall in the second round by the Mississauga Hounds in season 66, playing a full season with the team he put up 17 goals and 77 assists for 94 points, five games in the playoffs he put up just 5 assists. In the VHL draft he was selected 5th overall by the Seattle Bears in season 67. His best WC performance was his last in S74, where he scored 2 goals, 9 assists for 11 points. As our final player Hogan falls into the same group Sandstorm does, playing with one team his entire career, Hogan achieved a point per game in his final three seasons, he was one point shy in his fifth season and just four points shy in his second season. Hogan never made it to 100 points in a season but as a blue liner his numbers are still very impressive. His sophomore season saw him put up 68 points which was a 25 point jump over his rookie season, his 60 assists that season was the first of five times he'd hit that mark. The second half of his career saw him only get better with age, going from 45 points to 71, 78, 93 and 94 points in his final season. His goal scoring really picked up in his final two seasons as he scored 24 and 26 goals respectfully. His career high in assists was 69 in that second last season of his and the goals and points career highs were in his final season. Overall his regular season totals are: 576 games played, 105 goals scored, 444 assists, 549 points. Outside of his rookie season Hogan went to the playoffs every year with the Bears, S70 is his best in terms of points per game, posting 4 goals, 10 assists for 14 points in 11 games. I do wanna point out that from S71 to S73 Hogan failed to score a playoff goal in 41 games but did put up 29 assists in that time frame. His playoff totals are: 90 games played, 9 goals, 64 assists, 73 points. For one last time let's talk about trophies and cups, Hogan won four, count em four Continental Cups, S68, S69, S71 and S73. You can also add a Victory Cup on top of that last season. He won the Vladimir Boomchenko and Ryan Sullivan Trophies in S66 and the Alexander Beketov Trophy in S71. Most TPE in a week 64. Thank you everyone that kept up with this series, no matter when you started reading it. I never thought I'd be invited to be a VSN writer and getting to shift this series over to it was awesome! This was a very long project and an interesting one to tackle, but I look to the horizon for a new topic, a new challenge! I will see you all soon with a new series! (word count 1869)
  15. Greetings once again readers, the season is quickly approaching it's end and we have our second last report for Ori. Points wise it's his weakest quarter yet, one less point than the first quarter which he had 19, still 18 points is a point per game and that's still impressive and what you want from a player like Ori. He only failed to score points in four games and had a point streak of eight games in a row, he had three multi point games. He scored six goals, the same as last quarter but had 12 assists instead of 16. We should mention that Helsinki has made quite the turn around and at points has been within three points of a playoff position. Frustrating if the team was in the NA conference they would be third. Finally faceoffs numbers of course, he won 404 out of 660 for a 61.21 winning percentage. He took overall two more faceoffs than last quarter, 46 being the most he took. With the season entering the final stretch we predict Ori end with about 80 points, maybe one or two points under. After three quarters he has 59 points, 16 goals and 43 assists so 21 more points should be doable for the Canadian center, he had 22 points in quarter two. Thank you so much for reading and we look forward to seeing you all in our final part!! (Word count 237)
  16. 1. Better scoring I think? Defense has tightened up to. 2. I'm really hoping so, considering we would be 3rd in NA. 3. I get why it's set up that way but having a overall system where all teams are in one conference would be nice. 4. I guess watching the NHL playoffs? 5. Oilers because they have Mike Smith! But also Florida because they have jumbo Joe. 6. Turkey, lettuce, mayo, tomato. Something like that, whatever is used to make a classic turkey sandwich.
  17. Hello all and welcome back to our second quarterly report for season 83 for the center Jonathan Ori. The Titans are starting to get it together and the team is playing better, while still out of a playoff spot they are closing the gap. This quarter saw Ori get three more points than the first, staying above a point per game, he had seven multi point games during this stretch and scored in 13 of them. His consistency was good to with only one gap of two games in a row without a point. Overall he had 6 goals to bring him to 10 on the season, 16 assists to bring him to 31 on the season and 22 points bring him to 41. His most notable game was game 28 with 1 goal and 2 assists and winning 27/44 faceoffs. Speaking of faceoffs there's been a noticeable drop off in how many he's been taking, 658 vs the 873 he took in the first quarter, no game exceeded 50 faceoffs taken with 47 being the max twice. He won 402 out of 658 for a winning percentage of 61.09%. The less faceofss could be good for Ori, as other members of the team work on their faceoffs to give Ori a bit more resting time, Ori might even be giving them some tips. Till next time folks! (word count 228)
  18. 1. Pretty good, I do wish I was another 5 points or so ahead of what I'm at but still happy. 2. I imagine Ori just took a small trip back home to see family and such. 3. Well I'm boring so I'm still gonna choose somewhere in NA, probably like Montreal or San Jose?
  19. Hold your horses lamb, I still have one more episode to do of this series, I will be covering Dakota Lamb, don't ya worry!! And thank you very much!!
  20. Greetings viewers, welcome back to what will be the penultimate part of this series, at least for now. When I started this series I always intended to cover the 25 players that at the time had eclipsed 1500 TPE, I'm going to hold myself to that while also at least doing one more part. Currently there are five players left to do, but I'm hoping that Battre Sandstorm will pass 1500 TPE to give me an even six players left to cover. I'm making this decision because while I've enjoyed this series a lot I am craving a new challenge, a new subject to cover. I stated in a recent article that we will likely see a lot more players crossing 1500 TPE and that's great, but I believe it will be better to give that list some time to grow instead of covering it one player at a time. With all of that said we do have three more players to talk about so let's get to that!! 23: Duncan Idaho (OrbitingDeath) 1552* Duncan Idaho is our first active player to make it onto this list, and because of that I added an asterisk. They are still earning TPE and thus can climb higher on the leaderboard, I should also note that for the sake of keeping things simple for myself and readers I am listing him at 23rd but he actually sits at 19th. With all of that covered, this is @OrbitingDeath 's second player on the list. Condor Adrienne is his other, a player who got to 1629 TPE; perhaps Death is on a mission to pass that? Duncan Idaho was drafted third overall in both the VHLM and VHL drafts, in the lower league the Houston Bulls picked him in season 76, in the big league the Moscow Menace selected him in season 77. In the M he played 85 total regular season games, earning 81 points, his full season in Houston saw him with a perfect split of 40 goals and assists, with his one extra goal coming from playing with the Marlins. He participated in 25 playoff games, scoring 13 goals and 9 assists for 22 points. In both of his WC appearances he was at least a point per game, 25 points in 20 games. Entering his VHL career, which again is ongoing, he is seven seasons in, so there's still plenty to look through. Including this current season, Idaho has been at least a point per game five times, he's broken 100 points three times so far and is on pace to do so again this season with 62 points in 35 games. Duncan has spent his whole career so far with his draft team, his career high in points also includes his best in goals and assists. Season 81 he reached 130 points with 57 goals and 73 assists, however the 73 assists mark he actually tied in his follow up season, he had 125 points with five less goals making the difference. The season before 81, Idaho achieved 110 points with 54 goals and 56 assists, I could see him finishing with five seasons above 100 points. His current career numbers are 467 games played, 295 goals, 333 assists for 628 points. The three most recent seasons are the only postseason experience Idaho has had, they've all been deep runs though, in fact Duncan has never failed to score a minimum of 20 points. In season 80 he had 10 goals and assists in 15 games, S81 he had 8 goals and 12 assists in 17 games played, last season he had a crazy high 41 points in 23 games, 13 goals and 28 assists. Post season career totals are: 55 games played in just three seasons, 31 goals, 50 assists for 81 points. Awards! He's got a number of them, Christian Stolzschweiger Trophy has the top rookie of his class in S77, Scotty Campbell Trophy in S80 as regular season MVP, Scott Boulet Trophy S80-82 as best two way forward, that's right, he's won it three seasons in a row. Most TPE in a week 46. 24: Benny Graves (STZ) 1520 Jumping back to the S60's for our next two players, @STZ is up next with his player Benny Graves. Two TPE behind Taro, Graves played 23 games for the Reapers and scored 6 goals and 13 points, in a nine game run in the playoffs he got just two goals. All of that was before his VHLM draft in season 68 where he was selected fourth overall by the Las Vegas Aces, in 72 games played he scored 66 goals, got 77 apples for 143 points. In 11 games in the playoffs he scored 11 goals and 7 apples for 18 points. His VHL draft he was selected second overall by the D.C. Dragons, he'd spend his whole career with the team. In his three WC appearances he stayed above a point per game, he scored 6 goals all three times, 7, 8, and 9 assists for points of 13, 14, and 15. In total he had 18 goals, 24 helpers for 42 points in 30 games. Getting into his time in D.C. he was a point per game five times and reached 100 points just once. Season 73 would have his highest point and assist totals, 103 points and 65 assists, and his 38 goals was his third best. Graves hit the 40 goal mark twice in his career, first time in S74 with 41 goals and 44 assists for 85 points, and then again in his final season with 42 goals and 52 assists for 94 points. His career regular season totals are: 576 games played, 263 goals, 335 assists for 598 points. A shame he didn't get two more points for 600. Graves got to play in the post season six times, he was at least a point per game five times but his best run for sure was in S75 where in 20 games played, he had 10 goals and 16 assists for 26 points. S74 was a great effort too with 8 goals in 9 games and 12 points. Overall his career numbers are: 58 games played, 30 goals scored, 37 helpers and 67 points. Being above a point per game in the playoffs is always impressive and Graves was a big time playoff guy. His award case? Well it doesn't exist sadly, he's got nothing. Most TPE in a week 65. 25: Rayz Funk (Rayzor_7) 1512 Finally, Rayz Funk, @Rayzor_7's hall of famer goaltender. I've had the pleasure of both having my player Jaxx Hextall do battle with Funk on the ice and playing under Rayzor as a general manager. Funk is only the fourth goaltender on this list as we inch closer to exactly 1500 TPE, he was drafted third overall in the VHLM in season 66 by the Mississauga Hounds. Playing one full season with the team he had a record of 41-26-5 with 4 shutouts, a .888 save percentage and 2.76 goals against average. In the playoffs he went 1-3-1 with a .875 save percentage and 3.96 GAA. In his VHL draft in S67 he was taken second overall by the Seattle Bears. In his four WC appearances, while his first go around in S68 he has a .933 save percentage he only played the one game, so I gotta give it to his S70 run with a record of 2-4-2 with a .911 save percentage and 2.57 GAA. Funk spent seven of his eight seasons with the Seattle Bears where he had great success, reaching 40 wins three times and having two seasons that were shy of 40 by a win or two. He finished with a save percentage above .920 three times, his highest was in season 69 where he finished with 39 wins, a .923 and a career low GAA of 2.25, his 8 shutouts also tied a career high that he had set just last season. Arguably his best overall season was S73 with a record of 41-15-4, 6 shutouts, .921 save percentage and 2.48 GAA. His career numbers at the end of his career are: 522 games played, 294 wins, 179 losses, 40 OT losses, .917 save percentage, 2.56 GAA and 36 shutouts. Funk made the postseason six times, only missing in his rookie season and final season where he went to Davos. It's hard choosing what was Funk's best playoff run as, spoiler alert, he won the cup four times. S68 a record of 12-1-1, a .935% and 1.79 GAA, 3 shutouts. S71 a record of 12-3-2, a .937% and 1.67 GAA, 2 shutouts. S73 a record of 12-5-2, a .935% and GAA of 2.04 and 1 shutout. All of these are standout performances, you could argue between S68 or S71 being his best run but S73 is 100% still worth mentioning. Overall career playoff numbers are 85 games played, 55 wins, 20 losses, 10 OT losses, 7 shutouts, .930 save percentage and 2.09 GAA. The trophy case has been fairly light as of late, but Funk is here to change that, four Continental Cups in seasons 68, 69, 71, and 73 with a Victory cup that last season as well in Seattle. He won the Christian Stolzschweiger Trophy as best rookie of S67, and he won the Daisuke Kanou Trophy as playoff MVP a ridiculous four times, winning it each time they won the cup. His most TPE in a week was 73, that is a lot. Thank you all so much for reading and I will see you all next time for what will be the final part in this series, ciao for now. (1560 word count)
  21. So ya'll know I'm working on that series of players who have passed the big 1500 TPE mark, something that I believe we will see more of with longer careers now, and with more dedicated users it'll go up even faster. Currently 27 players have reached it and we currently have fours players in the 1400 range, three of them from season 77 and one season 76. Three more in the 1300 range, two S77 and one S76. The leader board currently has a lot of S77 players with a few S76 players left, the highest season 78 player is at rank 9 with 1285 TPE, the player is Hard Markinson, user STZ. Battling it out for S79 is Jerome Reinhart and Jonathan Ori, Reinhart is currently ahead at 1051 but Ori is only behind by 3 (After my updates go through I should be back in the lead). In total three S79 players are on the list. What's really remarkable is Xavier Booberry, Ori's teammate in Helsinki. He easily leads the S80 class in TPE, he's the only S80 player on it and is only behind the two previously mentioned S79 players. Taking a bit of a closer look Booberry is currently 71 TPE ahead of second place in his class, 81 ahead of 3rd and 126 ahead of fourth. Again if he was in the S79 class he'd be ranked third already, it's crazy. One final note is that every player on the leader board is above 1000TPE, it ranges from 1549 to 1007! (word count 256)
  22. 1. I really don't have one, what really qualifies as one anyway? 2. I guess that Hexy didn't get any VHL awards, that's really a shame. 3. Enorama, the guy that brought me into this league.
