  1. Don't you love it when you have something planned to talk about but then it expands beyond what you originally thought it was gonna be? Ya me too, because now that it's the length of media spot I'd rather claim as such, it's not the first time it's happened to me but it does mean coming up with something else to talk about. Let's take a glance over at the standings, we're not at the three quarter mark yet so it's why I'm not doing my usual stat review thing. Seattle is fourth overall with 69 (nice) points, we are two points behind the predators, five behind the Dragons which..... honestly I wasn't expecting them to be this good. Finally we're nine points behind the Menace. Just behind us though is my former team, the Helsinki Titans who are on a heater right now, their on a eight game winning streak and just two points away. My first ever VHL team I played for, the Toronto Legion are three points from us and and Phoenix are one point behind them. From there there's a six point drop off and I don't think I need to talk about every team here. I seriously think Helsinki will do something special in these playoffs, myabe not win it all but they should go on a run and reach the final I feel like, it would be quite something crazy if Seattle and Helsinki were in the final together, facing off against my old team, I try not to think about it to much XD (word count 261)
  2. Hey don't sell us short on that fight with the Wild, we actually managed to beat them once! Glad to be mentioned on here though, hard to believe it's been 15 seasons now since I made Hexy.
  3. 1. Winning the Founder's cup in season 70 with the Storm!! @Rayzor_7 @Mr_Hattergood time that was ^^ 2. A signed hockey stick from a player. 3. Is it wrong I can't think of one? Yes to both, I can't see it ending before that XD
  4. HAPPY BIRTHDAY VHL!! YOU WONDERFUL LEAGUE!!
  5. Welcome back VHL goers, we are now half way through the season, hard to believe it huh? Well another quarter of the season gone and another report for players. This time for Jonathan Ori. It has been a bit of a tougher stretch for the Canadian center but he is by no means playing badly. 17 points in 18 games is nothing to be ashamed of, but Ori does feel he can do better and his goal scoring is still no quite where you want it to be. He did manage four goals this time around bringing his total up to seven, he put up 13 more assists to bring his totals to 7 goals, 32 assists for 39 points. Looking at some of his past seasons Ori usually has a spike in goals in one of them, in quarter three of season 81 he put up a ridiculous 14 goals when he had only managed 3-5 in other quarters. Season 82 again in quarter three he put up 9 goals, not as crazy but still three more or high than any other quarters, for sure though is goal scoring was starting to even out through a season. Season 83 he got to six twice in the second and third quarters, we're hoping Ori can bring his goal scoring a little for the second half of the season. To wrap this up, let's take a look at his faceoff percentages, he took 680 which is about 80 less than first quarter and won 395 of them which gives him a winning percentage of 58.09%, this is only a 00.05% difference from quarter one, so if anything he's consistent. Until next time! (word count 281)
  6. 1. I would say worse... definitely believe you guys should be top two if not first. There's still time though and I hope you guys get there! 2. All the assists Ori's been getting, I don't what happened to his goal scoring that he had here but it's just dropped off in Seattle XD 3. I'm really not sure.... better defense maybe? The scoring and goaltending I'm sure are fine. 4. No but that won't stop people from believing in it XD 5. Hotdogs I guess lol 6. Going on a jet sky, or going on a tub getting pulled behind a boat, those are pretty fun.
  7. Greeting readers and welcome back to the power rankings of the S70's VHL teams. Last time we looked at the worst of the worst, the bottom four teams, teams that struggled in every season and were unable to go on any kind of run or nab extra points from being a top three team in goals for, against or differential. Now we're going to take a look at the teams that managed slightly better, team's here that played the full decade fared better in the regular season and managed to grab more extra points. Expansion teams in this ball park actually did very very well and it's definitely an area where the expansion ranking really shows just how good they really were. I have also decided to add in something extra on the stats list to fill in some blank space, I will now have a points stat that simply shows the regular season points earnings plus the bonus points they achieved, I will retroactively add this to part one as well. Chicago Phoenix Record: 262-197-45 Rank: 12th with 724 points Goals for: x3 Conference finals: x2 Goals against: x1 Cup finals: x0 Goal differential: x3 Continental Cup: x1 Victory Cup: x1 Points: 569+155 Expansion ranking: 5th with 724 points Our first team on the list for part two is the S74 expansion Chicago Phoenix, while the team may be 12th when looking at the overall picture the 5th in expansion ranking speaks volumes in how much they managed to accomplish in a short time. As one would expect from most expansion teams their first season was the worst, but it wasn't just bad, it was worst of the decade. 18-51-3, the only time in the S70's that a team failed to secure 20 wins and 40 points. Despite that though it was clear a plan was in place for the team as they jumped up by 26 points the next season and 19 the season after that. Season 75 saw them secure an upset over the Victory cup winning Wranglers in round one and they took the Dragons to seven games in round two. With playoff experience now in hand Chicago had their best regular season in season 76, finishing 49-16-7, they were the best in North America and they finished top three in goals for and differential. They had a dominant run to their one cup win of the decade, only suffering three losses. In round one they beat the Seattle Bears 4-2, round two they swept the Wolves and in the finals they beat their fellow expansion team the Warsaw Predators 4-1. They skated away with 185 points that season. The remaining three seasons saw them stay in the 40 win column, S77 they finished top three in goals for and differential, S78 saw them tie their expansion brethren Warsaw Predators in regular season points at the top of the league with 98. It was more than just that though, they were top three in all goal categories and they beat the Dragons in the first round before being swept in the second. For the final year of the decade the team went out on a fine record with 90 points, no top three's and didn't go anywhere in the playoffs. As stated at the start, the Phoenix were good and outside of their first two seasons in the S70's were a team you had to respect. New York Americans Record: 329-324-67 Rank: 11th with 745 points Goals for: x0 Conference finals: x1 Goals against: x1 Cup finals: x0 Goal differential: x0 Continental Cup: x0 Victory Cup: x0 Points: 725+20 Expansion ranking: 15th with 486 points After looking at the Phoenix it's a shame to have to jump back to a mediocre team, the New York Americans are another team that seemingly just coasted through the S70's. The main difference here compared to say, the Dynamo, is that New York had better regular seasons and managed to push more games into overtime. They were the Dynamo on a better diet basically. Like H.C. Davos, the Americans were top three in goals against once but unlike Davos they were able to win a round in the playoffs. Season 72 they upset the second place Seattle Bears to move on into round two only to get bested by the Wranglers in a seven game series. Their best record was the only time they achieved 40 wins, 43-23-6 in season 73 put them fifth overall, two seasons later they would bottom out at 21-42-9, dead last in the league. The Americans were a stronger team at the start of the decade as they had 36 or more wins each season topping off at the 43 in S73 as mentioned before, but they dropped pretty hard after that, sitting in the 20 win range the next four seasons before returning to 30 wins in the final two. Their expansion ranking shows just how close they were to H.C. Davos Dynamo, as they finished just four points ahead of them. Many of you knew they'd be close to the bottom and well here they are; sure they managed to finish ahead of the Chicago Phoenix in terms of looking at the full decade but looking at that expansion ranking, there's a ten place and 238 point difference. Prague Phantoms Record: 361-292-67 Rank: 10th with 814 points Goals for: x0 Conference finals: x1 Goals against: x2 Cup finals: x0 Goal differential: x0 Continental Cup: x0 Victory Cup: x0 Points: 789+25 Expansion ranking: 10th with 580 points The Prague Phantoms, a team that has one of my favorite logos in the league, was good through the decade... but never great. Honestly what's the most remarkable thing about this franchise during the S70's was just their consistency, the team finished in the 30 win column nine times and the one time they weren't, they were in the 40 win range. That would be season 76 with a season end record of 45-26-1 to put them fifth in the league that year, and they finished top three in goals against. Surprisingly their worst record came the year prior when they finished 31-34-7 which put them 13th overall, that's pretty special to see, a team jump their worst record of the decade to their best. The problem as I said before however is that while the Phantoms were a respectable team the whole way through, they never had that next level, they finished in the top three in goals against twice for noticeable regular season achievements and only escaped the first round once. That came in Season 78 when they beat the London United 4-1 and lost in the second round to the Warsaw Predators 4-2. To draw a comparison to the NHL, they remind me of the Minnesota Wild, a team that's been good but never great, a team you know is gonna go out in the first round 95% of the time. If there's one final thing I can say about them, they are the first team on this list that played the full decade and finished with more wins than overall looses (361-359) and being 10th in both rankings shows the stable nature of the team. Warsaw Predators Record: 275-178-51 Rank: 9th with 816 points Goals for: x5 Conference finals: x2 Goals against: x1 Cup finals: x1 Goal differential: x4 Continental Cup: x1 Victory Cup: x2 Points: 601+215 Expansion ranking: 2nd with 816 points Easily the most successful expansion team from those in the S70's, the Warsaw predators blow Los Angeles and the London United out of the water and managed to outshine the Chicago Phoenix by a good margin to. No surprise their worst record was their expansion year, 23-41-8 for 54 points and 14th overall. The following season they jumped to 27-37-8 for 62 points and again 14th overall. In their third season they took a sizeable jump, gaining a record of 40-25-7 and finishing top three in goals for, something they would do for five consecutive seasons. While they had no playoffs luck next season would make up for it, their best record yet of 51-13-8, they were top three in goal differential and went to the finals. They beat the Titans in a close seven game series, beat Moscow in a seven game series as well, it set up a match up between expansion brethren, Chicago vs Warsaw to see who would win the first cup of the S73 expansion teams, of course if you read the first entry on this list than you know Warsaw loses here. Warsaw was not deterred though, as they went 47-21-4 for 98 points, finished top three in all goal categories, win the victory cup and make it out of the first round beating the Phantoms 4-1 before Helsinki beat them in a nail bitter seven game series. The second last season of the decade saw Warsaw make up for their loss two season ago, while their point total was the same as last season the record was different, 44-18-10. For a third straight time they were top three in goal differential and while losing the tiebreaker for the Victory cup in terms of VHL rules, they were tied in points with the Phoenix so I will award it to them anyway. The Predators weren't messing around as they beat the Nighthawks 4-1, Phantoms 4-2 and the Seattle Bears by the same amount. In the final season of the decade Warsaw still impressed, going 43-23-6 and securing top three in goals for for that fifth straight season and goal differential for a fourth straight season. They beat the Riga Reign 4-1 but lost to the Nighthawks in round two 3-4. Three less seasons played, not to mention the usually rough expansion year and Warsaw still managed to get up to ninth place, it's remarkable and to let you all know, they aren't far behind 8th place either. The expansion ranking of second shows you just how dominant they were once you get to season 75; under my system, they managed to have four 100+ point seasons showing just how good they were. I can tell you now the gaps between 3rd to 2nd, and 2nd to 1st are pretty big. And that is a rap for part two! It was super fun to talk about two teams with a good amount of playoff success and two others that merely are where they are because they played fine enough. Next time we will look through 8th to 5th and see a pretty big jump in terms of record, we will be moving into teams that were cup contenders that actually played the full decade, with that said yes, we have already talked about the four expansion teams. Sorry to the fans of those teams but that's just how the cookie crumbles, it's hard to make up for those three seasons they didn't exist for. Until next time, ciao for now! (word count 1831)
  8. Hello and welcome back once again!! We are back for season 84 and it's gonna be different for Ori this season. For those out of the loop, Ori was picked entered free agency and was picked up by the Seattle Bears. A fresh start for the Canadian center and he hasn't disappointed with the team. He's scored in 13 of the 18 games he's played so far with the Bears, and while he was snake bit in terms of goal scoring he made up for it by finishing over an assist per game. Game 14 saw him have a massive five assists game, something Ori have never done before in his career. Season 82 is still Ori's best start to a season with 20 assists and 3 goals, he's not far off with this season though with only one less assist for one less point. While Ori's ability to give apples to his teammates is unquestionably a big part of his game his lack of goals, especially as he didn't score his first goal till game 15, is concerning. More so as he has been practicing his shot with the help of a teammate. Ori wants to stay in the 20 goal range if not push for 30, he'll have to pick up his game in the next three quarters for that to happen. For faceoffs Ori is his usual self, he's taken 762 and won 443 of them for a 58.14% percent of them. This is more in line with last season but it makes sense, the Bears have more than just Ori capable of taking faceoffs. We we're also able to talk to GM Bana about snatching Ori up in free agency. After the S79 draft we learned Ori was someone you were considering. How does it feel to pick him up 5 years later in free agency? "We really did want them in the draft back in 79, however, we also knew Helsinki had their eyes set heavily on them too. In that draft, the players we ended up getting became champions. Would it have happened that way had it when somewhere else? Who knows." "As for getting Ori, it feels good. We really wanted him and to be able to bring him into Seattle as a developed, elite player is a privilege we haven’t taken lightly. We’re very excited." Are you happy with his play on the ice? Do you feel he adds a new dynamic to the team that it didn't have last season? "He adds a lot of things to the team. He’s been an assist machine out there for us. He’s primarily a playmaker and that’s a dynamic this team has been craving despite the rest of the league loving up on the meta. The biggest thing he adds to the team though is his locker room presence. He’s a really good person. He’s a lot of fun. Extremely active and supportive of the bears and his teammates. We literally could not ask for more from him. He’s the whole package and I’m very proud he’s part of the Seattle family." (word count 336, does not include Bana's answers, thank you Bana!!)
  9. 1. Pretty good, 22 points is one of the best starts Ori has had, and that 5 assist game was insane. 2. A vacation I have coming up in mid-ish July. 3. Having fun thanks to being on a new team! It's exciting. 4. The guy that Ben Storm, I don't know why just would be cool if they were back. 5. Probably winning the Founders cup in S70, but my time In Halifax was very memorable too. 6. Well I mean I imagine they would work in the name "Ori" right? Applori, something like that? I know I'm dumb XD
  10. Jonathan Ori's life has gone a pretty big change over the last few months, after spending five years in Helsinki he's returned back to north America. While he may not be playing for a team in his home Country of Canada he's pretty dam close to it. Seattle is in Washington which is right under his home province of British Columbia, it's not a far drive either, only taking about two hours to make the trip. "It's really nice honestly, to be this close. Vancouver was one of the teams that reached out to me during free agency and it was tempting, to play for my home team. I'm happy I still ended up playing close to home, it makes it super convenient for visiting family on any kind of break we get." Ori shared with us to that he's had a great time getting familiar to life in Seattle as well. "Being back in North America I feel is doing a lot of good for me, just way more used to the way of life here, the culture and the people. Banana really helped me settle in and all my teammates have been super helpful too. I'm never lost with one of them around." Ori is also playing with two other S79 draftee's, Aj Williams and Sigard Petrenko. While not very familiar with Williams, Petrenko is someone he remembers quite well from the draft. "I remember we sat next together at the draft, it was kind of surprising how much we started chatting while waiting for everything to get started. Him being from Russia I had some questions on what life was like from there and he asked me some of the same questions about life in Canada. It was really fun and something I remember very fondly of that day. We always kept in touch via text messages and the occasional call but now be with him here in Seattle is pretty sweet." Right away Banana put them on the same line in practice, some of them being a scoring winger and the other being a center who focuses on passes makes sense. Ori has even been getting some help from his Russian line mate. "My goal scoring was something I wanted to approve upon, Petrenko has been giving me a few tips on that end although it hasn't quite translated yet to any actual games." He said with a chuckle after It is true, ten games into the season Ori is without a goal but does have eight assists. Sigard has four goals and two assists for six points. Ori had a career high 25 goals in his third VHL season but that total dropped each season after, to 22 and then 20. He's hoping to bounce back a little in that regard and keep above 20 goals for a fourth consecutive season in his career. While Ori sits 15 goals away from 100 total in his career, Petrenko is just one away, we know he'll find that next goal very soon. (word count 505)

  12. With just a day before season 84 starts we once again sat down with the Canadian center player, Jonathan Ori. This off-season has been an interesting one as he made a tough choice to head into free agency. "It's a decision I could totally regret, but it was one I felt I had to make. The Titans are going to be a great team this season, I know that for sure and if they win the cup I will be proud for every player on that team and Rayzor, and yes it would be tough to swallow to know I could have been there..... but on the other side having a new start and being back in North America has brought me comfort and energy, I'm excited to see what I can do with a new team and what I can bring to the Bears. They have a great track record for success and I hope I can help them achieve the ultimate prize." While Ori never talked about it he did have some trouble adapting to the life style in Finland and felt home sick at times. "Listen, everyone was great there and everyone wanted to helps me settle in, I am forever grateful for that, but I just could never full adjust to life there, I always felt more comfortable anytime we traveled back to North America. No matter what location we're at, when I'm on the ice I can forget everything else, but that's only a bit of it, the rest of the time I just wasn't always comfortable." With that we bid him farewell and we look forward to seeing all the players back on the ice tomorrow! (word count 282)
  13. 1. Oh for sure! You guys are gonna kick some butt!! (and I'm happy to see what Ori can do) 2. You guys should be top of the conference I would think right? Top 3 overall team I would imagine at least. 3. Probably Voss? I expect him to have a great rookie season!! 4. Gonna aim for 100 points, but even a new career high would be great. 5. Even though I'm not with the team anymore you guys are, great overall team with the best goalie! 6. Getting better for sure, has things return more to normal the days have gotten better, looking forward to having a vacation in late July. (Hope you don't mind me crashing in on the press conference!)

  16. Early on in Ori's career I made choice that I was going to test free agency, as I had dedicated Hextall's career to one team for his whole career it was something I never did. The idea of having multiple general mangers approach me and hearing what they had to offer was exciting. Having so many choices would be great and stressful too, I wanna be able to help every GM, to tell everyone of them that I can join their team but that's not how this works, I only got the one player and he can only go to one team. Honestly thank you to all the GM's that did reach out to me, I appreciate the time you took to chat with me and let me know the doors were open. If there's anyone out there thinking I left Helsinki because I was unhappy or anything like that, no, I didn't leave because of anything like that. I had a great time there and while I think the rebuild was progressing slower than what we had hope for it did get there and last season we were just screwed over by the conference system, the team has a bright future and I don't blame Rayzor at all for trading to fill in my spot before FA opened up. If I didn't come back that would leave the team in a much tougher spot. I really do wish everyone on that team well and I'll be happy if they win a cup, it's been a long time since the Titans got one. Going into to free agency was also to help with my motivation, doing something that I hadn't experienced before has helped re-energize me, and joining a new team only adds to that. Bana had to make some moves to get me on the team and I appreciate his effort in doing so, it does make it feel like you are wanted somewhere when the GM is willing to make moves for your player. I completely forgot to but once I got on the team I realized Slapshotdragon's player was on the team, being able to have our two players play together is freaking awesome and I look forward to what we can do on the same line!! (word count 381)
  17. 1. I know he'll do great, he seems like a great player!! 2. Get ready to take lots of faceoffs, gonna have to fill that role! 3. I did! I believe it's what the team needs for down the road! 4. I can tell you it's not because I was unhappy or anything, it was something I just wanted to experience, I hadn't done it before and also wanted to do it to help recharge my interest in the league, it was a hectic but also fun time. Honestly it was a rough time to go into FA with so many teams facing cap crunch, I wish the team the best though! 5. Watching the NHL playoffs! Also watching twitch streams. 6. I think they're doing what they were designed to do, we're seeing less crazy high scoring season, not 40-ish players passing 100 points. I think there's more reason to try different builds now with this system and that's great!
  18. Sorry for the late reply, I really did mean to reply to this earlier. I made the choice early that after Ori I would be taking at minimum a two season break from the league, so I guess that's part of the reason I'm pushing myself with him. I do think that with my next play I probably will take a reduction in earning, most likely. It is a cool league and I stuck around to make a second player for a reason, and I look forward to one being on my third player.

  21. Greetings readers, I am back with a new series and something I've never done before, power rankings! And not just any power rankings, a decade of it. In this series I went through the records of all the VHL teams to find out who was the overall best team of the S70's and vice versa, find out who was the worst. Due to the expansion that happened in season 73 I also will have a side ranking showing where the team placed in that metric, to give a better idea of how the expansion teams did. As this is my first time tackling a power ranking style content I want to keep things fairly simple. I want to break down the system I used to rank the teams; I'm sure not everyone will agree with my system but I'm open to feedback. If you think there's a way I can improve it, share it with me! First of all I am using the points team's accumulated over the decade as a baseline, I added them all up and then awarded bonus points based on different criteria. First off the teams in the top three of goals for, goals against and goals differential are awarded 5 points, the team that wins the Victory Cup or in other words has the most points at the end of the season gets 15 points. The playoffs is where it really matters though, a team gets 15 points for winning the first round, 20 for winning in the semi-finals and 35 points for winning the Continental Cup. Remember these points stack so if a team wins the Cup they get a total of 70 points, making it to the finals gives you 35 points. In total a team can get 100 bonus points, 30 from regular season and 70 from playoffs. As a final note ties will resort to extra bonus points; if two teams ended at the top of the league with the same amount of points, they'll both get the 15 point bonus, same goes for if a team is tied third and fourth in say goals for, both teams will get 5 points. London United Record: 228-234-42 Rank: 16th with 513 points Goals for: x0 Conference finals: x0 Goals against: x2 Cup finals: x0 Goal differential: x1 Continental Cup: x0 Victory Cup: x0 Points: 498+15 Expansion ranking: 13th with 513 points Our last place team was part of that season 73 expansion, due to that they've had three less seasons to earn points in. Looking at the expansion ranking though they do move up three spots showing they overall were better than a few other teams. London was just never able to really do anything in the playoffs which hurt them a lot, even looking at their regular season they only ended in the top three of goals for, goals against or goal differential three times which earned them a grand total of 15 bonus points. They earned 498 points over the seven seasons they played which is third best out of their expansion brothers. They're best record put them in second place in the league in season 77 with 45-24-3, and they were top three in both goals against and goal differential. They're worst was they're expansion year with a record of 23-47-2 putting them second last in the league that year. I don't have much to say for London as they simply "existed" through the S70's and didn't do anything noteworthy, no long playoff run or 50 win season. The two times they had 40 or more wins they flamed out in the postseason. Los Angeles Stars Record: 219-237-48 Rank: 15th with 521 points Goals for: x0 Conference finals: x2 Goals against: x1 Cup finals: x0 Goal differential: x0 Continental Cup: x0 Victory Cup: x0 Points: 486+35 Expansion ranking: 12th with 521 points Once again another expansion team, shouldn't be too surprising again due to the three less seasons played factor. They're regular season record is worse that the United but thanks to having some playoff success they earned enough points to not be bottom of the ranking. They managed to win two playoff series which is something London can't say but they were only top three once in any of the tracked stats for this list. Both post season runs saw the Bears put them to rest, S77 was a sweep and S79 saw them fall in a game 7. Being one spot above London also means in the expansion ranking they are 12th overall. They earned 486 points from their regular season record which is lower than any other team and the 35 bonus points is better than five other teams but still very low. The Stars have hit 40 wins twice, the very last season of the decade was their best with a 42-25-5 record which put them fifth overall that season. For LA they're expansion year wasn't they're worst, instead it was they're third year of existence, a record of 20-39-13 left them second last in the league. Much like the London United there's nothing to write home about, talking about the bottom teams is more difficult because most if not all of them lack a special season to really look into. HC Davos Dynamo Record: 299-360-61 Rank: 14th with 664 points Goals for: x0 Conference finals: x0 Goals against: x1 Cup finals: x0 Goal differential: x0 Continental Cup: x0 Victory Cup: x0 Points: 659+5 Expansion ranking: 16th with 482 points If you wanna talk about a team that coasted through the decade, look no further than the Dynamo, the only team that played the full decade and failed to record 300 wins. They're record earned them a paltry 659 points and with only five bonus points from the one time they were top three in goals against in season 74, a season in which they failed to make the playoffs. If we are to keep with the poor trend of the team they failed to hit 40 wins once, coming the closest in season 74 when they had a record of 38-30-4, again they didn't make the playoffs that year, they were ninth overall. Two seasons later saw them bottom out when they went 20-48-4, they were dead last in the league. I think their expansion ranking really speaks for just how bad this team has been. 80 points was the high mark for this team, and they hit 70 points five total times. The United managed to beat the 80 point mark by they're third season! To borrow a term I've heard from THG before, this team is a doormat dynasty. Toronto Legion Record: 315-333-72 Rank: 13th with 717 points Goals for: x0 Conference finals: x1 Goals against: x0 Cup finals: x0 Goal differential: x0 Continental Cup: x0 Victory Cup: x0 Points: 702+15 Expansion ranking: 14th with 511 points It does greatly pain me to see Toronto down this low, I dedicated all of Hextall's career to the franchise yet there was next to no success. Toronto mostly sat in that 30 win range, a fringe playoff contender. They're best season was Hextall's swan song in season 77 with a record of 40-25-7, the only time they achieved 40 wins and finished fifth overall. They're worst was at the end of the decade when the team went 21-46-5 and was rock bottom of the league. The one round they won during the decade was in season 74 when they beat the Seattle Bears 4-1 but lost to the Wolves in game seven. They're decade record gives them 702 points plus the 15 bonus from actually winning a round in the playoffs. Once again I think the expansion ranking speaks some volume here. They finished two points back of the Stars who managed to win two playoff series and, at least according to my ranking system, had more success in that time frame. It's hard to say anything bad about a team I played for for so long and with my first player no less but yes, the Toronto Legion were pretty garbage during the S70's. That will do it for part one of this series, this will be four parts in total covering four teams in each part, the teams here were..... well the worst of the worst, regardless of what ranking you're looking at there in the bottom five, none of these teams dominated in goals for, goals against or goal differential for more than two seasons, and adding it all up only three rounds were won in total in the playoffs. I hope this is a fun read and look forward to typing up the next part where, hopefully, we have some more interesting seasons or a deep playoff run to look at. Ciao for now. (word count 1465)
