  3. Just to chip in since "bias" has been brought up, a slow moving group (the best examples I can see of that are the two Sunday picks which each clocked in at under 12 hours, which is within the timeframe to make a selection) does not equate to missing your pick entirely. You are the only one getting punished for not picking since you were the only person who....missed picks. This isn't biased at all, and the ruling was issued based off the rules and precedent.
  4. Just to clarify, I should have an EXP share on Charjabug so it should level up and evolve.

  6. Hello! I am once again here to announce Moscow's captains. In some level of magic, there is no captain curse this season. Our lovely Seabass is still on this team, becoming one of the very few captains under my tenure to survive a full career in Moscow. Beyond just captains, The Seabasstard and Hard Markinson are officially the only two players (along with Leroy Johnson @Vkobe-v) to spend their full careers on Moscow. It's always been disappointing to have to trade away tenured players and good friends, but I'm very glad that both STZ and Seabass have survived til the very end. After a little bit of roster shuffling and cap movement to become compliant, we once again are set with our roster heading into S85. We feel good about our chances, and as always, the vibes are immaculate. However, the following three members who have been selected to Moscow's leadership team are a major part of the roster's success this season, and will play a large role in Moscow's success this upcoming season. Without further ado, our captains: First Alternate - Jannik Nylen - @DreMin15 Once again remaining with Moscow's tradition to give leadership positions to the most tenured players, Jannik Nylen is a skilled playmaker from the blue line with over 200 assists to his name, along with immaculate defensive and physical metrics. He's averaged well over 100 shot blocks per season, and nearly 700 hits in his career. A recent addition to the Moscow organization via trade, Nylen has committed to the team's goal of winning a cup this season and is a welcome addition to the locker room. We're excited and honored to have his veteran leadership this season and hope to finish his career on a high note! Second Alternate - Hard Markinson - @STZ The first player to survive a full career in Moscow since Vladimir Pavlov (I think). It's been amazing to watch Markinson become one of the best defensemen in the league, in literally every aspect. He's won three Labatte Trophies, one Valiq, one Stolzschweiger and led Moscow to four EU titles and two Victory Cups. He is a lock for the Hall of Fame and to have his jersey retired in Moscow. Until he retires at the end of this season though, we will enjoy every moment he spends on the ice and that we get with him in the locker room. Captain - The Seabasstard - @Seabass Four seasons as an alternate captain, and now his second season as captain. Seabass and The Seabasstard are simply Moscow. He currently lies in third place in Moscow's franchise point rankings, with the potential to pass Duncan Idaho this season. His offensive contributions have been critical to Moscow's success over the last 5 seasons, even though he's been one of the most underrated centers in the league. Like Markinson and STZ, I will cherish the final season of Seabasstard and Seabass before we lose them to retirement, and hope that we can send all three members of our leadership team into retirement with the Continental Cup they deserve. MOSCOW MOSCOW MOSCOW!

  12. We're finally at the start of S85 and it definitely feels pretty weird. Seems like forever since S84 ended and the offseason began, even though this has been a fairly short offseason. It's been quite the eventful offseason, so I figured I'd just recap it a bit just to get some TPE out of it and also just put it all in perspective. - Aug 23: Returned from vacation with COVID, had to assess cap stuff for Moscow and begin discussing contracts with pending UFA's. Re-signed Papa Emeritus and extended Tomas Sogaard - Aug 24: Draft prep begins, as well as preliminary trade discussions. - Aug 25: Hired as VHLM Commissioner. Traded Jason Argos and a 3rd for a 2nd in a roster/cap space clearing move. Acquired the rights for Kakapo Bushtit from Seattle for a 4th. Acquired the rights for Jannik Nylen from Toronto for a 4th. Acquired Robert Wilk from Riga for a 4th since Bushtit was heading to FA. Traded Wattson Power to VAN for a 2nd to clear cap space. - Aug 26: VHL Draft! Managed to trade up for Matt Murdock in the first round, snagged Robert Overmeyer and The Mediocre One in the second round. - Aug 27/28: Nico Pearce was basically confirmed to be leaving HSK due to a lack of communication or interest to pick up his mutual option, started exploring options during FA discussion period. Committed to VAN on a one year deal. - Aug 29-Sep 2: World Cup of Hockey began, as well as hiring new M GM's and planning the VHLM Draft. - Sep 3: VHLM Draft somehow went off without any major issues outside a portal bug in processing trades Also not really given a timeline was the ProAM going on in the background, dealing with the collapse of HSK and VHFL going on as well. In addition to the random things that come up daily as an M commissioner. So far it's been pretty fun to work on and make sure the GM's have everything they need to succeed and do well at their roles. Very excited for the season to start tomorrow and to see how VAN and MOS perform!

  22. I am really glad that you've enjoyed your time on Moscow man. You've been a great guy to have in the LR and as a bud to chat with. I'd be most thrilled if the Moscow experience pushed you towards recreating instead of taking that planned break. Maybe GM'ing would be on the cards too!
