Hello @Members! Why does December keep sneaking up on me! I was supposed to be on top of this more this year! Anyway, the holiday season is nearly upon us which for the VHL means our annual charity drive! For those who haven’t been around, a quick recap: Every December in addition to Christmas festivities we hold a charity donation drive to help out communities beyond our own. This will be our sixth year doing the charity drive (which can I just say, holy shit, we've one this 6 years now?!?) with previous drives donating thousands to the Make a Wish Foundation, Food Banks of Canada / Feed America, the Red Cross, SickKids Foundation / St. Jude's, and Doctor's Without Borders. Now we could probably pick a charity ourselves but sometimes we don't make the best decisions, just look at the theme weeks, so we're asking for help! As always you’ll be able to donate to any charity you wish and have it count but the league matching donation and any donated through us will go to the charity that’s chosen. In an ideal world that charity fits a couple of criteria so if you can try to keep them in mind for your suggestions that would be great: Should be something that accepts PayPal donations since all league funds run through that. Should be something with a wide reach and ideally international or at least having Canadian / American equivalents we can split donations between. Nothing political or divisive. So let’s see what you can come up with! Feel free to also discuss your favourites in here if someone suggests something you feel strong about but try to keep it as on topic as possible. Pretty much. If anyone has any qualms with or preferences for either position let us know but we’ll basically pick from the same pool I imagine. Given the close timing of it all @KaleebtheMighty has said he’ll be willing to help with the transition.

I do so hate doing these.... but alas rules are rules and London it appears missed one of their backup starts this season. If they were a playoff team we would have dealt with this already but since there are not we need to handle it in other ways. Therefore the @Commissioner team has decided to dock London's Lottery odds by 5%, evenly distributing 1% extra to each of the other 5 teams. This means the lottery odds for this season are: 1. Prague Phantoms - 26.0% 2. D.C. Dragons - 21.0% 3. London United - 12.5% 4. Los Angeles Stars - 16.0% 5. Helsinki Titans - 13.5% 6. New York Americans - 11.0% That is... horrible looking, but effective at least. As you can see they are still listed 3rd, this is because the usual rules still apply about not dropping more than 1 position so the latest London can get is still 4th, simply their odds at 1st overall have been reduced. Let's try and do better next season @Baby Boomer okay? Also throwing a tag at @Spartan since it'll affect the lotto

The league of course thanks Moon for his time at the helm of one of our oldest franchises but that of course leaves us with a vacancy. PLAYOFF INDEX @VHLM GM Here is your index for the playoffs, we will be starting these tomorrow so please get your lines and such ready in the meantime. The schedule will be the same as always. Games 1 and 2 simmed day 1; 3 and 4 simmed day 2, and any subsequently required games simmed 1 per day. Also as per the rules adding any new players is unfortunately now closed, this is a physical limitation of STHS. However anyone new up until right now have been added to your rosters so you can put them in your lines. Just FYI you've got he bracket for the M wrong. The series are all correct but 1v8 and 4v5 are meant to be on one side with 2v7 and 3v6 on the other. You've got 1v8 and 2v7 on the same side.

Oh probably but the reality is that most weren’t that, especially in the time they had to churn them out.

Argue with @Gustav For what it’s worth I distinctly recall 95% of pitch stuff being copy / paste with just changing out like a username basically and 99% of the time people just signed the first one they were offered so it basically led to GM’s burning themselves out trying to stay on top of recreates constantly. Do I miss the pitches a bit? Yeah. I mean I tried to get GM’s to do it for me for fun before @Spartan decided fun wasn’t allowed but at the end of the day having them on the portal is definitely more fair and even.
