Per the OP: Basically post it this week so the updaters can see that it exists in the right timeframe but you can claim it later.

That already exists, has for a few seasons now. Non-playoff teams enter the lottery tournament. Very little hype. I agree that you don't want to detract from the playoffs, but I still believe that more must be done to keep people interested and involved. This is not just about player activity, but, also retention. Okay but that doesn’t change that it exists. We can’t force people to pay more attention to it if they don’t want to. The players outside the playoffs still have something to look at, how exactly would we make it more appealing to them?

As far as I’m aware that’s actually been ready for awhile. Last I heard it was just waiting on the images which I did. @Dil or @Josh would know more as they were the ones building it.

I'm noticing most of the game threads this season have had 0 responses. In the theme of the day (getting that forum activity up) I challenge you guys to get some activity up in here for day 26. I thought the M was supposedly more hype than this

How we have it sadly is how it works. There’s a PbP breakdown at the bottom of the thread but ultimately when it’s simming there is nothing you can really show except the final score. You just press the button and it does the whole game.

I don’t think anyone is downgrading the impact he had but I can see where Cow is coming from as it basically comes off as “anyone not Beaviss can’t do the job” when he had avenues available to him that got burnt. Also “bringing back” someone who doesn’t want to be here isn’t as simple as it sounds.

Hello @Members! (I know, two pings in one day, god damn these blues) I promise this will be worth the extra ping. While it is theme week and that does mean extra uncapped TPE we wanted to offer a bit more this season. As you may have noticed, and as @GustavMattias pointed out activity is down a little bit. There’s likely a number of reasons for this, the forefront of which is that summer is usually a slower period and we had a large boost from the pandemic which is more or less coming to a close. We aren’t necessarily concerned about this, it was mostly expected, but that doesn’t mean we aren’t keeping an eye on it. So, with that in mind, we wanted to add a little something to the deadline and theme week this season: A suggestion drive. We’ve done these before and they are pretty simple, what you need to do is comment in this thread with 3 suggestions about how you would want to see the league improved. This can be things that other leagues do, things that we used to do and stopped, things that just seem so obvious it’s strange we never tried, whatever you want. Once you do that you can claim your comment (uncapped-> other-> other) as 3 uncapped TPE. A couple of quick notes about this: The thread will lock in 1 week (just so that people don’t come in super late and try to claim it) so get your suggestions in early. Additionally, though it should work out anyway, this has to be claimed before the deadline and cannot he claimed on a player created after the deadline. Same as the theme week basically. You can work off a suggestion someone else posted but at least make sure to add your own opinions and thoughts on the matter, don’t just copy someone else and say “yeah that.” We don’t guarantee that anything suggested will be used but I do guarantee that we’ll at least read them all and comment where we can. Just because a suggestion doesn’t get used doesn’t mean it was ignored or not discussed. If a lot of discussion starts happening (which isn’t a bad thing) we’ll likely branch off a discussion topic on top of this one so that things can get fleshed out more fully. However the more detail you can give the better.

I’ve been saying for a decade now that more people need to use this. Best feature on the site except for during VHFL time when all you see is drafts. I’ll post my more full thoughts later but wanted to just say that now.

This is actually one of those “this is how it used to be done and everyone complained about it back then” things that crop up every now and then, like just buying straight TPE in the player store. That’s not to say of course that it’s a bad idea, it’s not necessarily, but just to explain why it’s not used now: it was. I didn’t do it back then but if I remember correctly what usually happened was someone found what we’ll call a “meta” team and most people just copied it so good team or not a bunch just wound up exactly the same.
