Hey VHL @Members! Anyone who has been around the VHL for awhile will surely know, or at least be vaguely aware, that July 18th, specifically July 18th, 2007, is the VHL's birthday! That means today marks the day that our community turns an incredible 14 years old. As an old fart that has been around since that day I can say that is stuns me every year when this post goes up that we're still going when you consider that leagues back in 2007 rarely made it to 3 years, let alone 14. As always though, we aren't just putting some gifs up and calling it a day, we aren't stupid. We know you clicked on this for the TPE and intend on delivering. To commemorate the league's 14th birthday, we are giving all members a Triples Week, which adds 12 Uncapped TPE to any 6-TPE Point Task (Welfare/Pension/Affiliate PT are not included but as usual if your pay covers your PT that counts), as well as 2 Uncapped TPE. To claim these perks, which naturally add up to 14 Uncapped TPE, all you need to do is post in this thread and then link to that post in your update; that's it. We aren't even making you come up with a memory or anything this year, just a post. Not only are we giving TPE away this year but we're also giving away some bonus items as well because really, what's a birthday without presents? Anyone who comments on this thread, thus getting the bonus mentioned above, will be entered into a draw that contains three copies of NHL 21 (for your console of choice) and an NHL Jersey of your choice. We'll have a live draw for these prizes sometime after the post closes in a week so stay tuned for that. So, to summarize quickly, that's a max of 14 uncapped TPE just for commenting and 4 winners will receive some gifts curtesy of the VHL. All you have to do is post in here and you're good to go. Hey, I don’t even have a VHL player! I wasn’t nominated I was just mentioned because, you know, Lahtinen was awesome.

Generally speaking your best bet is to just not colour it unless you are doing so for creative reasons. Default colour on light mode will go to black and on dark mode will go to white. That way it stays visible to both.

So it turns out that when @Quik, @Victor, and I all get busy right at the end of a season things tend to get a bit messy.... case in point, this thread. The award show is tomorrow and @Doomsday just reminded me that we haven't put up a vote for the Slobo. So, @Members vote now and vote quickly. Voting will be called one the award show starts tomorrow so you've got roughly 24 hours to make it happen. Sorry for the annoyingly short notice, I promise we'll do better.

Generally we prefer putting the vote up before the banners are used as PT’s to avoid member bias in the voting but oh well.

Miscommunication I think between Josh and I where we both thought the other had set it. I set it to open tomorrow. I could have done today but it's coded to auto-close after a week and it's so late in the day that it's better to just open it tomorrow.

SEASON 78 EXPERIENCE POINTS Congratulations to everyone for another fantastic season and a special congratulations to the Warsaw Predators for winning the S78 Continental Cup, the first in franchise history! As always, with the season past, all VHL players have earned some more experience.  How to Claim Claim experience in the Player Management area by clicking the 'CLAIM OFF-SEASON TPE' button and selecting Experience from the dropdown. Enter the amount of Experience you are eligible for as described below and link to this thread.  Once approved, the Experience will be added directly to your player's experience attribute. You do not need to apply it yourself.  NOTE: YOU CAN NOT CARRY OVER EXPERIENCE POINTS EARNED BY A RETIRED PLAYER ONTO A RECREATE  POINTS Full VHL Season - 5 Points Partial VHL Season - 2 points (Less than 72 GP in VHL, unless due to a trade) Playoffs - 2 Points Finals - 1 Point Example: Dakota Lamb played for Warsaw. He gets 5 for a full season, 2 for playoffs, and 1 for finals.
