Obviously this isn’t the outcome Toronto wanted. I’ve been on my share of Victory cup winning teams that can’t make the finals and it’s never fun. Great series from Vancouver though, really well deserved win. I guess @Devise doesn’t need to live sim anymore?

And if Toronto comes back to win everyone will say Devise somehow rigged it despite live simming every game. Ultimately people will always find a way to complain. FWIW I agree with you that it’s amount of “random” isn’t really wrong. Like you said, maybe out of 100 games Toronto wins 75 of them but that doesn’t mean they’re guaranteed to take 4 of 7.

It’s oretty neat. Requires a lot of instructions to kinda figure out how everything works but it’s definitely rewarding to go from a single dirt block to infinite resources, nuclear energy, blood rituals, etc. From what I’ve seen of the new version the old one seems better kind you. New version is basically just a bunch of trees you can automate for resources.

I doubt I’ll have time to join but if I did then you’d better believe I’d become very good at hiding my shit haha

Yes but also you start in a tree growing from a single block of dirt in the sky. There’s no natural resources anywhere, diamond included. You need to create everything from the single tree you start in.

He’s gotta make it to the finals first and getting past Toronto is definitely gonna be tough.

Yeah, it comes with time, and with budget really. I look back on short of the short films I made back in the day and cringe at how horrible they are so you’re definitely further along than I was. Are you working for a company on just as an independent? We’re constantly working with Quebec producers on things and are looking to do a lot more animation projects in the future so I’m just curious.

He’s referring to the fact that the series is tied at two thus, at this point, it’s a best of 3. Every series in total is indeed a best of 7.

Tends to be the case all too often, it gets overlooked as an afterthought and ends up suffering because of it. Sadly poor audio can make or break things sometimes. The sound effects and music were good though so honestly even removing a few of the obviously out of place ones (like the “wow” from the kid) would go a long way.
