Yeah, It is the Off Season!! With training camp starting today, medal rounds starting and ProAm something something the regular drag of the off season should be coming to an end, right? So lets answer some question about off season tournaments and moves completed by the Bossman!! 1. Vancouver Wolves welcome four new players to the roster in Einar Mathiesen, Scrungle Bungle, Eno Velvson and Celise Pereira; Have you had any interaction with these new players? What was it and what was the first thing you said to them? 2. ProAm: Did you join the tournament this off season? If Yes – Then how is your team and player doing in the tournament? If no – why not? 3. World Cup: Was your player selected and for which team or rant about why they should have selected your player? 4. Which team is going to win the World Cup this season? Or does it even really matter? 5. Should off season tournaments have more weight to if your player makes the HoF at the end of their careers? 6. Bouchard & Nordic take on the World…. World Cup of hockey has kept some VHL fans interested in seeing how some of their favorite players fare against the best players in the world or maybe head-to-head against their own team mates. Pierre Marc Bouchard on the back of winning the Continental Cup was selected to play for Team Nordic; which was a bit or a surprise? Bouchard started the tournament strongly with three goals in the first three games but has cooled as Nordic wrapped up the round robin play earlier today finish top of the table with 8-2-0 record with 23pts. Bouchard finished the round robin with 4 goals, 2 assist for 6 points in what might be described by some as disappointing round robin after the quick start seemed like this might have been a coming out party for the young Vancouver Wolve player. Instead, all eyes will be focused on Bouchard to see if he can up his game as the medal round starts tomorrow with Europe versus Europe match followed later in the day by World versus Canada with USA and Nordic waiting the winners. Nordic on a positive note should at least play for a medal even if they choke due to the lack of performance by the young Wolf. Not sure how many are actually paying attention to the tournament as I know I have been passively paying attention rather focused on Christmas activities with the family. Stick with it as it usually takes two or three season before your player will breakout but that also depends in the teams build. Might take longer now that she is with Seattle due to also having Holmes on the back end as well.
