I mean almost all the players Helsinki traded are IA, or a career backup. Trunov is the exception, but at best they earn 7-9 TPE per week on average. I honestly think Helstinki hit this one out of the park!
-
1. Probably the most recent trade since Helsinki fleeced Malmo 2. Panda enclosure in a zoo 3. A AI generated red panda in a deadpool costume 4. not really, but it does create a conflict of interest 5. Sour grapes is unique 6. yes I did!
-
Legend: Yellow = Played for then traded Red = Retired with team Green = Currently on team Purple = appears elsewhere on trade tree
-
The LA kings got a better trade jk, I really like this trade for both teams
-
Thank you @McLovin for the talks! @FrostBeard, thank you very much for your time in Davos, best of luck in Helsinki!
-
The main difference would be that Trunov was never a 100%starting goalie and while the numbers are similar, I do think that the awards would give panda the edge. With that being said Trunov did have a great career in the M and I look forward to seeing what he can do in the VHL! Once Seattle figures out their backup goalie crisis.

1. Should have been us… 2. Always like doing a good media spot 3. Win a cup as GM 4. give me 100 TPE 5. nope 6. discipline

Predicting the Next VHL Continental Cup Winners
Alex replied to badcolethetitan's topic in Media Spots
Ironically Ahma will be in the M this season lol -
Shh, I definitely didn’t just edit it to be post-portal only. Thank you though, it is worth noting that they were here before the portal and had good careers!

Good Morning Everyone, after some brief contract talks earlier this week, we’ll be discussing and taking a dive into the legendary careers of @eaglesfan036's players since the portal era started. Eaglesfan joined the VHL on September 28th, 2013 and while their first player’s career didn’t last long they have had some great careers mixed in. Their first post-portal player Chat would only reach 90 TPE, and would go onto play 216 games in the VHLM. Starting their M career in S60 with Ottawa, Chat would put up 9 goals and 37 assists over the course of the 72 games. Their best season would come in their third and final season with Yukon as they were just shy of a point per game as they had 24 goals and 41 assists for a total of 65 points. Chat would retire with a total of 39 goals and 95 assts for 134 points. Chat would be followed by the even briefer career of King Gow who would reach 70 TPE and would only play 2 seasons in the VHLM after being drafted 21st overall in the M draft. They would retire with a total of 27 goals and 78 points in 142 career games. After two fairly underwhelming careers, we were introduced to Gritty! Part of the S65 draft class, Gritty would play a total of 85 games in the VHLM (38 goals, 86 points) before being drafted 4th overall by the Quebec City Meute. Following the teams relocation to the city of Vancouver, Gritty would play a crucial depth role for three seasons putting up a total of exactly 100 points in 3 seasons and would win their first Continental Cup in S67. Following season 67, Gritty would be traded to Davos along with a 2nd round pick (Blacker Velvet @Higgins) for Aston Martin @Sullvino and a 3rd round pick (Sade Taika). Gritty would only play 1 season with Davos before going to free agency in that season they had 24 goals and 29 assists for a total of 53 points. In free agency, Gritty would make a great decision and sign with the Moscow Menace. With Moscow Gritty became a key piece and would consistently produce at a high level over the course of their 3 seasons where they would have 90 goals and 121 for a grand total of 211 points in 216 games. Most importantly in S70 Gritty would play a major role in winning both the Victory Cup and Continental Cup with 11 points in the 15 games on route to their 2nd cup win! In season 72, the final of their career, their rights would be traded to Prague where they wouldn’t sign and instead choose to return to Vancouver via free agency for the final season of their career. Gritty would retire following a 39 point season with the Wolves. Then came Kevin Malone, the only goalie in today’s deep dive, and another high-earning player with a total of 724 TPE. Malone would be a VHLM star winning both the Mitch Higgins and Benoit Devereux trophies. They would be drafted 18th overall to the London United where they would spend their first 2 VHL seasons. They would then be traded to Moscow, where they would have a very solid 2 seasons posting a 0.918 SV%. They would then be traded again to the D.C. Dragons where they would have the best season of their career with a 0.921 SV%. Malone would retire with a record of 174-158-35, a 0.913 SV% and 15 shutouts. Following Malone, we witnessed the birth of Trade Me, who would join the Saskatoon Wild, play 9 games (5 goals, 3 assists), would never be traded, and would then retire. Then came Free Gorlab, a career VHLM player, who would have a very successful 5 season career with the Mexico City Kings. Free Gorlab would play a total of 291 games for the VHLM team, in which they produced at a high level for most their career, having a total of 70 goals, 178 assists, for a total of 248 points. Lastly, we are at the current player, Blaze Thunderstrike, the 56th overall pick in the S93 draft. Thunderstrike has bounced around the VHLM a fair bit and played one season in the VHLE on route to their upcoming VHL debut. In the VHLE they were above a point per game with 77 points in S95 for Bratislava. After returning to the VHLM they have been extremely solid and have amassed a grand total of 257 points in 326 games. For Thunderstrike, the next stop is the VHL as they will be making their debut with Davos in season 98!

lol, why even have the punishment then? LA's got lessened because they didn't have the pick, not to mention it's their 8th time breaking the same rule. Kind of just seems weird to me.

After being drafted 5th overall in the season 96 draft, Deadpanda would return to the VHLM for season 96 following a contract dispute with Moscow, the team that drafted them. In S96 they would go onto have a very solid season but would truly come into their own in the playoffs where they posted a 0.917 SV%, 1.96 GAA, and 2 SO on route to a Founder’s Cup and playoff MVP honours. Coming into season 97 there were a lot of questions surrounding the young goalie, specifically if they would be able to be a difference maker at a higher level of play and if they would be able to keep up with the increased pace of the game. Deadpanda would do just that as they would go onto post a very respectable 0.915 SV% in the regular season, along with a 2.66 GAA, and 6 SO. With that being said their season started out very rocky as they would allow 6 goals in a 7-5 loss to Prague. They would quickly turn things around though, picking up their 1st win in the next game against London as they would post a 0.906 SV% in the 5-3 win. Deapanda’s season would progress fairly average for the first half of the season, they would pick up their first shutout against the DC dragons in their 12th start, and would slowly improve over the course of the season prior to their last 4 starts where they would falter horribly, allowing a bunch of goals and getting pulled twice, not really the momentum going into the playoffs that would be wanted. Deadpanda would finish the regular season with a record of 42-13-9 in 65 games played. In the playoffs, despite their play going into them, Deadpanda would come alive and post what is currently the highest SV% among all goalies with a 0.932 SV% and the 2nd best GAA with a 2.41. Deadpanda would play very well and was arguably one of the top players of the playoffs, which could surely be a point of argument in their upcoming contract negotiations as they are eligible for an extension following the conclusion of the finals. All-in-all, Deadpanda had an impressive rookie season and could surely be in the conversation for top rookie honours and should just about be a lock for the all-rookie team, which was their goal for this season. Deadpanda is currently looking forward to some much-needed rest this offseason, and plans to enjoy the sun in the Caribbean.

Honestly, I would probably suggest another punishment or it just be waived, it's not fair to punish a new GM for the previous' error.
-
Correct, lotto already happened too
-
Why is Riga’s punishment arguably the worst? Really does not make any sense.
-
Ref is a twat

1. Solid, we were consistent, but falling short is tough 2. probably Moscow 3. Vancouver was the big one 4. yes, Davos wins every season 5. Probably Ironman 6. winter because skiing

With 3 of the 4 first round matchups going to game 7, and me needing to write a article for this week, I figured I might as well dive a bit into each series and what brought us to this point. North American Conference Vancouver (1) vs. Seattle (4) Toronto took out Calgary in game 6, so the only series here remaining is the wildcard Seattle bears taking on the reigning champs. Seattle has nothing to lose here, after a tough wildcard round they found themselves in a difficult spot. So far on their run both The Phantom of the VHL and Giorgiy Costanzov have been crucial to their success, the former has 8 goals and 17 points in 10 games played and Costanzov has been lights out with a 0.928 SV% and a 2.72 GAA. Vancouver on the other side of things has been struggling as their offense just hasn’t materialized with no player being above a point per game (3 with 6 points in 6 games) and Soju has been playing well but will need to be the best goalie in game 7. Seattle carried their momentum from the wildcard into this series taking the first 2 games, but then Vancouver stormed back to win the next 3, taking a 3-2 series lead heading into yesterday’s game 6. In game six, it was all Seattle as they had a dominant 5-2 win, forcing today’s game #7. European Conference Malmo (1) vs. Riga (4) This series has been a weird one for Malmo as their strength in the regular season just hasn’t been there as they have 19 goals against in only 6 games after averaging just over 2 against all season. Lovstrom has been very just average, which has really given Riga a chance especially with their offense having a slight edge on paper. This series has been a close one with Both teams having a turn in the lead, and Malmo having the chance to end the series after being up 3-2 in the series yesterday. With every game being decided by at most 2 goals this should be a close one. Moscow (2) vs. Davos (3) This series has been really close and depth scoring has been crucial as both teams have got production from their entire lineup. Moscow has 6 players with 6 or more points, while Davos has 5. With how high scoring this series has been it could very well come down to the goaltending with Deadpanda currently having the stronger series as they boast a 0.915 SV% in stark contrast to A K-K’s 0.901. Davos will be looking to pull off the upset today in what has been yet another David vs. Goliath type series for the team. Most the games in this series have been very close with the first 4 games being decided by only 1 goal before Moscow broke out to a massive 6-2 win in game #5 to take the 3-2 series lead, Davos then answered back with a 4-2 win of their own to force game 7 and bring us to where we are today. Best of luck everyone with your game today and congrats to Toronto on making the conference finals yet again!

1. Davos in 4 2. Vancouver and out isn’t even close 3. It’s difficult, if anything speed it up 4. being a TPE addict 5. Lemorse told me what to name my player 6. I think the Dallas GM has one too many to drink
-
Could be worse, could be Toronto or Malmo where everyone is retiring
-
1. Future considerations made me laugh 2. a cup, getting out of the conference will be tough, but it is doable! 3. Nope, I never make one 4. Still about 400 TPE to go 5. Nobody since they just vibe by themselves 6. good trade for all parties except Chicago

I mean he did tell my player he would be open to a bonus that was never received... #DeadpandaFA

Let's Invent a Stat: Ranking Every Draft Bust of the S80s
Alex replied to Gustav's topic in Media Spots
Yeah, this was a weird one… I traded for the pick largely because, @kirbithan, @sadie, and them wanted to play together. Sadly it just didn’t pan out.
