  1. Media spot review . This media spot really resonated with me as I myself am in a management position and like yourself . Every person in management wants the best for their team and players and wants to compete . I truly don’t understand how Malmo didn’t compete or end up making the playoffs . And can 100% feel for you in that aspect . 10/10 very well written and incredibly easy to relate too.
  2. LA Stars press conference week ending 01/10/2023 1. Well playoffs aren’t here what is key in order for us to win a championship? 2. What is our biggest strength heading into the playoffs ? 3. What is something we need to address or work on ? 4. In your opinion is there a clear cut favourite at this point in time ? 5. Who was our regular season MVP and why ? 6. What should be our playoff motto ?
  3. Holy moly what a season we had this season , so many breakout players and surprises. There’s quite a bit I could ramble about right now . Here’s a few things I’ll pick . KRZY wins first ever VHFL Pool ! Finally after being mediocre for so many seasons before this one , I finally won a VHFL pool . It did although come right down to the wire ! @Arce held anywhere from a 10 to 30 point lead on me pretty much all season . When @Spartan released the payout thread I was absolutely shocked to see myself three points above RC in first place . RC made me sweat all season and it was a fun battle trying to catch him . Now all I’ve gotta do is figure out Super Coach and I’ll be set MVP race closer then we’ve ever seen before. Early this season I wrote a media spot touching on the many candidates for the season 90 MVP trophy . And sonar thing I can tell you since then is I wouldn’t wanna be the people picking that winner , it’s so close I could honestly see it potentially being shared between 2 players maybe . Oslo falls from grace . Now this one kinda shocked me at first if I’m being honest because at first glance this teams roster really isn’t that bad, in fact they had some really good players at the E level playing for them . Then I scrolled down and saw they had an inactive goalie just above the threshold for the TPE cutoff . And it all made since that was the teams Achilles heel this season . One thing I know from my time in the E with Oslo is the team is full of resilience and good people , They always find a way to be competitive. @Gaming Ringleader is too good of a GM I suspect he’ll find a way to return this team to the playoffs and Renaissance cup sooner rather then later! Season 91 and 92 drafts look stacked ! Looking ahead to the future now both season 91 and 92 look stacked with recreates and exceptional players in both classes so far . I’m especially looking forward to seeing the careers of the 91 class play out in the next couple seasons . If they’re anything like the 81 class we’re in for quotes the treat. Here’s to hoping ! Playoff Prediction. Im gonna end this with a fun one I think ! Here’s my prediction for the final two teams that will face off in the finals , Closing out the season HOT ! I think the LA Stars will find a way to will themselves to the finals and finally silence their recent playoff demons ! Coming out of the EU I really honestly think it could be either Prague or Davos but I’m giving the slight edge to Davos to return to the finals . Lachlan @kirbithan has been too good this season and I think he will carry that into the playoffs. Well there you have it folks there’s my end of season ramblings . Let me know if you agree or disagree I’d love to hear your opinions ! Good luck to all heading into the playoffs this season !

    Congrats @Berocka well deserved!!
  5. LA Stars press conference 09/24/2023 Better late then never 1. We’ve recently been stuck in the mud and in a slump as of late how can we turn that around ? 2. Who’s been our MVP this season ? 3. who do you think has been the league MVP ? 4. Who do you think will be our biggest challenge come playoff time? 5. what’s been the biggest surprise this season ? 6. Who you got as an early season Stanley Cup favourite?
  6. With 9 games left in the season Cooke has set new career highs in nearly every single stat recorded . He’s put up 102 points so far 11 higher then his previous high of 91. 40 goals and 62 assists . Both new highs aswell . Cooke has also put up career highs in Hits and shots . And looks like he could be well on his way To setting new highs in game winning goals and power play goals . Needing 3 respectively in both category . Cooke has been lights out and brought his A game every single game this season . ” All the individual success is nice to see and have , but ultimately I want to win a championship and see my team have success that’s what really matters to me at the end of the day .” Cooke recently have this quote in a post game interview. As the season winds down it’ll be fun to see where Cooke finishes and also to see if LA can finally silence their playoff demons.
  7. As the regular season winds down the MVP race is closer then ever . There are 2 clear cut candidates for the league MVP those players are Todd cooke of the LA Stars and Jason @Jason kranz of the DC Dragons. Other candidates that could garner votes are goaltender Lachlan Summers @kirbithan , Art Vandelay @Gustav Perennial Candidate and former league MVP Ronan Lavelle @Arce , Defensive standout Ryuji Sakamoto @der meister . Let’s take a look at why each of these players is deserving of taking home the MVP trophy. Todd Cooke Cooke has single-handedly willed the LA Stars into the playoff picture , instantly clicking with newcomers Napoleon Dynamite @thadthrasher and Svatopluk Puk @Otaznik . Cooke has lead the league in most statistical categories at one point or another this season . He lead the league in points for a better part of the season recently getting passed in the last sim by Jason. Cooke has absolutely shattered his career highs on his way to an MVP Calibre season cracking the 100 point mark. Cooke has without a doubt been the Stars MVP all season and in my opinion should be a favourite in the voting Jason Coming from the same draft draft class as Cooke and coming over to DC in an off season trade Jason has found instant chemistry with Sakamoto and VLG @vincentlg2007. Jason has been the top goal scorer pretty much all season long and recently over took Cooke in the points lead . Jason is a real threat to Cooke in the MVP race as he is just as deserving of the title . And nobody should be surprised if he won the award. Jason is an impact player and a lethal goal scorer whose importance to his team can’t be overlooked. Lachlan Summers Summers has put Davos on his back this season leading the league in Wins , Shutouts , and save % . Summers is also Third in GAA . Summers solid season in net has no doubt been instrumental in Davos looking to repeat as Cup Champs this season . In my open if Jason or Cooke don’t win MVP Summers will. Art Vandelay Vandelay has quietly put together a solid MVP. worthy season as well , while the stars are no longer in first place . I don’t think they would be where they are without Vandelay and his lights out season he’s been having . Definitely a dark horse MVP season if you ask me ! Ryuji Sakamoto Sakamoto came outta nowhere this season he’s alaways been a solid defenceman but this year he’s really carried the Dragons blue line . Creating a lot of offence from the back end no doubt and instrumental part of team mate Jason’s strong season aswell , Sakamoto has been leading the league in assists for a long time this season and has great defensive numbers aswell . He’s done exactly what the Dragons knew he could for them when he was acquired . Ronan Lavelle The grizzled vet is never far away from league MVP conversations. Playing his final season in Toronto this season he’s been a big part of their turnaround and ascension to the top of the NA conference . Lavelle has been having a farewell season where he once again could find himself winning and MVP trophy when it’s all said and done . there you have it there’s a few players I feel all have had deserving seasons this year . While like I said I believe it’s a two horse race at the end of the day . Any one of the other players mentioned could take it home and wouldn’t be surprised one bit.
  8. I’m just happy to get some recognition, either player was deserving
  9. It’s been a fun season , Both having huge seasons lol !!
  10. Happy to be even considered as a steal in my draft class , heck of a career so far @Jason kranz
  11. Honestly I think it’s easier then you make it out to be , most teams from my experience run the same or similar lines all season so you could easily go back and look at duo’s or trios that way , or you just go off stats and pick a group from a team . I like the the idea and think it could be a great addition to the “team” awards section
  12. LA Stars Press Conference Week Ending 09/17/2023 1. Who do you think has been most improved team or player this season ? 2. It’s theme week and keeping in the spirit of theme week has your player ever been FISTED ANALLY BY A CIRCUS MONKEY ? 3. what team do you think is being overlooked right now at this point of the season? 4. Is there a team you think is overachieving? 5. Is there any area of your players game you want to improve ? 6. What could the LA Locker room use for a freshener ?
  13. Cooke without a doubt wouldn’t be having the season he is without how good LA is playing as a whole . And I’m quite proud of how far I’ve come as a first gen player from as you said claiming welfare pretty much all summer last year , to max earning the last 5 seasons and getting whatever I can whenever I can for TPE . I just thought this was a fun idea for a theme week spot
  14. I kinda dropped the ball with pre planning for banking , I think I’m just gonna have to try and manage/maintain as best as I can , then learn from it for my recreate
  15. I’m entering my first season of regression or depreciating as it’s called next season and I’m trying to figure out the best way to gear up and fight it , I know there’s fighters you can buy and everything from the store and I’m just about to the point where I’m happy enough with my players build to bank everything between them and now . Now that all being said I know I should’ve planned a bit better and banked everything this season to lessen the blow of everything regressing , I’m planning on saving all of my income and everything to get a fighter , do I bank everything next season too ? Do I put everything I banked back into my build and bank everything once I depreciate ? Do I wait until my last season to get a fighter ? just a first gen looking for some helpful advice and I’ll take whatever I can get !! thanks appreciate the help !
  16. Ya Now this is just purely a theme week piece. I couldn’t really think of anything in terms of people being FISTED ANALLY BY A CIRCUS MONKEY that really stood out to me as I’m still just a first gen and haven’t been around here that long to accurately give my opinion on the topic . Now some of you may disagree and argue that I could’ve found something but I honestly couldn’t. So I decided to go this route ! Todd Cooke was and exciting prospect in the season 84 draft class . Now I know 84 was full of promising recreates and even better first gen players then Cooke at the time . But Cooke was and always had been a determined hard working individual whose been driven to be the best . Strictly based on earning and activity I don’t think anyone would’ve or could’ve predicted how good Cooke would turn out to be . currently ranked 6th in TPE and 1st in TPA in the Season 84 draft class . Cooke has solidified his position as one of the top players not only from Season 84 but in the league . This is where I will now got to my point of this media spot Cooke was drafted 27th overall the only players ahead of him that I believe deserve to still be ahead of him In a redraft are Art Vandelay @Gustav Napoleon Dynamite @thadthrasher Pierre Emile Bouchard @Gaikoku-hito AK92 Wit Da Hoodie @hedgehog337 and Molly the Cat @JCarson each of these players have solidified there positions ahead of Cooke . But that moves Cooke from 27 to 6 . Cooke was FISTED ANALLY BY A CIRCUS MONKEY in the draft and wasn’t picked where he should’ve been or deserved to be picked . Every single other player picked ahead of Cooke has either went IA or proved to not be as valuable. To their Franchise. Another instance where you could argue Cooke was FISTED ANALLY BY A CIRCUS MONKEY was losing out on the S88 Dustin Funk trophy for most improved player in the VHL . S88 was a coming out party for Cooke to establish himself in the VHL and he did that and more . Absolutely shattering previous career highs , and without a doubt being a deserving candidate for the Funk trophy . In many peoples Opinions Cooke deserved to take it home even . Many professional hockey minds also think Cooke has been FISTED ANALLY BY A CIRCUS MONKEY and overlooked when it comes to the Scott Boulet trophy in past seasons , Cooke is a very good two way forward and continues to get better , A lot of insiders are wondering when he will break through and no longer be FISTED ANALLY BY A CIRCUS MONKEY from the recognition he deserves oh so much. Now like I said I don’t totally feel this way at all and I tried to write as an insiders point of view in the media . Do I feel like Cooke has long been overlooked and maybe even slightly FISTED ANALLY BY A CIRCUS MONKEY in some aspects . Yes 100% , but at the same time I know he has to earn everything and work for it . And he’s finally getting some of that . Hopefully it continues because that man has worked hard to get where he is today ! ( like I said the whole point of this spot was theme week and I severely over exaggerated how I actually feel to capture the theme ! ) thanks for giving this a read everyone ! Hope you all enjoyed it !
  17. LA Stars centre Todd Cooke has been on fire to start the season leading the league in points and among the leaders in goals and assists . As well as plus minus . This season Cooke has worked hard and grabbed the proverbial bull by the horns to lead the LA Stars offensively on the ice being a driver for the team. Cooke has also stepped up in the leadership department wearing an A for the team for the second season in a row . This season looks like Cooke could set career best numbers in goals assists and points . And while he’s been very productive on the scoresheet Cooke has also been improving his defensive and physical game this season as well ultimately developing into a premier two way centre man that teams covet in this league . it’s finally nice to see all the hard work that this long time LA Star has put in finally pay off !
  18. We are at the 1/3 mark of the regular season in season 90 . And that’s usually where I do my comparisons to NHL counterparts . I’m particularly excited to share this seasons edition with how special a team the Stars are this year. Without further a do let’s get started . Forwards Napoleon Dynamite @thadthrasher Jack Eichel I think this is the perfect comparison for the resident dancing guru on the Stars , Dynamite has always been an Uber talented forward , This season with the Stars Dynamite has experienced a real breakout season and found some nice chemistry with long time Star Todd Cooke ! Dynamite is a full 200 foot player and has come as advertised when LA traded for him in the off season. Todd Cooke Leon Draisaitl Cooke has started this season on an absolute tear , looking to finally establish himself as a top tier centre in the VHL . Boy has he done that and more a leader or near the top of most statistical categories this season Cooke has done a good job at putting himself in the Conversation with other top players in the VHL . I for one can’t wait to see where he will be sitting when the season comes to an end. Svatopluk Puk @Otaznik Mitch Marner Puk also came over in the trade with New York in the off season and has been everything LA has needed and wanted when they acquired him , Puk had been on an absolute year the last few sims currently sitting with 33 points in 27 games . Once he found his feet and got up and running he hasn’t looked back . Puks an exciting 2 way winger and has proven to be an important piece to the puzzle for the Stars this season. Sunglasse Joyo @JetsGoalie101 Andrei Kuzmenko The Fan favourite Sunglasses wearing Centre has been crucial for the Stars this on special teams , Joyo has been lights out on the power play and penalty kill and every other situation the Stars have put him in he’s succeeded. Always willing to put the team first . Joyo is nearly producing at a point per game , if he keeps capitalizing on his opportunities I see him producing at a point per fame or better by the end of this season . All while wearing his Sunglasses. Gregger Mckeggegger @TheNeonShaman Nick Richie Mckeggegger is a HUGE. Power forward who uses his size and skill to get to the dirty areas and wear his opponent’s down , this young promising winger is gonna be tremendously good once he fully develops and adjusts to the VHL game fully . Mckeggegger is only gonna continue to get better as his career progresses. Adam Rage @MrMom Blake Coleman Rage is another hard nosed young player in the Stars lineup , plays hard every night and like Mckeggegger goes to this dirty area to make the play . Rage was a late addition to the team in the offseason but what a welcome addition he’s been. Hopefully this is just the beginning of rages success in LA. Defence Elais Lampi @Pifferfish Cale Makar The newest addition to the LA Stars backend reminds me a lot of Makar in that he’s always in the right position to make a play and sees the ice so incredibly well. Lampi was acquired early this off season and he’s been a solider on the back end and looks like he will be the top d man on this team for many years to come . Callum Murray @Berocka Victor Hedman The longtime Stars defender is in his final season as a member of the Stars , this hard hitting blue liner is everything you could ever want in a Defenceman and a captain to your team . This year LA will no doubt try and win a cup for him in his farewell season. Jens Lekman @Bobcat Miro Heiskanen Lekman is a returning young player this season with a lot of upside ! He will join Lampi as the future of the Stars blue line for seasons to come ! Lekman is very rarely caught out of position . He seemingly always does the right thing with the puck . Lekman is truly an important piece to the Stars ! Goalies Art Vandelay @Gustav Ilya Sorokin Vandelay has been a top goalie and one of the best in the VHL for a longtime now so it’s not surprising that I compared him to sorokin he truthfully deserves every word of that praise . Vandelay is in the midst of a career season right now and doesn’t look to be slowing down at all anytime soon. Matthew Mckagg @Jack kidd Stuart Skinner Mckagg is a young goalie full of promise making his debut for the Stars , under Vandelays guidance and tutalage he could turn out to be a very good goalie in years to come . @InstantRockstar Joe Sakic Rockstar is always finding ways to improve his team and make them better , whether it’s finding talent in the draft or making trades . Rockstar always has the best interest of his team in mind . And that sure shows this season as he’s turned LA into a powerhouse in the season. there you have it some of these comparisons we’re no brainers some were harder then I thought they’d be , hope you enjoy reading this and cheers !!
  19. When will we be able to see the point totals for teams ?
  20. LA Stars Press Conference Week Ending 09/10/2023 1. we’ve been on fire this season , do you see us carrying this momentum all year ? 2. We currently have a few players on pace for career best years , who’s impressed you most ? 3. Is there anything we could improve on this season ? 4. how’s your VHFL team doing so far this season ? 5. Who’s your early Stanley Cup winner prediction ? 6. What has been the most interesting storyline in the VHL so far this year ?
  21. I don’t think he has the help around him to completely light everything on fire this year . I know he’s playing with hall but I don’t think that’s enough
  22. Am I the only one who thinks he’s gonna take a couple seasons to break out like jack Hughes did ?
