  1. Sounds good thanks man , excited to see this play out
  2. Well Todd Cooke is entering his 4the Season in the VHL and 5th season of his career . This milestone and point in his career has made me slowly start to think about my next player I will make when Cooke retires. I have 2 ideas so far and honestly I’m not sure which way I’ll go yet. First off I think a Gritty winger moulded after a Ryan Smyth type player is more what I’m leaning towards . Just a big physical body who is always in the play and never scared to go in the dirty areas on the ice . The second option I’m thinking is a big puck moving d man like a victor Hedman or chris pronger , I love playing defence when I play hockey personally and I think it could be really fun to make a good defenceman in this league and see how he progresses. I don’t have any names chosen yet or any remote ideas at this time . But those will probably honestly be spur of the moment choices anyways . I like to think on the spot sometimes.
  3. Where can we see rosters ? Definitely interested to see who makes the cut to represent you both !
  4. Oslo Press Conference Week ending 06/04/2023 1. We won what set us apart from Rome in the Finals ? 2. Now that you’ve had a couple days to digest and enjoy the cup how does it feel to be a VHLE Champion? 3. how will you spend you day with the cup ? 4. How did you and your teammates celebrate the night we won the cup ? 5. What are your plans for this off season ? 6. What are you plans moving on to next season ?
  5. I’ve procrastinated long enough I figure it’s time to release another edition of my Rambles. Todd Cooke has arrived Cooke finished tied for the lead in points on the LA Stars with 83 points , Second in goals with 35 , and tied for second in apples with 48. This year was a real coming out party for Cooke and is just a taste of what’s yet to come for this youngster in the next couple of seasons. Cooke bet on himself and signed a 1 year show me deal with LA coming into S88 . That bet has paid off huge as @InstantRockstarhas recently re signed Cooke for S89 and S90. Hopefully the LA Stars will take the league by storm in this next 2 seasons as their core is all for the most part set to return and be together for the next while . In the meantime while we see how things play out in LA Cooke has his sights set on making the team Canada roster for the upcoming World Cup tournament . Cooke has said right from his draft year that this was a goal of his and it is very well in reach and could be accomplished in the next few days as rosters are selected . “ representing your home country is every kids dream growing up , and I just hope I’ve done enough to garner up some consideration for this , it truly would be an honour “. Oslo Wins it The Oslo storm seemingly don’t know how to say die or take a step back . This season started and their spark they’ve been known for and had the last few seasons had seemingly fizzled out . They were a fringe wildcard team for a better part of the year. But @JB123 wasn’t ready to curl over and die just yet . In a last itch effort to make the playoffs he made some moves at the trade deadline to strengthen Oslo upfront and boy did that ever happen . Oslo finished in third place and was once again matched up with the Express in the playoffs and for the third time in four seasons they came out on top a hard fought 7 game series . They would end up beating Rome in 6 games and win their 3rd Renaissance cup in the last 4 years. What’s next ? Will Oslo have to finally rebuild ? Will they stay competitive? These are all questions we’ll have to wait to get answered . One things forsure Oslo is not a team you can or should sleep on , nor can you count them out ever. Toms lands in Houston theres a new rookie on the block . @Ktoms22 is set to be drafted in the upcoming S89 draft and is looking like he could be a mid round steal for any team looking for a bright active player with a good future in the league . Toms was signed as a waiver pickup at the beginning of the season with Houston and quickly became a household name there. He finished the season at about .5 points per game witch is good for any waiver pickup first gen player . One thing for certain is Tom’s will be a big time player in the VHLM this coming season after he is drafted . Don’t sleep on this young stud ! He worth the pick !

    TPA Recall

Todd Cooke TPA Recall for passing PA 30 ~20
  7. Todd Cooke broke through on his journey to establish himself as a top player in the VHL this season ! Cooke set career highs in goals assists and points with 35 goals 48 assists and 83 points . While Cooke didn’t achieve the goals he set for himself ( 40 plus goals , 55 plus assists and 100 points ) he did put himself on the map ! Going forward Cooke is hoping he has done enough to put himself in the conversation and running to make team Canada in the World Cup tournament this off season . The tournament would help Cooke further establish himself as a big time player and get his name out there even more . Going forward on a bright up and coming LA Stars team Cooke looks to improve even more and set more career highs , and maybe even win a Championship in Season 89 . Stay tuned to see if these reasonable goals are achieved , and if Cooke makes team Canada.
  8. Oslo Press Conference week ending 05/28/2023 1. we did it ! What was key to our success against Cologne this past round of the playoffs ? 2. Cologne was a tough matchup for us , what was the turning point ? 3. The finals against Rome is a S86 finals rematch how do we matchup with them ? 4. What’s brought us together as a team not just this year in the playoffs but the regular season as well. 5. Oslo has had lots of success in the regular season and playoffs in the past couple seasons what’s set them apart from other teams ? 6. what’s it gonna take to capture our third renaissance cup in the last four seasons ?
  9. @leandrofg congrats on a good season , was a hell of a series
  10. love you @youloser1337
  11. Is there such a thing ?
  12. Well it wouldn’t be playoffs in the VHLE without the Oslo Storm and the Cologne Express playing eachother in a series at some point . Over the last 3 seasons the express and storm have met in the playoffs with Oslo winning 2 of 3 series . Now as much as I’m sure @leandrofg and @JB123 love the competition, I’m sure they are getting tired of matching up with each other as well . A few theme weeks ago I covered this rivalry so I won’t go into the history much more but I will preview the series and what you can expect ! Here we go ! Now these 2 teams finished 2nd and 3rd in the VHLE with the express finishing with 95 points and the storm finishing with 92 . While they finished close to each other in the standings. the season series was very much one sided with Cologne taking it 7 games to 2 . But we all know that the regular season means nothing in the playoffs . Offensively I give the edge to Oslo they were 1 goal short of finishing with the top offence in the league . As well as 3 30 goal scorers , Oslo’s depth up front was top of the league in S88. Now Cologne shouldn’t be taken lightly either as they had 2 40 goal scores and solid depth scoring of their own. This series will prove to be a barn burner and should be very exciting . Defensively these teams are both evenly match aswell they were two of the better defensive teams all year . The defensive systems both these teams play could prove to be the game changer . Whichever team plays better in the d zone and shuts down the high power offence of the other will have the edge for sure . Goaltending it would seem that Cologne would have the early edge but Oslo’s goalies played very well this year too , and we all know that STHS can be a different animal come playoffs ! So I can’t really give a clear cut edge either way ! These 2 teams know eachother so well and even though Cologne absolutely dominated the regular season this series will be closer then you think . With both @leandrofg and @JB123 making adjustments after ever sim. You can bet on both these GMs taking pride in winning this series as bragging rights are at stake this season , JB could take a 3-1 lead in playoff series or Leandro could knot it up at 2-2 and make the rivalry even more exciting. I’m looking forward to this that’s for damn sure. The X factor / game changer will be the game within the game ( strategies and adjustments) whoever capitalizes and makes the right choices will and should take the series in conclusion this series will be exciting any way you look at it ! I truly believe it will mimic last seasons finals and go to 7 games and although either team could win I’m gonna be slightly biased and say olso takes it in 7 . stay tuned and keep an eye on this series folks !!
  13. Todd Cooke and the LA Stars Season and playoff run was cut short by the Vancouver Wolves. The Stars started off the Wildcard series very strong dominating the first 2 games and winning in decesive fashion . Vancouver quickly rallied tho and won the next three to take the series . Cooke made huge strides in his game and I truly believe he put himself on the map this season as a big time player with a big future ahead of him in this league . The Stars also had a season of growth after a major overhaul in the off season . I believe that next season they will come out even better then season 88 and really be a team to be reckoned with . All this being said the way the season came to a premature end was very disappointing to say the least as thing finally were starting to look up for the Stars after multiple years of struggles in the NA conference. let’s hope they can turn it around and right the ship next season !! Stay tuned to find out and see if that’s the case
  14. Oslo Press Conference week ending 05/21/2023 1. Playoffs are her and we once match up with the express in a series .It wouldn’t be playoffs in the VHLE unless that was happening how do we capitalize and come out on top ? 2. What are the keys to success in the playoffs ? 3. What’s your pre game routine look like ? 4. How do you keep yourself occupied on road trips in the European league ? Whether it be plane train or bus? How do you spend you roadtrips ? 5. Bauer hockey has been contacted to potentially come on as one of Oslo’s core sponsors what do you think of this ? 6. What’s your favourite thing about Oslo ?
  15. With 4 games remaining the LA Stars are trying to solidify their position going into the playoffs currently they are 5th and look like they will play in the wildcard games to decide 4th place . But anything can happen. LA has loads of talent on their team in all positions but lately they have looked like they will play the underdog and look to upset other teams in the playoffs this season. My question is can they play spoiler and have a Cinderella run to a championship . IF the Stars play their game and all of their players come to play every single night I have a firm belief they can in fact go on a run and win a championship this season . The Stars have 6 players over the 1000 TPE mark 3 forwards 2 defence and their starting goalie. If the big names and high end players find their game and stay consistent they will be a team to be reckoned with. @InstantRockstar has done a good job assembling a very good team in the VHL this season let’s see if his hard work pays off !
  16. Well the regular season is almost over and I thought this week would be a good time to review my VHFL team . The last couple of season I haven’t really done the greatest usually finishing 5th or 6th . This season I took a major step forward and even led my group for a couple of weeks , now as some of my players I picked fizzled out I dropped to 4th place but this is still easily my best year I’ve had in VHFL . Let’s take a quick look back at who I picked for my team . Forwards Vinny Detroit I think going into this season most people would have picked Vinny where I did . There’s no way we could’ve predicted his regression in what’s his final season of his career . Currently Vinny has 31 points in 67 games, a major step back from the 86 he had last season . Even with this set back Vinny is delivering in the hits department with 298 this season . Currently Vinny is good for 161.3 points in fantasy , a very solid pick given his set backs in his retirement season. Vasile Lamb Vasile was my next pick at forward and has given me the most fantasy points out of my forward’s with 221.9 . Vasile is producing at almost a point per game clip with 67 in 68 . And is also second in the VHL in the hits department . Lamb was a home run for where I selected him , he’s looking like he will be a solid pick next season as well. Todd Cooke I went with my gut and picked my own player with my last pick and he’s proved to be a solid pick . Currently he has 78 points in 68 games . While not the most physical player he has added value to my team as a forward. He’s been good for 162.6 fantasy points. Cooke was one of my better players earlier this season when he was in the top ten for goals and points , but as I noted earlier when I said certain players fizzled out Cooke was one of those players , in the last 15 to 20 games Cooke’s production has dropped immensely. All in all he was a solid last pick and could look to be a player selected by more teams next season. Defencemen Brian Payne Payne was my first pick and has carried my team all season . Payne is third in defenceman scoring this season with 81 points , And I believe he’s the highest scoring player in the league in terms of fantasy points with 270.6 points . Payne looks like he will continue to be a very very Productive in the VHL and also fantasy . Payne was a fantastic pick and I don’t think I would’ve selected anyone other then him as my first pick . Callum Murray Murray has been a solid defender all season and is my second highest scorer in terms of fantasy points with 230 points. Murray is producing at almost a point per game with 64 points in 68 games for LA , Murray has 172 hits to go along with his 189 blocked shots aswell which happens to be good for third in the league. Murray is a top fantasy defenceman and again a pick that I wouldn’t change . Art Vandelay Art currently has 182.5 fantasy points , and is tied for 5th in the league with 32 wins , Vandelay has been a very solid goalie in the VHL for a few seasons now . Vandelay always gives his team a chance to win and is a very safe pick going forward in the next few seasons to come ! In closing while there are a few things I may have done differently while drafting my team im very satisfied with how they’ve performed with every player delivering one way or another . And I look forward to picking an even better team next season.
  17. Oslo Press Conference Week ending 05/14/2023 1. Oslo has been steadily climbing the standings , how can we keep this momentum rolling ? 2. Where do we rank going into the playoffs playing aswell as we have as of late ? 3. we’re finally starting to see some nice weather in Oslo . How are you spending your days here ? 4. are you superstitious? If so in what ways ? 5. who’s the favourite going into the VHL playoffs ? 6. now that the draft lottery has come and gone what are your thoughts ?

    KRZY Rambles

I think I’ve procrastinated long enough while trying to figure out what to write for this weeks media spot . So Im gonna bring back my rambling’s for this week and talk about a few different topics as I can’t narrow it down to just one . Oslo Heating up ! After being mid tier for a better part of the season and having numerous inconsistent sims this year , The oslo Storm have started to find their way and heat up down the stretch . Oslo has approached this year with the score by committee approach and it has worked for them with numerous players having excellent statistical years. @JB123 has shown yet again why he is one of the best GM’s in the VHLE taking this team from a team that was barely .500 at points in the season to a team that is now just 5 points out of 1st place in the E . Oslo once again looks like a force to be reckoned with going into the playoffs . This is gonna be a fun one folks let’s see if the storm can play for a cup for the fourth year in a row ! Cooke cracks 1000 TPE Todd Cooke has recently crack the 1000 TPE plateau. Cooke has put the league on notice this season and joined the conversation as one of the top players in the league this season . The next goal for Cooke will be 1250 TPE , then if he surpasses that milestone I would like to see if I can crack the top 25 all time TPE leaderboard although that seems highly unlikely it still is something worth striving for . We’ll see if that goal is attainable. Kyle Tom’s preps for draft Kyle Tom’s has spent his first season in the VHLM prepping for the draft and trying to build his player to be a productive scoring winger . @Ktoms22 is still finding his way in terms of earning and figuring out how the league works . But I have faith that once he brings everything together there’s no reason he can’t put together a strong career for himself ! I’m my opinion he could very well end up being a steal in the Season 90 draft coming up . Only time will tell folks ! Marner going out with a bang ! Brendan Marner @MetalToday is closing his career out with a bang leading the VHL in goals and points with 39 and 85 respectively. Marner looks like he’s well in his way to having himself another 100 point season while possibly breaking the 50 goal mark for the first time as well . Marner has had a very productive career I truly believe we could see him end up in the Hall of Fame when it’s all said and done . I know one thing he’s definitely got my vote ! Continental Cup Favourite ? Is there a clear cut favourite this season ? Im not too sure . Well Prague has to be coming out of the EU conference, but in the NA I think it’s a little closer then the standings indicate, each of the teams in the top 4 have had huge bright spots this season as well as lows . Seattle , Chicago , Calgary , and LA all have the talent to go on a run and win the Continental Cup outright ! It’s gonna be exciting to see how things shake out going down the stretch and into the playoffs .
  19. Game 442 recap prague vs vancouver this game was the definition of a goalie battle where 2 teams gave everything they had to the goalies to end up with a 2-1 result . Prague would hop out to an early 1-0 lead in the first period . They would carry on to dominate the rest of the first and second periods . Brandt fuhr would keep Vancouver in the game until Henry Eagles would knot things up early in the third . That however would not be enough and would be as close as they would come tho , as Kauppi would respond and put the game away for Prague . Final score 2-1 .
  20. Oslo press conference week ending 05/07/2023 1. Trade deadline has come and gone what do you think our new additions can bring to the table ? 2. who’s the team to beat post Trade Deadline ? 3. Rip Wheeler was seen hosting a roping class with all proceeds going charity , did you attend this event ? If so how was it ? 4. What’s the key to playoffs success ? 5. @JB123 has to be knocking at the door for a VHL GM job ! Is he next in line ? 6 . with the first round of the playoffs almost over who do you got going all the way ?
  21. LA Stars Centre Todd Cooke started the season out red hot atop the league in goals and points . Over the last 4 games he has gone pointless and has 3 points in the last 9 . Is there cause for concern ? I don’t think so yet Cooke has shown time and time again this season that he can be relied on when needed , Cooke is still among the league leaders in the above categories and shares the league lead for game winning goals. Everyone struggles or has dry spells . And I believe that’s what Cooke is going through right now at this point in time ! Cooke is in the midst of a coming out season where he has improved ten fold and has been a leader on the Stars this season . Trying to lead by example on and off the ice ! How he answers and ends the slump is the true question, because really it’s only a matter of time before this talented player starts producing like he was earlier in the season this year . Only time will tell but it believe this is only a small bump in the long road this season that Cooke will overcome soon .
  22. Game 326 recap DC vs Calgary this game featured 2 teams at opposite ends of the NA standings the Dragons and Wranglers. For a game that you think would’ve been one sided with Calgary coming out on top , it was the opposite. DC would jump out to the early lead in the first and hold it until the second period where Calgary would score 2 early . D.C would score 2 more in just over a minute near the end of the second putting them up 3-2 Will Fultch would score in the 3rd putting this game to bed and the Dragons up 4-2 final score . The Dragons showed a lot of heart and determination in this game earning the win .
