  1. D - Bo Johansson Sorry for the late pick!
  2. 1. I always want to keep getting better. I am setting my personal expectations pretty high. 2. I think we are a strong team who is ready for any challenge. 3. I don’t think so. I think we are still tough and have a strong enough team to compete. 4. I think Vancouver is gonna be a strong team. 5. Gotta be Zach Kisslinger II. 6. I think that London will be surprising this year.
  3. 1. How is your player doing so far in the playoffs? He was doing fine, but could have done more. 2. Who (or which team) has been most surprising so far in the playoffs? Moscow Menace. 3. We are currently down 0-2 and getting embarrassed by Moscow, largely due to superb defense and goaltending by the Menace. What can we do to turn things around now that we lost 2 home games? We tried our hardest. They have a great team and I hope they continue their success. 4. Assume you are entering your final year of VHL as a free agent, which team would you choose to sign for to finish your career? I would go wherever I am wanted, but I think I have grown fond of this team a bit too much. 5. What are your thoughts on the North American conference, where the top 2 seats are oust in the first round? I love it. It's fun to watch some unexpected outcomes happen. 6. What are your thoughts of the early NHL season? I am loving it. I could have never predicted this type of start to the season.
  4. 1. Playoffs is about to begin for us, how do you feel about our first round match up? Im feeling excited. They are a good team, but I am confident that we will win. 2. How did your player do in the regular season? A lot better than his previous season. He was able to score over 20 goals and over 50 points! 3. We didn't meet either of my expectations (everyone 20+ goals / 7 ppg players). Did I set expectations too high or did we slowed down near the end of season? I think we may have just slowed down a little bit, but that's okay. 4. What are your player's playoffs expectations? There is some VHLM and VHLE experience in the playoffs, making it through multiple rounds. 5. Who will be our most difficult playoffs opponent? I feel like saying somebody other than the team we are currently going against will jinx us, so HC. 6. Who will be our playoffs MVP? Gotta be Wumbo.
  5. 1. The end of regular season is in sight and I had a look at our team finances, cupboard, and draft picks... when does a team need to start worrying about salary cap problems moving forward? I think a team should always have some worry about cap. Cap issues always cause problems when it is not taken seriously. 2. Looking at our roster stats, is it more likely to see every skater score 20+ goals or 7 skaters get point per game at season end? I think both are likely, but the 20+ goals seems to be more likely. 3. Having locked up top seat for the playoffs, which team do you wish to see us play first in round one of the playoffs? A battle against HC Davos Dynamo would be a fun time. 4. What has been most surprising so far this season? My own production, especially when comparing my stats to last year. 5. NHL regular season is just around the corner, which team gets your vote to end the season with the P? New York Rangers 6. Which NHL team is your favourite team and why do you cheer for them? Montreal Canadiens. I was born into loving that team, so I can't quit now.
  6. With our 14-point lead in first, do you plan to keep pushing, or let your body rest a little for the playoffs? The grind never stops. I gotta keep pushing and get better. Did you expect to be where we are now at the beginning of the season? I had high hopes, but I had no idea that we would be doing so well. What does your player do in the intermissions? (Between periods) He drinks a lot of water on the bench so he usually empties the tank. Are you excited for the start of the NHL regular season for most teams on Tuesday? Any hot takes you want to talk about? I am very excited. As my favorite team is the Canadiens, I have the bias hot take that they will do a lot better this season. I am interested to see the first year stat comparison between Slafkovsky and Wright. The Canadian Thanksgiving is upon us, do you have any plans for this Thanksgiving weekend? If you’re not Canadian, when is your equivalent to thanksgiving and are you planning anything big? I went for a hike with some friends and will be having a nice dinner tonight. What’s your favorite part of Thanksgiving? It is a nice break and allows me to have a small rest.
  7. 1. It's been an amazing week of hockey! What changed that gave us this good week as a team and for individual personnel? I think we just clicked well this week. The management has also done a great job. 2. Apart from winning the Continental Cup again, what is one thing you hope the team or your player could do this season? I hope that we are able to stay at the top of the league. Personally, I hope to just continue my progress as a player. 3. Trade deadline is coming up. Should or do we need to do anything? I don't think big changes will be beneficial. We are on a good stride and shaking it up too much may cause problems. 4. It is unreal how well our team's individual players are playing, how many of our players could reach ppg at season's end? I wouldn't be surprised if we have 6 or 7 players be ppg. 5. What are your thoughts on the NHL preseason so far? It has been nice to see young players fight for spots. I hope there are some underdog players who are given a chance because of this preseason. 6. If injuries is a setting that could be turned on, who is most likely to end the season without being injured? Probably Zach Kisslinger II. He's a tough guy.
  8. Welcome back to Johnny Xavier’s Wild Week Review! This is an article that allows Johnny Xavier to see his stats in an orderly fashion, as well as allow him to see the places where he may need to improve. Every week will be reviewed and any momentous moments will be shouted out whenever they may be. That being said, let us get on to the review! Now, if you did not already notice, last week I was unable to complete a weekly review due to some scheduling conflicts, mainly due to my schooling, so I am going to do something a little different in this review and talk about my general observations from the week. I will be taking some information from games where Johnny Xavier played relatively well, games where Johnny Xavier, in all honesty, crapped the bed, and talk about the plans for the upcoming week of games that he has. So, let us start with the overall production of Johnny Xavier over the past two weeks. To say it bluntly, Johnny Xavier had a rough week the week before last. There were a string of pointless streaks for Xavier, but he was still able to produce well defensively. He luckily was still able to find the back of the net, though seeming to be a rare occasion, scoring his first goal of that week against the Vancouver Wolves. Johnny Xavier seemed to have too much on his mind, mentally blocking him from performing better in these very important games. This week saw Johnny Xavier gradually find some more production. He was able to have some sporadic 1 point games, whether he would score a goal and register an assist, helping his team earn and maintain the top spot in the whole league! A few games to note by Johnny Xavier from this week are his games against HC Davos Dynamo and Riga Reign, where he was able to register 2 points in each of those games. However, the game of the week comes from another game against Riga Reign, where Johnny Xavier would register 2 goals and 1 assist for 3 points, as well as earning a plus 4 rating. Though things have come down to earth since that game, it hopefully lit a spark in Johnny Xavier and will drive him to play even harder. Johnny Xavier's goals for the upcoming weeks are to just stay consistent. Xavier does not want to hinder his team and cause the team to lose, so he is still going to try and play his two-way game. At the end of the day, it is not about personal accomplishments for Xavier, but for him and his team to go all the way and win the championship. After meeting with Johnny Xavier, he had this to say: “Honestly, I just wanna win with this team. As long as we earn a win I am fine taking some statistical hits from time to time… as long as it’s not forever.” We will hopefully be back with the usual type of review for Johnny Xavier next week. Thank you everybody for reading. Xavier’s current stats: 15 goals - 23 assists - 38 points - +12 in 52 games Word count: 532
  9. 1. We are leading our conference and tied point-wise for 1st in the league. How is your player doing according to preseason expectations? I think he is doing a lot better. There are still some dry streaks in production, but compared to last year he is doing much better. 2. Almost everyone on the team have 20+ points, who has been the most surprising for the team so far? I would say Brain Payne. He is getting so many points, while also wracking up the penalty minutes. He is crazy. 3. Who has been most disappointing for the team so far? I don't think anyone has really disappointed this season. Everyone is meeting or surpassing expectations. 4. What is one thing we could do to improve our team? We just need to keep evolving as players and get better. 5. When we're playing at home, do you eat dinner out or at home with family? If mumma cooking some good meals you know I am eating with the family. 6. Does your player have their own family? If so, describe their immediate family. Not yet, but hopefully one day he will have a lovely family that will watch hockey with him.
  10. This week brought quite a bit of success for Johnny Xavier. He started this week off slow, failing to score a point in the first game of the week. However, it did not take very long for Xavier to make up those points, as, in his very next game against Prague, he obtained 2 assists and had a plus 3 in the dominant 5 to 1 win. These assists came at good times as well, as Xavier’s first assist was on the game winning goal. Over the next 5 games, Johnny Xavier managed to score 3 points, 2 goals and 1 assist. Though this is a very respectable pace, Xavier decided to go above and beyond in his next game against Moscow, where he found his scoring touch. Xavier scored 2 goals, as well as earning the first star of the game with this performance. Something about that day worked in his favour, whether it was the meal he ate or the way his skates felt on his feet, but I can assure you that he will be keeping the same routine for a while. In his next game, Xavier earned 2 assists, continuing the high scoring pace from previous games. This led to his game against HC Davos Dynamo, where Xavier had his first 3 point night in his career, assisting on 3 goals, scored by Girts Galvins and Zach Kisslinger II, who scored two goals, as well as the winning shootout goal. To celebrate his first three point game, and hoping for many more in the future, Xavier treated his teammates to a lovely dinner. Johnny Xavier’s last three games of this week saw him get 2 points, 1 goal and 1 assist. He was able to end off the week at a realistic, but respectable pace and leaves him working hard to make this week just as productive. Johnny Xavier was not only able to improve his scoring pace, but he also was able to slightly improve his plus-minus stats! At the start of the week, Xavier was sitting at a minus 3, but now, after a successful week of play, we see him sitting at a plus 3! Let’s see if we can see that number go up even more! Also, we would like to congratulate Johnny Xavier on reaching career highs in every stat! He has passed his career high in goals, previously being 6, assist, previously being 6, and points, previously being 12. The sky's the limit for Johnny Xavier! Thank you everyone for reading this week’s addition of Johnny Xavier’s Wild Week Review! If there is any other part of Johnny Xavier’s game you want me to report on please feel free to let me know! Xavier's current stats: 7 Goals - 13 Assists - 20 Points in 23 games Word count: 531
  11. Welcome to the first ever Johnny Xavier’s Wild Week Review! This is an article that allows Johnny Xavier to see his stats in an orderly fashion, as well as allow him to see the places where he may need to improve. Every week will be reviewed and any momentous moments will be shouted out whenever they may be. That being said, let us get on to the review! Excited to open the season with his new team, Johnny Xavier has started off quite well, especially compared to his most previous season. Though facing a loss in his opening game against his former team, London United, Xavier was able to get his first point of the season with an assist on the lone goal for Warsaw. It was a nice feeling for him as he feels as though he will be able to help out his team throughout the whole season. After the first game, Xavier had a streak of pointless games. Xavier realized that he had to change something about his routine, so, after changing his diet and changing his warmup routine, he started to feel a lot better about himself and his game. This process seemed to work, as the game against the New York Americans is where he scored his first ever goal for the Warsaw Predators! This was not only his first goal of the season, but it was also the game winning goal while on the powerplay, being assisted by Brian Payne and Girts Galvins. The excitement that could be seen on Johnny Xavier's face was crystal clear. This goal has sparked something within Johnny Xavier, so let's hope that this is a great sign for his future. That puck is definitely one that Xavier will never get rid of. This led Xavier to go on a 5 game point streak, making up for his lackluster 3 game pointless streak. He was able to score against the Riga Reign for his second goal of the season and achieve assists in his other games within that streak. Though he failed to score in his most recent game, Xavier is confident that he can keep up his current pace and make a big impact for his team. Though Johnny Xavier is feeling good about his point production, he does need to work on his defensive side. He is currently a minus-3 which, though not very bad, is not ideal in the eyes of Xavier. He wants to have a strong defensive game, so you can be sure that he will be putting some effort in developing his defensive side of the game. He hopes that the negative quickly becomes a high positive, especially if he is the one scoring the goals. Thank you everyone for reading if you made it this far. I am hoping to do this weekly, both for enjoyment and to see what Xavier can improve on. One day, Xavier hopes to be seen as an amazing role player who can be trusted in any scenario and, if he is lucky enough, be able to become a leader of his team. Let us hope for a great and productive season! Xavier's current stats: 2 goals - 4 assists - 6 points in 10 games 537 words
  12. 1. How did we fare after a first week of hockey in S85? I think our first week went pretty well. If we are able to keep this pace, or hopefully improve it even more, we are bound to have a good season. 2. It's Pizza Day, what kind of pizza is your player getting? A large pizza with pepperoni, jalapenos, and a side of garlic dip. 3. A VHL season is a very stressful period of time, how does your player clear their head and relieve stress? It is always nice to take some time and relax the brain by watching some Netflix, Disney+, or YouTube. 4. When the team is out on a road trip, what do you order for the team during dinner? I like to order meals that are special in each town. 5. Road trip song in the team bus and plane? depending on the mood, I would want it to be a song that creates positive emotions, like a Jack Harlow album. 6. NHL training camp and preseason HYPE, what are you looking forward to the most in the upcoming training camp/preseason in the NHL? I am excited to see the upcoming rookies show their stuff and prove they can play in the NHL. I am also excited to watch the new captain of Montreal, Nick Suzuki, with his new leadership role.
  13. 1. Which team appeared to have improved the most to start Season 85? It is hard to say, but New York seems to have added some good pieces to their team. 2. Tanking, is there even a point for such a thing? Though I understand why teams think about tanking, I do not see any point for it. I feel as though trying your hardest to compete maintains the moral of players, staff, and fans of the team, and even if the team still does not do extremely well there is a chance to get rewarded. 3. Which team would be the most dangerous obstacle in our Season 85 title defense? I think Calgary is going to be a dangerous obstacle, but I also have confidence in our team. 4. How were your S84 predictions? I truthfully did not have any, but I am excited to make predictions this year. 5. How do you usually choose for your season predictions? I typically go based off of the previous season, as well as player age and growth. Also if the player/team is consistent. 6. How many people did you invite to the game in your first ever VHL game as a player? So many people. My whole family came and supported me in my first game.
  14. My Replacement pick is F-Matty Fire Next Pick F - Nezuko @BarzalGoat
  15. F - Nico Pearce Also, SORRY FOR THE TYPO!! @Oli-La-Poutine
  16. Johnny Xavier, who is currently a proud member of the Warsaw Predators, has had a very interesting career so far. Starting off of his career with San Diego Marlins, Johnny Xavier was entering a league with zero expectations, as well as no idea what fun he was signing up for. Xavier started his career in a place of "peace", a place where he was able to constantly work hard and develop himself as a supporting player of his team. After his first season with the San Diego Marlins, Johnny Xavier was extremely pleased with his performance, scoring 27 goals, 54 assists for 81 points in his first ever season. He took this success and thrived off of it, wishing to continue his development and hope to be a leader of his beloved team. His second season also showed success, being a point per game player with 72 points, and scoring over 30 goals. Xavier has always seen himself as a "pass first" type of player, but after seeing the goal success he was having, he felt as though he could do anything. Sadly, Xavier and his team just fell short of winning it all, with Xavier scoring 15 points in 13 playoff games, but that experience that Xavier went through raised his confidence and made him excited for his next journey, becoming a player for the VHLE. Johnny Xavier spent two seasons in the VHLE playing for the Cologne Express, which he loved. His first season felt strong for Xavier, reaching 80 points and scoring 24 goals for his team, as well as scoring 10 points in 11 games during the playoffs. Xavier, continuing his steady development, was only focused on the positive, seeing his success with his team and focusing on how to do better next season. The following season Xavier reached a respectable 82 points and 35 goals, but did not perform well in the playoffs, only scoring 1 point in 4 games. However, Xavier was unbothered, and, after being traded to London United, was excited for his rookie season of the VHL. This was around the time where Xavier realised that his development would need to take a jump in order to keep up with the other amazing players of this league, but, while dealing with personal issues, he became complacent. Xavier's rookie season with London United was not as positive as Xavier had hoped, only scoring 12 points and 6 goals. Seeing his struggles, Xavier knew something had to be done, so, after overcoming adversity, is attempting once again to raise his development and become a main supporter of his new team, The Warsaw Predators! Xavier is thrilled to be a part of this team and is excited to begin playing with them. Johnny Xavier would also like to thank everyone who he was played with, worked with, and has showed him continuous support up until now. Xavier refuses to quit and is realising now that the time to show everyone he can do better in now. Let's get the next season started! Word count: 507
  17. Getting pretty old VHL. Happy birthday!
  18. 1. I always feel as though our chances are high. I have a lot of confidence in this team. 2. I do. Just because a team is seen as "elite" on paper doesn't mean they will perform to that same ability. Looking at an example from the NHL, nobody would have claimed the the Montreal Canadiens were a Stanley Cup finalist level team, but they made it. 3. It would mean everything to win gold for team Canada. We all work hard and deserve this. 4. I say thank you way too much. 5. Just do what you always do. You made it here by playing your way, so don't stress out about playing any specific way. Just go out there and try your hardest. 6. I am a bit confused, but also excited at the same time. I will have to pay extra attention for the next few weeks so I know what's going on.
  19. 1. I was just upset. It’s never a good feeling when something like that happens. 2. I don’t know. I feel as though there isn’t anything else we could have done. 3. I’m just keeping busy with school and shit. Gotta stay on the grind. 4. I’m just gonna see where the wind takes me. 5. Not really. I should probably think of one though. 6. I don’t have any specific songs, but I will take recommendations!
