Posting early this week so I can claim it next week, because that's how I roll.

Things have been going fairly well for my player and build thus far, and while it is true that Vancouver is not a top contending team, I have helped keep us out of the bottom of the standings. I am facing an incredible number of shots and while I don’t have much chance to lead the league in goals against, I do have a fair shot at keeping my hold atop the save percentage leader board. All of that in of itself makes this rookie season a pleasant one even though it is very unlikely we make the postseason. I have to be honest and also admit that I am extremely happy to come into a starting role in the VHL. It was one of the thoughts that crossed my mind, and I don’t want to say it was a concern, because I expected my first season to be in a backup role. So, for my season to exceed my expectations has been a great feeling. It is always a risk to create a goaltender, but it looks as though my risk is paying off so far. (187 words)

It was a rough weekend for me in terms of my health. I’m dealing with a herniated disc in my neck (much like Eichel) only I can’t go and afford a private surgery to remove and replace the disc, so I have to wait. Just means I’m in pain 24/7, nbd. Well, the season has begun and the results for Fuhr have been fantastic. I like what I am seeing, and I know that all goalies are getting record numbers due to the attribute switch. This is something I am not going to complain about but what I will say is that I still like my build thus far. I have a good sense now of where I am going to take it for the remainder of my career, but hot damn is it good to see such results in my rookie season. Do goalies ever win rookie of the year? I know it takes a quick check from me to see if any have won but I don’t think it’s too often… could this be the year for me? Those would be HIGH hopes at best, but I think I’ll comfortably play around with the idea in my head a little longer. When does hoping hurt?

Nice to see that preseason has arrived as it’s been a longer offseason than normal with the attribute changes. I am really excited to see how it plays out this season and beyond, and I am cautiously optimistic that we will finally be able to see some diversity when it comes to player builds. So far so good for Fuhr, I mean, we didn’t win a game but the results from my tender are promising. I think I am on the right track when it comes to my individual build, and I am curious about how this will all play out for when I finally hit depreciation. The one thing I never got to do my first time around with a goalie in STHS was finish my build, so this will all be a new experience from here on out. Looks like I’ll be the starter for the Wolves as there is no other competition to take the net from me, and I can’t complain. I was hoping this would be the case for when I recreated, so now my only job is to make sure I keep it.
