Well, the season is done, and the postseason is underway. Not much to report on the Wolves front other than that I had no idea we did not have a first round pick this draft. That’s not entirely true, we have DC’s first round pick, I just had no idea we didn’t have OUR first-round pick. So, while we won’t be able to add a top two pick to our team there is enough talent this draft to snag a potential star. Since I don’t have to GM this team, I certainly don’t have to worry about who we get, but it’ll be an interesting upcoming draft (then again, it usually is). Unfortunately, I am suffering a great deal in my RL due to my ongoing injury, I see a pain doctor tomorrow morning, but it takes its toll on me when it comes to being able to work a full day and function. I find myself constantly fatigued, and while I do hope to record a pod this may be the first week of Fuhr’s career where I hit the welfare button. (183 words)

My initial thought for this week's theme week was to do a podcast, which I may still get to this week depending on how it all shakes out, but I have decided to write a PT instead. This was due to the fact that I've been reading all of these appreciation posts and thinking about how I am tagged in absolutely none of them. Just wait a moment, before you react to my selfish insecurities, it's okay- I mean, I'm okay with it. I know I shouldn't focus on myself at all this week because it's quite self-centered and narcissistic of me, and defeats the purpose of the theme in of itself... BUT... the lack of a tag made me understand just how much I am barely a part of this community. It's my own fault, let's be real. I don't reach out to hardly anyone and I am never on discord. I barely post on other people's posts and I rarely engage outside of a simple reply to one of my posts. I am very much a recluse on purpose and I have some sort of issue deep within me that prevents me from engaging more than I do. I'm not quite sure what it is anymore... that is... what it is about me that pushes me away from others. I do it both instinctively, and with intent. I am constantly available in the sense that I do check the forums daily but I can't help but feel reluctance to engage even when I am engaged with. I am a confusing person, even to myself. And yet, I still want to be here... maybe it is as simple as having a player? A purpose. Maybe it all has to do with simple stats and trying to be the best at something that SHOULD involve my engagement but for some reason I am unable to give into it. I don't know why, and while I didn't expect to feel sadness this week I do. It's so dumb, but I do. The funny thing is that I know I won't change this about me. I know that the inner part of me that purposely stays at a distance will still win this war, and that I will still stay away. Because the part of me that should be stronger, that should be more willing, went away a long time ago. It's weird to realize something like this about yourself, and so it is that I will now show my appreciation is the most distant form ever--- RANDOM TAGS! That's right, I am going to start tagging each letter of the alphabet and the first member to pop up is going to get my appreciation. So here we go: @A Lazz - Hello you fine person, and while you were only with us for one day and one post- I still appreciate that. Perhaps you will return one day? Perhaps not. @B Beach - I have to admit, I'm a fan of the beach, and beaches- so I appreciate that you put that word in your username. @C12K - My childhood best friend's fav number was 12, and I asked him why - he told me, "What could be better than 1 next to 2?" @D-Note - I'm curious what the D references in the note. I have an imagination but I don't want to get banned. @E.J - I used to like listening to EJ Hradek. @F1R3 - When I first saw your name I thought it was an acronym for, "For Real." @G Beaudoin - Your name sounds French, a language I love. @H0PPY75 - Here's a question, could you hop 75 times in a row? Let's see it! @I dont know what I am doin - Neither do I. @j__z - Anyone else seeing a NSFW name here? @K13R4N - Again I am seeing, "Karen," in your name, and because of that you need to settle down! @l Vector x 12 l - If you're like me you would never expect the first initial in this username to be L, instead you'd think it was I. But I digress. @M-Dawg - You my dawg! @N0HBDY - Ah yes, we finally land on a person I know. I do appreciate you good sir, you were a great AGM in New York and I think of you as a fine member of this community. @O Ghost O - (insert scary ghost face) @P-O Fournier - Anyone else think Fournier is PO'ed? Settle down, you're appreciated. @Qew - The most original username you can get! @r0p0nen - Keep it classy. @S. Kuchar - Name is so close to Kachur that it scares me, but because it's not Kachur I appreciate you. @T0PSHELF - Up top! @UDan - Udan right! @v.2 - Hello another member I recognize, and while we haven't had too many interactions I appreciate what you do for this community. You come across as a very supportive and fun person, and it's people like you that make this site as great as it is. @W25644 - Yes it's been a long time, but those 2 posts of yours were 2 little. @x Dahlin x - Not even one post? Still appreciated, so there. @yaboiaidan14 - What up my boi!? @Zach DeDutchie - Sounds like a wonderful dessert. There you have it. Till next time!

I found the official version: He told a user to fuck off because they asked him about a SIM. Even if Beketov is friends with Dill, no commissioner should be telling a user to fuck off in public, especially when they ask about something like the SIM. It's not a good look (unprofessional), and if you didn't know Beketov, you might not want to message him about something in the future. Before you go and tell me it's not a big deal, Commissioners should be held to a higher standard, as they represent this league. (you’re welcome)

Well, here it is, theme week is upon us and it's a theme I can get behind - appreciation! I'm all about member positivity and I have more than a few members I'd like to do a PT about so it'll be interesting to see how my podcast turns out. It will be out later this week due to timing in my RL as normally I'd have it posted by now. The season is all but over for my player Fuhr as Vancouver won't be contending for the finals and Fuhr has hit the 64-game limit for starts as a goalie. I'm happy with my save percentage and when you consider how many shots I've faced I think I can call it a successful rookie year. The question remains as to whether or not it was enough to be considered for rookie of the year? Ultimately it's hard to say when you look at the competition but regardless of how it plays out, I am happy with my progress thus far. I like my build and I'm looking forward to continuing in the same direction. 182 words

I have been waiting to submit my PT this week because I am still not sure if there will be a theme week at all. I saw that Bek mentioned not putting it in the scheduling, but I am waiting for an official response on it. I am not going to lie and say that I love theme week, because I don’t. I just find that the ideas are often recycled because finding ways to make theme week fun and engaging is hard to figure out. It’s something that in a way is needed to allow for an opportunity to earn more but the creativity involved can often be stifled by the subject matter. I know ultimately that I can submit my PT this week and still do one for theme week I am just waiting for an announcement. So, what’s the deal? We having a theme week or not? And if not, please just award us the TPE instead because free TPE is always the best kind of TPE. (170 words)

So here we are at the start of another week and my path remains as status quo. The sole goal of this season is to earn and build and continue to prepare my player for the next generation of Wolves. It’s been a fine run thus far and I am happy with my results, so I don’t have much to complain about. I like the fact that I play such a pivotal role on the team and it’s the first time being a goalie has felt right since my last goalie player (in another league that is). I was taking a look at the all VHL team for seasons 21-30 and it’s quite interesting to look at some of the users behind the players. I think it’s quite a positive statement to see how many members are still around, and it goes to show the lasting appeal of this league. There really is something special about the VHL, and it’s more than just building a player – it’s the legacy that can come from it. (174 words)

Things have been going fairly well for my player and build thus far, and while it is true that Vancouver is not a top contending team, I have helped keep us out of the bottom of the standings. I am facing an incredible number of shots and while I don’t have much chance to lead the league in goals against, I do have a fair shot at keeping my hold atop the save percentage leader board. All of that in of itself makes this rookie season a pleasant one even though it is very unlikely we make the postseason. I have to be honest and also admit that I am extremely happy to come into a starting role in the VHL. It was one of the thoughts that crossed my mind, and I don’t want to say it was a concern, because I expected my first season to be in a backup role. So, for my season to exceed my expectations has been a great feeling. It is always a risk to create a goaltender, but it looks as though my risk is paying off so far. (187 words)
