Vancouver, BC - Canada The press conference room is alive with casual conversation while the group of reporters awaits the arrival of the Vancouver Wolves administration. Today is an exciting day in the history of the Wolves franchise as Vancouver is expected to introduce their new top draft selection, Brandt Fuhr. The rookie goaltender is destined to fill the void left by the recently retired Thadius Sales and the bar is quite high for Fuhr should he ever expect to reach the same heights as the previous tender. The room quiets as the door leading to the conference opens and in walks the management team of the Wolves, however, noticeably absent is Brandt Fuhr. The reporters pick up on the confusion from the administration as they look back for their promising star, certain that he had been following behind them only moments before. The assistant to the General Manager quickly walks back through the door in which they came while the remaining management members take their seats at the press conference table. After several minutes the assistant to the General Manager emerges from the hallway with a look of absolute worry on his face. The assistant moves fast to the side of his manager and whispers in his ear. The General Manager of the Wolves, Nyko, does his best to hide his surprised look while he hears the news, and after a lengthy explanation Nyko shifts slightly so that he can speak into the microphone in front of him, “It would appear,” he starts to say before he nods in the direction of his assistant, dismissing him, “That our prospect is lost.” A loud commotion fills the room as reporters discuss this revelation. A hand is thrown up in the crowd as a reporter calls out a question, “Will he still be attending the conference?” Nyko nods slightly, “We hope so.” “Do you know where he is?” Nyko hesitates for a moment before he shakes his head, “We believe he’s still in the building.” Another hand is thrust up from another reporter, “Was he aware of the press conference?” Nyko nods, “Oh yes, he was. In fact, he only went missing before we stepped into the room.” “Is it possible he was kidnapped?” Nyko shakes his head furiously, “No, I don’t believe so, of course not.” “What are your expectations for Brandt Fuhr?” Nyko thinks about the question for only a moment before he answers, “We see him in Vancouver at the start of next season. We want to give him every opportunity we can to grab a hold of the starting job, but we’re not going to give it to him. Every Wolf has to earn their place in the pack.” Suddenly the assistant to the General Manager approaches Nyko again, and whispers once more in his ear, “You’re kidding,” Nyko says to the assistant with his statement being caught by the microphone. The assistant shakes his head, indicating he is not kidding. Nyko rubs his forehead for a moment in clear frustration before he leans back into the microphone in front of him, “We’re sorry everyone, but it would appear as though Fuhr has left the building. We will have to reschedule.”

- Well, here it is Monday morning and I feel like I got no weekend at all. We had a hiccup in my RL when my son took off running toward the road and my wife subsequently went after him, only to trip and absolutely wreck her ankle. A bad sprain, and not broken, but this has meant that I spent all weekend on my feet taking care of both of them. - Things went just as expected when it comes to how the VSN scouted the draft, and lo and behold I went second overall to Vancouver. I am beyond happy to join the Wolves for a number of reasons including the fact that they have a kick ass brand, and a history of success. One of the best aspects of joining the Wolves as well is I have a clear path to starting in net, which was something I was wondering about all last season. - I find it somewhat interesting that not a single VHLE team contacted me ahead of their draft and let me fully explain that statement. I know that the consensus was that I wouldn’t go to the E because of my earn rate but I did go on record stating I would be open to it. Perhaps it was the fact that I was drafted by the Wolves that put the nail in the coffin? Since they had no goalie I would assume that most GM’s just thought that I would go up regardless (which has happened), BUT I did expect to at least get messaged about it. No big deal, I’m not upset, just find it interesting.

What’s a strange thing you’ve done? If you could have an unlimited supply of one thing, what would it be? What’s the weirdest thing you’ve ever eaten? What’s your favorite TV show? Would you rather be the funniest or smartest person in the room? Would you rather meet your ancestors or descendants? If you could meet any historical figure, who would they be? What three items would you bring on a desert island?

The title says it all, would it be possible to add them? I’ve always found it interesting who chooses what number/has what number and it would be awesome to see numbers displayed on the portal team page.

'Twas the day before the draft, and all through the VHL The prospects are stirring, and saying farewell; Goodbye my VHLM team, their speech is sincere, Hello VHL and Europe, I’ll be right there. The GM’s are nestled, all snug in their chairs, While visions of players dance playfully in the air; The Blue’s are ready, the portal intact, And once it’s all over, we’ll all want to nap. When suddenly on Discord there arose such a chatter, Baozi sprang from his chamber to see what was the matter. “Off to mute!” He exclaimed like the madman he is, Cleaning up gen chat by dispelling the gifs. "Now, BANA! Now, ALEX! Now, RAYZOR and ENO! On, SPARTAN! On DOM! On, HEDGE and on NYKO! Now, Cow! Now, DOOM! Now, McWolf and RICER! On, DLAMB! On JEFF and INSTANT-ROCKSTAR!” Choose your destiny and select your star, Get it wrong and you might not go far. No matter the choice, it’s hard to go wrong, SO HAPPY VHL DRAFT EVERYONE, LET’S HAVE SOME FUN!

Chicago Warsaw DC Davos New York Helsinki The Lottery Gods have spoken and we find ourselves with our draft lottery results. We now have an idea as to what teams will be picking where and I've done enough of a preliminary scout to find out what teams might want to take me on. That being said, my destination remains a mystery and with good reason- Let's start with a look at numero uno: CHICAGO Ah yes, the Phoenix, a kick ass brand in a kick ass city. I look at their team and I see a clear need for a number one goaltender, but am I worth passing up Scotty Sundin? Look, I'm the real deal and I know what I'm capable of but even I would have a hard time picking between Scotty and I. Does Chicago want to start the draft off with a franchise center or franchise goalie? They do say that great teams build from the net out, but in reality, the only person of course who can answer this questions is Jeff and being that he and I have yet to chat I don't know if I'll get my answer. WARSAW They drafted Wumbo last year, so neeeeext. DC They've got Utonium, no chance. DAVOS Why hello there option 2, you look lovely this evening. Davos is a team that has a legendary history, why not add another legendary player into the fold? I have to admit that I think Fuhr would beautiful in the Dynamo colors and wouldn't be surprised to see myself land here. But do I go even this high? Hard to say with all the talent at the top. NEW YORK And heeeeeeeeeeello door number 3!!! I enjoyed my time in the big city last go around and while it didn't end the way I intended I would have no trouble suiting up for the Americans once again. *** All of this is speculation of course, and it depends on whether I even go in the top five at all. I do like my chances with some of the teams in the top five. I know what I have to offer and it's just a matter of whether or any of these prestigious franchises feel the same. So, what say you?

So that’s that – the Mexico City Kings have been eliminated from the VHLM postseason and with their elimination my career in the VHLM also ends. It was a nice run this year and I like to think my build played a factor in our success. I am going to continue the trend with what you’re seeing in my player page and my hope is to have an impact as soon as I move to my next team. But what team will that be? We have both the VHLE and the VHL drafts ahead which will determine who picks me… but does a VHL team have a spot for me right away? It’s been a question I’ve had lingering in my mind since the moment I recreated, and I won’t have an answer until I get an answer. If you’re asking me what I expect to happen, I will admit that I see myself spending a season in the E… that being said should a VHL team let me know they want me to come up right away then I hate to say it, but I’ll be taking the opportunity. For now, it’s time to sit back and enjoy the remainder of the postseason, good luck to Houston in the M (although, I don’t think they’ll need it). (217 words)

So currently I’m watching the Weekend Away on Netflix, and while I wouldn’t recommend the movie it continues to amaze me the amount of money that can be put into such a crap script. It costs a lot of money to make something of that quality and why you wouldn’t refine the story until you record picture is beyond me. Speaking of stories we got the green light in Mexico and cruised our way to the second round. Ooooohhh boy do I ever love a good sweep, especially when I’m the one holding the broom (it’s a metaphor, this is a team sport after all!) And so it is that our next opponent will be formidable and that is to expected if you’re going to win it all. Do I like our chances? Of course. Time will tell if we can get it done, but I truly believe we will give them a run for their money. I must admit that I’m anxious to see what the future brings beyond the playoffs but living in the moment, game by game, is still a lovely feeling. Happy Monday y’all!
