  1. At the halfway point of S84 the European league is heating up and developing a nice rivalry between the Warsaw Predators and the Moscow Menace. Both teams are sitting at the top of the standings with the Menace just 4 points ahead with 2 games up. Some real hatred has brewed in the last few games with Moscow veteran and penalty minute leader Henri Le Massif @Garshand Warsaw sophomore, Brian Payne (#2 in PIMS) dropped the gloves on two occasions. Fight one Henri le Massif beat the brakes off of Payne at center ice in a one-sided tilt. More recently, Payne attempted his revenge on the 6 foot 8 250lb forward. They had a spirited brawl that ended with both bloody in what would be considered a draw. Both teams have grit and love to play a nasty game. With such gritty play we can look forward to some ugly PIM filled games as the two teams battle for the top spot in the Euro league.
  2. Happy birthday
  3. 1. Payne is doing way better than I expected. He is getting hit and points but lots of penalties. 2. hmmm…DeGroot and Nalwa. 3. Moscow for sure. I’ve had two fights against them and I feel a good rivalry playing against them. 4. well I feel their goalie played well against an onslaught of shots. We just need to find a way to get a few more past him. 5. oilers have done well. I would have liked to seen them get Connor Brown but can’t complain. 6. depends on work mostly. Usually mondays or Saturdays.
  4. 1. I think our team finally clicked. Different people step up at different times and makes us consistent. And…our goalie has been amazing. 2. I don’t think so. I wish! The EU conference has some great teams that seem to be struggling a bit. I look for it to be competitive as the season goes on. 3. I was one of those signings and it was so easy for me to stay here. First, I’m loyal and this group has been great and a lot of fun. Maybe a 4th dman could be added before playoffs. 4 great GM, AGM, amazing players and a great locker room. I would play on this club for free. 5. hmmmm not sure. 6. Draft was shocking really. As I live near Seattle it was nice to see them grab Wright at 4. Surprised me
  5. Warsaw is off to a great start to begin S84. Sitting at first place in a very tough division I’d like to highlight the play of their sophomore phenom, Girts Galvins. After a slow rookie season, he had only 7 goals which surprised most due to Galvins natural goal scoring ability. However, this year nobody is surprised to see him lighting the lamp like everyone expected. So far at 23 games Galvins has 9 goals 11 assists for 30 points. Added to that he has ZERO PIMS which is shocking because he can play with an edge to his game. And he plays on Warsaw where nasty play is encouraged! Galvins is a solid TPE earner, and his start shows the dedication and hard work he puts into being such a great teammate. I am excited to watch his career and see him flourish into a deadly goals scoring threat for years to come.
  6. Damn! Vasile should had held out for more money!!! lol.
  7. Thunder will pick it back up and I am positive Payne will not keep his current streak going. AND>>>>> I am sure that Payne vs Thunder will happen before years end!
  8. In my quest for 6 TPE I hereby post some random thoughts about season 84 so far at 12 games in. My Warsaw Predators are in a good spot and won a nice game against division rival Riga yesterday so that felt good. Calgary is off to a great start, and I see North American conference has some pretty close standings so far. I am little surprise by DC’s slow start, but I am sure they will be battling for top spot soon with the amazing roster they have. As far as stats go for the season so far, I absolutely love that defenseman, Hard Markinson @STZis the league leader in points so far with 7 G 17 A 24 PTS. I would love to see a fellow DMan win a scoring title. Also not surprisingly, Bo Johansson @Shindigs is tearing the league up in his sophomore season. The S83 Rookie of the Year is 10th in scoring so far and has 16 assists showing all teams that a pass first Dman can make a huge difference. I am happy to see Chicago battling so well with such a young team. Great job Bo! Checking out the rookie class so far, another Defensive player is leading the league in scoring. The 3rdoverall selection from LA Callum Murray @Berockais playing as advertised with 11 points in 11 games. It’s no surprise to see some of the other names on the rookie list doing well like, Hammer Voss, Bob Vlad, and Bradley Buzzer. I am a little surprised not to see Davos Defenseman, Jake Thunder @Thunderon this list yet. He’s racking up the penalty minutes so maybe he’s taking a different role to start the season, but I would look for him to gather points in bunches soon. Dabnaw Shaw @Dabnadand Rhyr Trenton @DeeGoatare showing their fearlessness by blocking 98 shots between them already in 12 games. I can’t imagine how much ice Malmo and Prague must have to ice these two’s bruises after a game. Great job both of you! It’s no surprise that Druss Deathwalker @animal74 is leading in hits with 68. Mourning, Idaho., Massif, Detroit are all familiar names at the top of the “hard to play against” list. The fact that all these players score as well even makes them scarier. Jonathan Ori @ROOKIE745 must have been voted most hated VHL Player so far because he’s been hit 52 times in 11 games. It could also mean that teams are deathly afraid of his passing skill and just want to keep him from embarrassing them. In the PIM department another defenseman, Poopy Peepants @JardyB10has climbed to the top with 47 PIM in 12 games (impressive). Warsaw is showing their grit as well with 3 players in the top 10. Other familiar names like last year’s PIM Leader Vinny Detroit and rookie Jake Thunder round out the top ten in a gritty start to the season. Well, there you have a nice short 12 game re-cap of the season so far. Hope everyone has a great week! Payne
  9. Review: Well.......This has to be what I consider a perfect article. You included detailed researched stats, player profiles, examples of what each player brings to the club, and talked about rookies and necessary additions to the club like the game changing addition of Idaho. What I most loved about the article is the pictures separating the different posts with awesome graphics of your team logo and uniforms (*which are perfect). As a graphic challenged individual I appreciate the effort. Overall I only have one negative to say about this article, there is no picture of Brian Payne!!! just kidding. Amazing read, thank you. 10/10
  10. A hot start for sophomore defenseman Brian Payne has not gone to his head. We caught up with Payne after coming off a nice win against rival, Riga. Payne has 4 goals and 9 assists 13 points to go with 42 hits and 38 blocked shots. We asked Payne how he felt about being near the top of the scoring chart when usually his game is playing the bruising defenseman? Payne response “well pretty much you can thank the players I play with for all of my points. With players like Nalwa, DeGroot, Lamb, Trunov, Marner, and Girtz if I just keep my stick on the ice and not screw up the points will come. I am sure as the year goes on those studs on my club will certainly pass me by. And that’s ok. If I score, I am happy but I take greater pride in stuffing the opposing teams best.” There you have it. Payne and the Predators have a few tough games tonight against the DC Dragons with new addition, Duncan Idaho and the reigning champs Seattle Bears. Payne and Idaho had a serious brawl at center ice last year so let’s hope they do it again tonight!!
  11. 1. I’m happy with where the team is at. I know with the amount of beast scorers we have that the goals will come in time. 2. Payne has been surprisingly great so far. It probably won’t last but I’m just happy he’s producing. 3. I’m not sure really. I’m not sure how the sim set up works but matching our best offensive players against their second line might be an option ?? But again I have no clue. 4. blue berry smoothie is pregame snack. Whiskey and Reese’s peanut butter cups post game. 5. Read, Sleep, and get into trouble with DeGroot. 6. Edmonton
  12. You will be a beast in this league. I’m only hoping I can ride it out with you the whole time.
  13. D-Brian Payne @Spartan
  14. Recruitment of Jake Thunder @Thunder Thunder just hit 500 TPE for (10 TPE Earnings).
  15. F-Zach Kissinger II @v.2
  16. Freaking awesome dude !!!
  17. G- papa emeritus @Otis Boudreaux @Spartan i think Spartan next right?? @v.2
  18. Jeff is up, correct?
  19. F- Vasile Lamb @v.2
  20. Coming off a championship year the Las Vegas Aces look to repeat. But do they have the roster that’s up to the challenge? Let’s take a quick look at some of their players. Hugh G Johnson- 603 236lbs- 199 TPE- A VHLM journeyman he is his 3rd year in the VHLM. With a career total of 16 goals he did finally produce a bit in the playoffs with 10 points in 16 games. He can contribute for sure but might need to listen to his management and move his attribute points a bit. If he does he could be nasty, if not, more of the same. James Kagelberg- 199 TPE- has 15 banked TPE so not sure what his plan is?? Had an amazing year last year with 37 goals and 88 pts. If he stays on the club I look for him to hit 50 goals. Al Land- 185 TPE (16 banked)- Another player wanting to stay in th M to repeat as champ possibly. Had a good season with 58 points and almost a point per game in playoffs. Jimmy MacElroy- big defenseman with 199 TPE. Another bruising maxed out player who can provide offense and crush on D. Juan Ceson- 122 TPE (20 banked). Plays with some grit and had a whopping 240 hits last year. Journeyman VHLMer plays a nasty game so I look for more of the same next year. Cory Evans- 199 TPE GOALIE. Evans when 21 and 0 last year with a 1.37 GAA and 7 shutouts. With him in net anything is possible. With this roster and Shindigs at the help Las Vegas will be competitive. Good luck Aces!
  21. 1. 1st place in the EU. Trunov, Girtz, Lamb, and cod are gonna tear it up! 2. I would like maybe 2.5 -3 weeks BUT with no Requirments for media spots, etc. give players a chance to recharge with free 12 TPE. 3. I think Denver would be a good host. 4. So far I am pleased with the way it is. 5. I like it! Not that I’m gonna win anything but free TPE is cool. Should be more that 1 point tho. 6. Shane Wright will go first. I personally like Logan Cooley but Wright is best player for sure.
  22. As I eagerly await the start of this season, I find it somewhat difficult to find topics of interest to keep earning my much-needed attribute points. For this article I would like to talk about some of the best names in the VHL. There are many creative, interesting, and even annoying people here in the VHL and with that comes some amazingly funny and inspiring player names. So today, were going to chat about some of these beauties. The Board Game Clue on Skates (BGCOS) @MubbleFubbles- Well having been a teammate of this dynamo I know what a good dude he is for sure. On top of that he created a difficult to type and interesting name that is seen often because of how much he scores. There has been rumors that him and teammate Bo Johansson are taking some exotic performance enhancing substance of some type but I am withholding judgment now and will only tell league officials if they beat Warsaw. Seymour Butts- @fonziGGOk having a dry and old school sense of humor I believe this to be a classic. Simple, funny, and to the point. Enough said AK92 Wit da Hoodie @hedgehog337 Ok AK is not in the VHL yet and I almost fly into a rage trying to type such a ridiculously long name. But hey, to each is own. Pretty high draft pick and had a good season with San Diego and Mexico City putting up solid numbers for a Dman. Looks like we will be seeing his name often in the near future. That Dude @Cornholio- easy, simple, and to the point. When the question is asked, “Who scored the game winner tonight?” The answer, “That Dude.” Crafty veteran who’s scored 200 goals in VHL so he can play and think up awesome names. Druss Deathwalker- @animal74This name has to my personal favorite. No other name can instill some fear into opposing players like the protagonist from the fantasy series by David Gemmell. And just like the character in the novels, VHL Druss dishes out some massive punishment and puts up points. DON’T give this dude a battle axe until after he retires, please. Mo Probert @Yahtzee- Ok nothing super creative about this name but since it has the last name of the greatest NHL fighter of all time (my opinion) I had to include him. He is currently playing for VHLE champs, Bratislava. I look forward to him making the VHL so maybe I can see that great box score fight with Probert vs Payne. Huge G Johnson- @EMoney002A VHLM lifer and huge disappointment to me since I recruited him. Stuck at 199 TPE he did win a championship with Las Vegas last year. Either way knowing Johnson’s personality he is a funny dude and I hope he catches the VHL addiction like I have, and his next player makes it to the VHL so I can beat him senseless for costing me recruitment TPE. Honorable Mention Names Xavier Booberry James gove dropper Tavish DeGroot Max Torq Velociraptor Greg
  23. Wow! Thank you Shindig for the kind words!!!
  24. D-Hari Singh Nalwa. @Otis Boudreaux
  25. I’ll keep the pick I have. No worries and thanks
