  2. I’ve given up on Johnson @EMoney002
  3. Hahaha. Bring it.
  4. I recruited @EMoney002 and he has reached over 150 TPE. (1 TPE). Emoney please respond to this
  5. Holy shit. He’s alive ! Welcome back Ort
  6. 1. I would say the Toronto Legion look tough. Good goalie and some high TPE. However, they won't beat Warsaw. 2. As just a player with no other obligations that a GM or management has I felt the offseason was a bit long. It was really difficult to motivate to post meaningless articles for points. Would have been nice for some free TPE for a week or two to get the feel for an offseason and not burn out on point tasks. 3. Matthews is insane good. Best ever?? Not sure yet. He has some talent to compete with in past players like Mats Sundin, Daryl Sitler, Ted Kennedy, etc. I would say that he definitely has the potential to be best ever scorer in Maple Leaf History keeps it up. If they win the Cup this year it would be hard to argue though. 4. Bogdan Turnov with 140 points 5. Perfect stat line for me would be. 15 goals 50 assists 65 points 250 hits 505 PIM!!! 100 SB. (just kidding on PIMS) 6. Hmmmm... I think Aidan Hutchinson from Michigan will be there fist pick. He's a stud player.
  7. OK. I suck at graphics but downloaded Pixlr and wanted to try it. Sorry for its shittyness!!! I'm learning
  8. As I sit here and think of shit to write for my needed TPE I wanted to ponder who has the best team name and logo in the VHLM????? I played for the San Diego Marlins when I was in the M so I am partial (or biased) to them so I will exclude them from my list. For me the best team name comes down to two. The Philadelphia Reapers and Las Vegas Aces. Both names are cool and have a certain ring that matches their respective Cities. If you have ever been to Philly you understand. Lol. I think the winner for best team name must got to the Reapers though. Next logo. I do not know who came up with the team logos but kudos to anyone who had a part in it. I love all the work that has gone into this league. My winner for best logo goes to the Las Vegas Aces. By far the best uniform in the league. Anyway, that Is my 180 words so I will catch y’all next time when I do the VHLE.
  9. Brian Payne #9 601 225lb southpaw! Rookie Defenseman Brian Payne has had more ups than downs on his way to the VHL. The Spokane Washington native grew up playing on ponds and minor leagues and always dreamed of making it to the show. Oddly enough his midget team was called the Spokane Predators so it’s fitting he wears a Predator sweater again in Warsaw. Payne carved his way to the VHLM for the San Diego Marlins. He played steady there and had a bitter loss in the semi-finals of the playoffs his first year. Payne took this year to really learn the league and its added speed and (TPE requirements). By the end of the season and playoffs Payne was playing on the power play and even adding some good point totals come playoffs. This year, while playing for the Bratislava Watchman he again suffered a tough loss in the VHLE playoffs to the Rome Gladiators and their unstoppable goalie. This was a good season for Payne and he did improve offensively as the year progressed. Payne works hard on his game but is still nervous heading into his first season in the VHL. The Predators have a veteran team with experienced defenseman. It seems Payne will have to play a depth role for a bit until he finds his game and what works with the new attributes. Payne is the ultimate team player who will take any role of the club if it helps winning. He will never be a point producing Dman like Bo Johansson or Degroot but he will quietly do the ugly things to help the club win games, especially in the playoffs. He plays with a chip on his shoulder and loves to hit and fight. Sometimes that type of behavior is costly to a club, but it comes with the way Payne plays. Payne has humbling expectations in his first year of VHL time. He wants to contribute defensively for sure and with a physical presence. He knows his minutes will be limited compared to his time in the M and E. He’s ok with it. He did mention that his biggest goal of the year would be to separate some Glue Clue from a few players on the Chicago Phoenix team. We weren’t sure if Payne was joking or not but for Bo Johansson and Board Game Clue on Skates, they better mark the dates they play the Preds on a calendar, it should be a good one.
  10. Yes please sign me up.
  11. @ThunderJake Thunder has reached 277 TPE (4 TPE). https://vhlforum.com/profile/5900-thunder/
  12. Wow this off season seems so long!!!!! As I am anxious for the start of my VHL career I still feel so behind in TPE so the off-season seemed to help out a bit for me. The one glaring obvious thing for me that this off season makes it very difficult to find something interesting (for me) to write about for my much needed 6 TPE. First, I’d like to chat about the recent draft. My good friend and fellow defenseman, Jake Thunder @Thunder was picked 19th overall in the VHL by Davos and 9th overall in the VHLE by Oslo. I was excited for him, and I look forward to fighting him every time Warsaw plays Davos when he makes it up to the show after next season. I was also happy he was drafted by my former and first ever GM JB123. JB helped me navigate my rookie season in the M with the San Diego Marlins. Without his help I would probably still only have 100 TPE. Congrats Thunder! Next, I want to chat about my team the Warsaw Predators. With the some great moves by Dlamb we have some super studs in house to hopefully battle for the Cup this season. Lets take a look at the team: Forwards: Brendan Marner @MetalToday, Zach Kisslinger II @Kisslinger, and Bogdan Trunov @qripllall lead the team with over 700 TPE each. These three beasts combined for an amazing 141 goals last and 357 points. On a special note close to my heart Marner had an amazing 310 hits as well. Next comes Brian Moreau @weekz, Omi Aberg @osens, Robert Wilk @Tomat0, and rookie sensation Girts Galvins @Girts with between 400-556 TPE. Between these three they amassed 131 goals and 310 points total. Having played with Girts last season I can only imagine the numbers he will put up when paired with any of this teams 6 other forwards. Defense: Hari Singh Nalwa @Dil, Tavish DeGroot @rory Rory, and Brian Payne. Hari has a total of 847 TPE (a number I would murder for). The massive 608 250Lb D-man won the Cup in S81 with the Vancouver Wolves and we hope that we can give him another one this year as a Predator. With 20 goals and 69 assists in his last season this phenom will fit in nicely with the offensive talent in front of him. Tavish DeGroot. I had the opportunity to play with Degroot in San Diego in the M during our rookie seasons. He tore up the league and played with a backpack full of sandpaper. Hits, goals, fights he could do it all. A testament to his talent and TPE earning prowess he made the jump directly to the VHL. Brian Payne- Well I am writing this, and I would love to say I had the resumes of the above listed players. But I sadly do not (yet). I will be a good teammate and depth forward until I can get my TPE up to some decent levels. I am hoping my build helps the team win some games and compete for a championship. Goalie: Nothing more to say that WUMBO @Fire Fletcher. He’s a great teammate that played on a struggling Oslo team last season. Despite that he held an Impressive .910 save percentage on a whopping 1470 shots against in a very tough league. With a solid defensive team in front of him I am pumped to see what he can do. GM: Last but not least is team GM -DLAMB @dlamb. In my short time in the club Dlamb has shown he is willing to make moves to help the club win now. With him at the helm I see good things for the club this year.
  13. 1. It's a great pick with a great name. 2. Wumbo is going to have the breakout season IMO. Has a great team and defense in front of him and he is a brick wall in front of the net. 3. I hope he is close to signing. He's a huge talent and brings a lot to the team. I think Dlamb's actions so far are more than enough to show he's committed to bringing a winning club this year. 4. I think the Toronto Legion look pretty tough but it's still early. 5. EARN TPE QUICKLY!!!! Lol. We just took our daughter to Lego Land in San Diego so that was fun. 6. I just started watching Yellowstone. Good so far
  14. Freakin awesome bro. Thank you!!!!
  15. In a recent interview with Warsaw Predator defenseman Brian Payne, he talked about his upcoming season as statistically the worst Dman on the Preds but also about his goals for the season. “What do you think about you lineup after the trades”? Payne: “Well I pretty much stink up the locker room around all these greats. I played in the M with DeGroot but never really chatted with the guy in the Marlin’s locker room, so I still feel like a noob wherever I go. But it’s exciting to be around some solid players who can help me up my game to the next level.” “Are you working on your build and what type of player will you be?” Payne: “Yeah. I fat fingered the save button early on so had to get some tech support and use my re-roll early. Not a smart start to the offseason for sure. I’d like my build to be a defense first, checking Dman. With the greats on the blue line for my team I think I can help more being a defensive minded hitter.” “Finally, you have had some good fights in the Pro-Am recently. Are you looking to drop the gloves with anyone in particular this season?” Payne- “Hmmm, probably Hulk Hogan and James Gloves Dropper. No real reason as I don’t know either of them but they have cool names that would look good on a box score with me the winner. Druss Deathwalker would be cool too, but I’ve read the books and he’d probably kill me.”
  16. 1. Dlamb nailed it! Made some outstanding moves to make Warsaw a competitive team immediately. 2. I like the locker room. I really don’t know anyone and it seems many members know each other well so locker room is lively. I’m still a noob but room is way more active. 3. Maybe some depth forwards come playoff time. 4. I feel so. Looking at the additions and returning players this team has some studs. 5. Jake Thunder. 6. No, I think Will acted stupid. He was laughing about the joke just prior so learn to take a damn joke.
  17. Damn, looks great! I need to learn graphics.
  18. Transaction ID: 87H7683886307363A Doubles Week $1 Million player cash 5 Uncapped TPE
  19. Apparently neither is Payne. Lol
  20. Well, as the offseason starts, I find I struggle to find subjects to chat about for my much needed six points of TPE. So, I decided to mash together a bunch of random thoughts and ideas as I eagerly await my first VHL season with the deadly Warsaw Predators. As I type this, I was notified of some recent trades that have brought the Preds closer to a championship banner. Dlamb @dlamb made some major moves and added defensive studs, Tui Sova @v.2, Hari Singh Nalwa @Dil, and former Marlin teammate of mine, Tavish DeGroot @rory . With the additions of these animals one thing is glaringly obvious. I am still the ABSOLUTE WORST player on the team! LOL. But what a remarkable day for the Preds to pick up such talent just a year after missing the playoffs by one point. Offensively the team is looking stacked and with the addition of Omi Aberg @osens and fellow Bratislava teammate of mine, Girts Galvins @Girts the Preds can run some potent offensive lines. Part of me is glad for the extra time during the off season so that I may max out my TPE earnings, so the Payne Train isn’t a total bum come the start of the new season. Even with some max gains I have resigned myself that I will be a depth Dman for the next season. Which is ok for me because wins and being a good teammate matter way more than individual stats. All in all, great job to our GM Dlamb for putting in the work and making the Warsaw Predators a team to be dealt with in the league. What to talk about next? How about the upcoming draft and my shameless plug for my friend (recruiting point collector) and fellow defenseman Jake Thunder @Thunder. He is projected to go in the top 20 in the draft and I hope that teams recognize what a talented TPE producing player he is. Not a stat producer but a solid DMan that any team will benefit from having. Please who ever drafts him, keep him motivated so that I continue to earn those valuable TPE points for recruitment. What are some other thoughts? (as I struggle for 500 words). This is my third season, first in the VHL and I am still very excited to be a part of such a fun league. I still feel a bit clueless at times but so far the people have been amazing and a special thanks goes out to the GMs, AGMs, teammates, and Admin for making this such a great experience. I can’t imagine the amount of work it takes to run this league for 83 seasons with the amount of people (and personalities). As I begin my career in the VHL I am hopeful to remain engaged in the league and meet some new people and just have some fun. Hopefully the Payne Train hurts some opposing players and for God’s sake I hope to get a fight someday. Preferably against Bo Johansson @Shindigs!!! That’s all for now!
  21. The month of March brought some huge smiles to VHLE defenseman, Brian Payne. With a solid, but not outstanding run in the E, the bruising defensive d-man benefited from the Warsaw Predator’s lack of defenseman available and got the call up from GM, Dlamb @dlamb. We spoke with Payne today and beamed with excitement about going to the big leagues. “I am so excited, and a little nervous. I need to hit the gym (and keyboard) and get my TPE up asap because I will have one of the lower TPE levels in the pros. It is a little bittersweet that I won’t be playing with Bo @Shindigsanymore, but I look forward to smashing him into the boards at least once when we play Chicago.” Payne will be joined by former Watchman forward Girts Galvins @Girts. It will be exciting to see these two Bratislava regulars shine for Warsaw in the years to come and hopefully bring a championship trophy sooner than later.
  22. Looks awesome!!!!!!
  23. 1. I was pretty disappointed in playoffs. I thought Bratislava had a good shot to challenge but fell short. 2. Gaining as much TPE as I can to make to the VHL. Trying to hit 400 but not sure its possible. 3. I am excited for the new attribute system. I am still so new that I am not married to the current way its being done. 4. Well, since I am on Warsaw I predict we will be champions. lol 5. Gonzaga---my hometown 6. Well Seattle is absolute trash so I am rooting for Edmonton. I'd like to see them get a good goalie to compete in playoffs. I thought the deal Tampa made for Hagel was interesting. He's good but I think Tampa gave up a bit too much for him.
  24. Now that the Season 82 is officially over for my player, Brian Payne, I would like to reflect on the year as well as my hopes for my up-coming seasons in the VHL. First, I would like to give a huge “Thank you” for league admin, GMs, AGMs, and helpful players as I’ve fumbled my way through my second season. This league cannot be great without people giving up their free time to help make this league great. So, Thank you again!!! My first season I was on a stacked San Diego Marlin team held together by some mysterious Clue Glue I still don’t understand. We made it to semi-finals before getting smacked out of playoffs. This season with the Bratislava Watchman we got knocked in first round and my player (Payne) shit the proverbial bed stat wise. But oh well, I am still learning. It was nice to play with THE Bo Johansson and future Warsaw Teammate Girt Galvins @Girts. Bo @Shindigs taught me a lot and he is a student of the SIM for sure. Thanks to FrostBeard @FrostBeard too for being such a good dude. I am really not sure what to expect from the VHL (if I make it next season). There are some super great players, and I will once again be below average in comparison to the TPE of others, including my own draft class. I have a few hopes and aspirations for next year so thought I’d share (for 500 words anyway). Hopes and Dreams for new attributes I am still so new I didn’t know what a Meta build even was until the last few weeks. I am looking forward to the new attribute system and I understand that like everything new there will be some kinks to work out. My goal will be to make a solid defensive Dman to help Warsaw win the Cup!! Now for this week “hopes and dreams” I will discuss my hope for more fighting in S83. I have more hopes but will stop at 500 so I have something to chat about next week. Fighting: Some people don’t like fighting and want it out of the game of hockey. That’s fine and I understand your arguments. I don’t agree and thought the early 2000’s had some of the most entertaining hockey with just enough of the rough stuff but still a good game. Whether pro or con we can agree that fighting in a SIM is as safe as it can get. I would like to see a few more tilts as the league moves forward. I understand by adding points in fighting your odds go up but even the higher TPE fighters don’t get too many it seems. I am certainly not saying it should take over the SIM but some hate and discontent against division rivals or first round playoff message setting seems like it would add some fire to the box scores. Either way this league is awesome and there are some amazing people here I’ve met. Keep up the great work. Payne #9
  25. Game Recap Philly vs Vegas Thunder leads team to victory of the powerhouse Reapers! In game 6, it was a must win for the 7th seeded Las Vegas Aces. And they came to play. Led by rookie defenseman the Aces were tied in the first period on goals by All Star- Pete Mitchell and Cobalt Burns. Both goals came off a major penalty and game misconduct from Reaper stud, Bobby Rockwell. This proved costly and certainly losing a gamer like Rockwell hurt the Reapers. The Aces carried their momentum into the second period scoring two goals, both assisted by Jake Thunder. The game was everything a fan could ask for. Chippy penalties and rough play shows these two teams do not like each other. Jake Thunder had three assists for the game's second star. If the Aces are going to carry this over to the final game they will need to capitalize on all penalties taken by the deadly Reapers. 2 for 11 today was not great but worked out. Looking forward to a great final. Go Aces
